How have I not written a review for this yet?? I've been to Pinelopi's a number of times pre-pandemic for a fancier dinner and have ordered from them once or twice during the pandemic. I've been for date nights and family dinners, both dressed up a bit more and totally dressed down. There's no dress code and they really don't treat you any differently. Other than a bit of a longer wait for food and bills on really busy nights pre-pandemic (you always needed a reservation to get a guaranteed table), I've always had the best service. One of my favourites pre-pandemic was the saganaki, which I'm sure still tastes good for take-out or delivery, but part of the experience is the lighting the brandy on fire, especially with the dim mood lighting of the restaurant. I haven't been here since indoor dining opened again, but I'll look forward to having the saganaki again the next time I go, maybe with the Santorini chicken as my main and B-52. Yum! My husband and I felt like a nice dinner for delivery and we felt like Greek food that wasn't the fast food we normally get. Pinelopi's is one of my favourite spots for Greek food in the city and moussaka is my favourite Greek dish, so that's what I ordered. I don't see it on too many menus and figured it had to be good here. It's on the pricier side at $22.75, but it's what I'd expect for this kind of dish at this kind of place. Their version uses beef instead of lamb, both potatoes and eggplant and has crumbled feta on top. It was good, though I wished there was less tomato sauce, as it overpowered the other ingredients at times. Overall, it had good flavour and the portion, including the feta on top, was very generous. I do wish, though, that it came with a side, like small salad or something. We also split a Greek yogurt cheesecake. I saw that they had apple pie and caramel topping on Instagram but didn't see it on the app as an option, so I just wrote it in the notes and hoped they would oblige. SO glad they did! Really should've ordered two since it's a single portion, and it's so good that I could've easily eaten two portions on my own. The mini cheesecake had Skor bites on top, and the apple pie topping and caramel sauce came in separate containers so you could control how much you put on. (But you'll want eat all of it anyway!) The price was higher than I'd normally pay for the actual cheesecake portion, but there was just as much topping as there was cheesecake and it really made it worth it. It was delicious! Looking forward to trying the leg of lamb and maybe a pasta next time. I'd also love to try their sister company, Pinelopies, that serves different savoury phyllo pastry pies.

Have had takeout various times over the years. More recently tried some items from their sister company - Pinelopies. The recent posts on Instagram prompted a date night dinner this evening. Saffron seafood ravioli was amazing, and is now on the regular menu. I can only hope the same thing will happen to the veal chops special which I had. In a word, or two - HOLY CRAP! Staff made us feel welcome, and our orders were brought out quickly. Atmosphere was perfect, with tables spaced out to comply with the life that we've come to accept since the pandemic began. One of the downsides of living in the suburbs in the sea of big box retail eateries that litter the landscape. What's even sadder is that the locals seem to think that these are the only options when it comes to eating out. Pinelopi's is a breath of fresh air, and we intend to inhale it's sweetness more often in the very near future.

A fine night out with friends, and a delightful, home made ravioli, generously stuffed with delicious seafood. Washed down with a Greek beer, seated on the surprisingly quiet patio that's occupying a handful of parking spots in from of the restaurant, under a tent, all made for an enjoyable evening, and plans to go back to sample more items from their menu.

We were happy that we did decide to give this place a try, as it was everything that we had expected, and more! When we walked-in, we were greeted by a young man, that asked if we wanted take-out or dine-in. We chose dine-in however, the restaurant was quite busy at the time so, we had to be seated at a table near the front entrance. Upon sitting, we noticed the iPad that was on the table for ordering. We were also given paper menus to look at, which was easier. Once we had placed our orders, we waited only about ten minutes for our salads to arrive, along with the hummus and pita bread. The salads were absolutely amazing; the bowls were filled to the brim with cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, olives, and feta cheese. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty, and that dressing, WOW; it was delicious! It tied the salad in so well, it was the best salad we had ever tried at a Greek restaurant. The hummus was also delicious, with heated-up pita bread creating the finishing touches. This hummus was definitely homemade, and marvellous! We even asked for an additional pita, as the one we had wasn't enough for the four of us. This appetizer was definitely a great start! Once our main meals arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at how large the portions were. And the homemade sauce on top of the rice was wonderful; I don't know how they made the sauce, but it was perfect with the rice. The chicken was tender, with the tzatziki sauce not being needed often due to the tenderness. The potatoes were huge, and deliciously spiced. The meal was massive, and we couldn't finish it all; definitely worth what we had paid for! Throughout the entire meal, the server checked on us, bringing us water when we had asked, and making sure we were well taken care of. As we were leaving, the owner/chef asked where we were visiting from, and if we enjoyed the food. This place was hands-down the best Greek restaurant that we've ever been to; down to earth family-owned, amazing food, and great hospitality. Will definitely be back, and would recommend that you all try it as well; you won't be disappointed!

I like that you can specify meat doneness, since I like my lamb medium rare. The platter comes with rice, potatoes, Greek salad, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. I always order an additional tzatziki sauce and another pita bread because they're very good and make perfect leftovers for lunch the next day. Everything about the Lamb Souvlaki Platter is perfect in my opinion and I especially love their potatoes. They are always crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! They pack the included pita right on top of the souvlaki and potatoes in the same container and I love the flavour the pita absorbs from them. You need to try this platter if you haven't before. I keep taking out-of-town family here for Greek food because it's worth experiencing. Something also worth mentioning is that Cozmos has a good online ordering system that makes it super easy to order ahead and pick up at a specific time. I recommend ordering online to save the time you would otherwise spend waiting after ordering in person, as they are often pretty busy.

I personally wanted a drink as well but there was nothing that really spoke to me. We started with the greek fries that came with a nice portion of feta cheese on top. It was so good! We also got the pita and 3 dips to share, and if you want additional pita bread its free "refills", for the price of $28 I really hoped for the size of the dips to be alot larger than they were. It was fairly small portions for that cost. We got the tatziki, spicy dip and the eggplant dip, they all tasted really good and also came with a side of olives which was a nice touch however I'm not sure how but the olives were HORRIBLY salty. I usually love olives but I couldn't eat these. Crypiot halloumi was alsoo great and gave me a caprese vibe to the dish. Service was a little slow, we didn't see our waitress many times, and considering that it was a hot day I wish they had the a/c on. I think my friend and I finish 6 jugs of water that night . We ended with the most popular desert(can't recall the name) but it was the top seller, with phyllo dough, custard and whip cream...omg this was so creamy, rich and delicious. I'm usually not a big custard person but this was a pleasant surprise.

Each wrap can have 2 spreads, 1-2 proteins, 6 toppings, and 2 sauces. I opted for 1 protein (lamb meatballs) and not adding 6 toppings. They were pretty generous, and I don't know how I would have held it! For the spreads and proteins, I was proactively given a spiciness level out of 10. That was super helpful for choosing what I might like (4 out of 10 on the lamb meatballs was good for me). Checkout was quick and easy. I came back up after consuming my wrap and asked for the baklava cheesecake. It was in the fridge and accessible like the beverages. The cheesecake honestly wasn't as special as I had hoped, but it was still good. I decided to set up shop and work on my laptop for a while. There are two seating options: countertop and booths. It's a little cozy, but I could still choose where I wanted to sit. The booths and tables/counters are made of real wood, and the grain gives it a texture. The seat wasn't super comfortable, but it sufficed for the couple hours that I stayed.
