We ordered take out for pick up one snowy evening and tried a selection of items off the menu. The pies range from $2.50 to $10.50 depending on what you order. We got a Beef pie, Chicken and cheese pie, Kafta pie, Gyro and cheese pie, as well as a Pepperoni and cheese pie. We liked the Gyro & Cheese pie as well as the Pepperoni & Cheese pie best. All the pies were decently stuffed and tasted fresh. My wife also got a Falafel plate which came with a good portion for a reasonable price ($8.50). There were 6 big falafels, a pita, tahini sauce as a dip, tomatoes, onions and pickles. You could essentially put together your own wrap if you wanted to. It was enough food for her to make two meals out of it. Why am I giving this place only 3 stars? The food was good, but when I went into the restaurant to get our order, the guy working there was kind of rude. Maybe he was cranky because of the snowy weather slowing down business or maybe it was something else, but it was uncalled for and took me off guard. We would still go back just for the food, but hopefully their customer service will improve by the next time.

Drove from Kanata to try this new little gem in barrhaven with a friend. Very cute decor and attention to detail. It sells fatayer (pies) but it's not ur typical pie place. Elegant decor, superb service and lots of exact brunch plates on the menu. The owner is very nice, welcoming and helpful. He treated us to dessert at the end and offered to take us really nice pictures. The lady servicing the tables was very sweet she is really nice. Food was ok I didn't try the pies (heard they are great) but our overall experience was lovely

Kunefe. Tasty, but soggy and not crispy on top

The place looks great; lots of beautiful decor and little touches that make it feel really special. However, I wish the food and service were at that same level. The food is alright, but there are many places in Ottawa that are much better in both quality and quantity (we wanted to try out this joint, which is closer to home for us). The most disappointing part was the service. Not that people were rude, but more so the service was lacklustre and not attentive. We got plastic spoons to eat our meal, where sometimes forks were needed. We were brought two of our dishes made incorrectly (ex: we wanted meat, they gave us cheese). The server would come back and say "I wrote down cheese because you ordered cheese?" As if to confirm we were the ones making a mistake? It was uncomfortable. At the end, paying the bill was an unnecessarily long ordeal. They charged us for everything we originally ordered, but when looking at the bill we realized they didn't bring us our Fatteh. The server seemed confused since she wrote it down, and we had to pull up a picture we had taken of the table to prove we didn't get that dish (and it was $15!!). At this point it was super uncomfortable for all of us because I started to wonder if we looked like disgruntled young people who were trying to be cheap by not paying for what we ate?? It took ages to redo the bill (maybe they are unfamiliar with their POS system??). It was wrong for a second time, and then had to be redone again. The server helping us was new, and I'm surprised no manager or anyone from the back came out to help her out when she was struggling. She seemed pretty stressed and it would have been nice to have a manager step in to apologize for missing an item in our meal, etc. No one ever came to say anything. By the end of it, we were pretty ready to leave. I think it's unfortunate that the service is poor, since they clearly invested a lot in the decor and the food is alright, despite not being the best. I hope they improve their service so that patrons have a more enjoyable experience at their restaurant.

We loved the high ceiling and decor.

The absolute best cheese pies you can get in the area, cheap and amazing, all the other food is excellent as well.

The restaurant is cuter inside than I thought. There are some window seats for people-watching on bank st. There are also some hanging lights by the windows. The pizza crust has the perfect crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside texture. It's so good it doesn't even need any dip. I tried both the nerd pizza and the mushroom pizza. The nerd pizza had pickled onions, black pepper molasses bacon, cheese and chili Basil honey. I loved the tangy pickled onions, with the salty-sweet bacon, and the spicy honey. The combination was just perfection. I could use a little more chili though! The mushroom pizza was a white pizza with portobello mushrooms, parm, and truffle oil. The salty parm and the meaty portebello mushrooms were a good combo, but I didn't really taste any truffle oil. I felt like this pizza was good but missing a little something to take it to the next level. Overall, the food was delicious. The drinks are reasonably priced (beer, local kombucha). However, the service was mediocre. I think they only had one or two servers working the entire area on Friday night.

Ordered 2 of their rotating menu pizzas tonight and was not disappointed. I'm not the type to…read moredeviate from my usual order once I find something I like, but I'm glad I did. The pizzas were light, airy and packed a lot of flavour into each bite. Super full now and I regret nothing

I live really close by but for some reason have never tried Georgie's until recently. I got some…read moretakeout for my husband and I to share. I got a Hot Turkey sandwich platter $13.75 and a slice of Donair pizza $4. They sell pizzas by the slice, but they are not displayed so you have to ask them what kinds they have. The day I went, if I remember correctly, they had 4 types: Cheese, Pepperoni, Bacon and Donair. Slices are $4 each or $5 with a can of pop. 2 slices is $8 or $9 with a can of pop, so no discount if you buy more. However, they do have a pickup discount, which is the equivalent amount to the taxes you would pay. So essentially if you pick up, they pay the tax :) The Hot Turkey sandwich platter was really good. It came with fries and coleslaw. I liked that the coleslaw was vinegar based and not mayo based. It was mostly cabbage with a bit of carrot. I enjoyed it. The fries were just regular fries but they were crispy and good. The sandwich had real turkey breast meat in it (can you believe that I once ordered a hot turkey sandwich and it was a deli meat turkey sandwich covered in gravy?!? Obviously not at this restaurant, lol). The bread was the regular white sandwich bread, but what really set this sandwich apart was the delicious peppery gravy. Man, that stuff is really good! The pizza was good too. They put toppings under the cheese here, which is not my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The donair was thick pieces and tasted more like sausage, but it was still good. The sauce has a distinct flavour to it, which I can't pinpoint, but I liked it. The crust was crispy and even though the crust was thicker than I usually like, I still enjoyed it. I liked that the slice came in a cute cardboard box. The platter came in an aluminum container, but the lid was styrofoam. I'm not a fan of styrofoam, I would have preferred a foil-backed cardboard lid. Service was friendly and I got my food pretty quickly. The restaurant is a strip of businesses along Carling Ave just west of Churchill Ave N. There's free parking at the back of the strip. There's a sign and you have to turn in before you actually see the strip of businesses (Georgie's, Sapporo Sushi, and a few other businesses). If you turn into the parking lot after the strip, that one actually belongs to a different strip mall (the one with Markie's Smoked Meat and Mr. Sub). There are signs indicating you can only park there if you are going to a business in that strip mall. Not sure what enforcement is like, but why chance it if there's also free parking in the proper place, right? Since there's a huge median along this part of Carling Ave, you can only access the restaurant if you are driving westbound on Carling. Georgie's has its main entrance on Carling but there's also a back entrance from the parking lot.

Simply put...AWESOME PIZZA…read more I have ordered from here a few times and I'm embarrassed to say I neglected to review each time before now, I was typically so hungry I just jumped right in... alas I digress. I have had a few different types of pizzas here, in the end my favourite is the cheese. Yup, straight cheese. Seems basic, but the flavour is outstanding and the dough ball to keep the box from sticking to the cheese is a classically delicious touch. I really like the flavour combinations of the cheese with the sauce puts many other to shame. If you are in this end of the town, give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back for sure.
