This was a total waste of my time and made my pelvic floor symptoms worse. Cindi is overbooked and gives no feedback on progress. I would spend hours there doing the same exercises I could do at home and then see her for maybe 5 minutes. Sometimes I had to leave before I could even get in to see her. Poor pelvic floor treatment by the owner of the business. The only thing she did for my pelvic floor dysfunction was have me purchase a probe from her practice, go into a room, place it in my rectum, connect to a computer. I was left to follow prompts and that was it!!!! She barely explained any progress. I would have to seek her to get any feedback after weeks of doing this. She was busy running between patients and having young adults helping with all other types of physical therapy on other patients. Biofeedback is only ONE small component to helping a patient with a moderate rectocele as I am learning now!!!! It was a waste of time and in my opinion, this is not the practice to go to for a very intimate type of therapy. read more

I can't say enough about Cindi and the whole staff at Physical Therapy and Beyond. I have been a patient with them for three different issues in the last two years. Last year, Cindi helped me avoid rotator cuff surgery, and for the past 5 months for lower back issues, pre-hab before and post PT after a knee replacement. (not an easy recovery). Cindi and her staff are compassionate, positive, kind, professional and really know their stuff! Whenever I was feeling frustrated with my knee recovery, Cindi and Megan always had the answer, they knew how to make me feel better and had the skills and knowledge to keep me motivated and progressing. They were almost as excited as I was when I hit milestones! I am 9 weeks out and just walked 2 miles with no pain! When I walk into any location of Cindi's Physical Therapy and Beyond practice I truly feel like I am coming home. At approximately 25 weeks pregnant, I began to suffer from debilitating back and groin pain...I currently live in Astoria, Queens, so Cindi's office isn't around the corner anymore for me. It didn't matter, I would travel to see her. The same day I let Cindi know about my pain she told me she would see me that evening if I could get there. Throughout my pain, Cindi never jumped to conclusions on what was causing it, such as, "its the position of the baby, it will pass". Cindi treated my pain and helped me feel as comfortable as possible during an incredibly sensitive time in my life. I met Cindi over 15 years ago and since then she has treated both my Mom and Dad as well for other pains. All I can say is do NOT go here for pelvic floor physical therapy. If you are newly post partum and vulnerable please run for the hills before coming here. Someone recommended this location because they were one of the few PT's that took insurance for pelvic floor. Laura made me feel SO uncomfortable and left me alone within the first appointment. Cindi is a miracle-worker. Before her care, I couldn't open my jaw without having terrible pain... the pain was causing migraines and misery. My dentist thought that surgery was the answer for my TMJ however, I did my own research and found Cindi Prentiss! From the very first consultation, I knew I was in good hands. Her vast knowledge and expertise about the body paired with her experience made me feel at ease after living in so much pain for over a year. Fast forward to 3 months and I am chewing gum again, eating bagels and having almost no migraines!! Cindi is the best part of my week. I been to a few Physical Therapy but this one beats them all.Had a full hip replacement on right side and the Therapy that they gave me and those that were there was ridiculous. One was putting a rubber ball between my legs and squeeze legs together,another one was put a rubber band around both my legs and open and closing them while sitting down.But the best one is when i told my physical Therapist Kane that i had a knot on my right leg muscle she told me when i get home to use a rolling pin that my wife uses to bake and roll it over the knot that should help.That was my last time there.. read more

They are so rude and unprofessional Siobanna is so nasty and has the worst attitude, I called to get my co pay back called 5x and still haven't received a call back. They also try and sell you a diagnostic ultrasound which is not covered by insurance and they are a total scam. As previous reviews are so horrible. So unprofessional and dirty facility. Went for scroth therapy.. did useless exercises for 90% of the time and all i went for was the scoliosis therapy. there was no need for the exercises. i only got the therapy i paid for, for about 10 minutes. very watered down version of scroth read more

The worst experience I have ever had in a long time. I went there to do a nerve conduction test on my lower foot which resulted from a previous operation I did on my toes. It was the most painful experience other than having a baby. The woman was pushing a needle like device into my legs and feet and told me to push back on it. She even pushed it into my spine in my lower back, I really don't think she knew what she was doing. My insurance paid over $2000 dollars for that test and I had to come up with another $400 dollars out of pocket.(rip off) Just to get back the test results which were inconclusive. It did not say whether I had any nerve damages, it was just pure speculation on the technicians part. What a joke. And just to add all the racist remarks which were made towards me as a biracial person, they had 3 young white women in the reception room looking through a window and start to discuss the color of my skin and the texture of my hair. One remark why do I have white skin and kinky hair and they thought it was funny. I didn"t know that I had to explain my racial background when I go and to nerve test. They were very vocal about my physical appearance. I reported it to management and not a single apology was made. read more
