It gets full quickly as there's limited seating but the hostess was helpful and got us a table as someone else was leaving. There are specials on the chalkboard at the front. We got the lamb souvlaki plate. The lamb was done medium as requested and was flavorful yet tender and juicy. The salad was large with a giant feta cheese chunk. The rice and potatoes were cooked well. 5/5. I also got an extra beef skewer which was also really delicious and moist. 5/5. The chicken pita was also delicious. Good flavor, great toppings and French fries inside the soft pita. 5/5. Price: Probably comparable pricing to other Greek restaurants downtown but worth the money we paid.

The decor is quite fun and intriguing, though I felt most of the tables were dirty the day I came. Plus it gets quite hectic in there all around including with the street traffic. I ordered the Lamb Shank with couscous (you can also get rice as the side). While the portion was great and the meat was very tender, the dish was not that flavorful. I think this is place is fine if you're just looking for a filling bite, but otherwise I would consider elsewhere.

The Short Version: Casual Moroccan restaurant in the Byward…read moreMarket Square building. Food is pre-made and on warming trays so service is quite quick. The Long Version: I believe I have eaten at La Casablanca before but it was many years ago before I was on Yelp. Most recently I got food from here through the Too Good to Go app. (It's an app to reduce food wastage. Restaurants sell leftover/day-old food at a discounted price on the app. The catch is it's a surprise bag so you don't know what you're going to get.) I was on my way home and was walking by the restaurant and noticed they had a surprise bag for sale on the Too Good to Go app for $9.99 and I decided to buy it. The man prepared my meal by scooping various items in the warming trays into a takeout box. I got some chicken skewers, rice, roasted potatoes, cabbage, and a vegetable stew (which consisted of carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, and broccoli). I seemed to get a few rogue chickpeas too, lol. The food was flavorful and I liked the seasonings on it. I also liked the variety and that I got to try a little bit of different items. I felt it was a satisfactory deal for $9.99. However on the app it did list that the value of the surprise bag was $29.99, which I don't feel is true, lol. For the $10 I paid, I'll rate it as 4 stars. I'd give it half that rating though had I paid $30 for a takeout box of food (mostly vegetables and rice) from warming trays, lol. The restaurant is inside the Byward Market Square building so it's kind of food court-like but each restaurant has its own seating. The vibe is very casual. The man serving me was courteous. A good place for quick casual Moroccan food. Review #233 (2025)

I like that you can specify meat doneness, since I like my lamb medium rare. The platter comes with rice, potatoes, Greek salad, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. I always order an additional tzatziki sauce and another pita bread because they're very good and make perfect leftovers for lunch the next day. Everything about the Lamb Souvlaki Platter is perfect in my opinion and I especially love their potatoes. They are always crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! They pack the included pita right on top of the souvlaki and potatoes in the same container and I love the flavour the pita absorbs from them. You need to try this platter if you haven't before. I keep taking out-of-town family here for Greek food because it's worth experiencing. Something also worth mentioning is that Cozmos has a good online ordering system that makes it super easy to order ahead and pick up at a specific time. I recommend ordering online to save the time you would otherwise spend waiting after ordering in person, as they are often pretty busy.

The food was worth the wait though!! We got the small platter which was for 2-3 people. It fed the two of us and we had some leftover to take home as well. The platter includes salad, hummus, garlic sauce, pita, raisin rice and three types of kababs. The rice was so delicious! I'm not sure what spices they used but it was so flavourful. All the meats were really well seasoned and cooked. There was not a single thing we tasted that wasn't good. The place is also really good for bigger groups as they have larger sharing plates as well. Will definitely be back to try more things!

The food came out fast, fresh, hot and in generous portions. I would like to add out of many similar restaurants, I liked the rice. It was cooked properly and well seasoned. I am only taking one star away because the customer service could have been better. Once our tea and food were served, the waiter did not come to ask how we were. My husband got the Saffron Seafood Ravioli ($31.95). Our friends got the Moussaka ($25.75) and Chicken Souvlaki. The Chicken Souvlaki plate was great. The chicken was moist, tender and flavourful. I appreciated that the skewer was already removed so I didn't have to fumble with it. The rice was soft and fluffy. The potatoes were well seasoned and tasty. They weren't mealy at all. The vegetables were nicely cooked. They consisted of bell peppers, broccoli, carrots and zucchini. The tzatziki was really thick. It was a bit stronger and funkier smelling than I'm used to though, lol. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal (minus the tzatziki) and was stuffed silly afterwards. My husband also really enjoyed his meal, but was still hungry afterwards since his dish consisted of only 5 ravioli. Each ravioli was about 2 bites, so he was done in 10 bites, lol. He said it was very tasty and he enjoyed the rich creamy sauce. In retrospect, I probably should have given my husband some of my meal, hehe. Our friends also enjoyed their meals. We sat on the patio and it was great, as it was covered and provided shade on a hot day. The tables are not too close to each other, which I appreciated. With the exception of when a car drove by with music blaring, I almost forgot that I was eating under a tent in the parking lot in front of the restaurant ;) Service was attentive without being intrusive. They do have a 2 hour dining limit, which we were advised of when we made our reservations. We left before our limit on our own, so they didn't have to enforce it with us, lol. Overall, a great place for Greek food. Lots of free parking in the strip mall parking lot.
