Before giving $250 did not know they judged you on past /current problems attempting to get away from alcohol for my pain, before treating me, I took urine test, which took almost 4 weeks to get back and giving notice that I tested positive for alcohol. Of course I did, that's why I needed them to help me with the treatment. Took second test, which took another 2 weeks for answer testing positive for alcohol at which time I was told another $250 was necessary for me to take another test. This is a great medical practice that helps me tremendously. The providers I have seen, Michelle and Adriana, are both compassionate about chronic pain. They do not accept insurance but it is well worth the fee for the care they provide. Another added bonus is monthly group sessions with Chad. He presents on a wide variety of topics and is so genuine and thorough each month taking time to answer questions. Phusion is leader in what they do. I made a difficult decision about leaving my previous doctors practice after being a patient for almost 6 years, and it's been the best decision I could have made. Grateful for mental health support along with the pain management. Truly makes a difference when your able to process what your feeling with chronic pain. I really have nothing bad to say about the place. With the exception of one mental health person. It seems to me if they want to help people with PTSD they should be able to recognise it and consider other health concerns instead of being judgemental and be "out to get a patient kicked out of the progam". It is also my opinion that anyone treating a chronic pain patient should know more than what a book teaches about pain. You can be seen if you have the right kind of pain. If your pain doesn't fall into their categories of pain then you are sol when it comes to being treated. They judge right from the start and their advertisement, which seems so kind and accepting, is pure bologna. Maybe it has been nice for all of those who have typical back and joint pain, but for others who have pain that isn't ordinary.... these guys don't care. It is absolutely disgusting. read more

The way they "check" to make sure patients aren't selling the medication or taking other medication is a joke. If they truly cared to help people they would be seen in office not virtually and require therapy to help the person get better rather than just cover up the pain. It is unfortunate that one must provide a star. I can think of far more appropriate ways to represent this "practice". They did not listen to me in our initial interview regarding anything. I was able to obtain my records from this debacle. The doctor recommended that I consider losing weight to alleviate pain. I am 122 lbs soaking wet. He obviously never looked at me as he prepared his canned office notes. I listed the medications that I am on and brought the bottles with me. The lab flagged these as "undeclared". And so on. Do not waste your time. These people are seriously incompetent. I am still receiving reminders for my nonexistent "follow up" appointments. I don't call to point this out as they do not answer the phones. Perhaps the Medical Board can get their attention. read more

Phusion only cares about money! I had to reschedule as a new patient, due to changes in my work schedule and illness. I followed protocol and gave sufficient notice. They solicited me to reschedule. Once I responded back, they attempted to collect a $50 deposit to reschedule. I've since secured services at a different clinic. I would suggest for anyone considering Phusion, stay clear of them. They don't even accept insurance for pain management and charge outrageous amounts. In my opinion, that's a borderline pill mill. read more

Scott is a really nice guy- very thorough and understanding. Michelle is excellent and very compassionate. Obviously there are laws and "rules" that the bureaucrats have imposed - but they will work with you within reason, to give you what meds you need to at least be able to function at a higher level than you were. My prior pain clinic forced me to taper 90% in 3 months---from a high level to a very low level. Welcome to 2019, the Trump administration and state governments wanting to cash in like they did with tobacco companies- but my point is that we are all different and have different needs. The other pain clinics pigeon hole you---trying to make everyone conform and take the same dose of meds. One reviewer said "watch out for the surprise drug screen"---anyone who has has been in a pain clinic or on any kind of pain meds, that is the reality of the situation. Another reviewer said "I can never talk to anyone and always have to leave a message- and can never get my drug test to load on my i phone"----so what. Yes, you leave a message, but contrary to the reviewer, they have ALWAYS called me back. ALWAYS. If you want to call and chat- this is probably not the place. You go once every 6 months, and then monthly you have a phone/skype type of appointment. They will call you randomly for pill counts and you have to go to a lab to do a drug screen- but as long as you pass them so what? I had to go to my old clinic once a month, so I have no problem doing an occasional drug screen. This reviewer said "I have to go for days because my meds are never filled when due"----whatever. I have never had a problem. Some people just seem to have all kinds of problems. The rest of us deal with situations and have very few. They dont take insurance- but if you are seriously in pain- you will gladly pay. If I dont have meds, I can barely walk or do much. With them, it still hurts but I can do much more than I can without them and can at least get around somewhat. In summary- you go once every 6 months. They will prescribe a little more than my old clinic, and I don't feel like a criminal or like I did something naughty. I resented the old clinic who even when I wanted to see the Dr was told, "he doesn't see patients". He is too busy on his throne I guess. Then they made me go thru that horrible taper, and was so petty about the limits of 200mg morphine equivalent. I was at 210 and the NP said "so I will give you 120 pills one month, and 118 next so it stays at 200. At that point I was done. When she knew many (dozens) of patients were transferring to phusion- and I told her i was going to- she said "it wont last"---well its lasting. Which proves my point that this whole 120 pills/118 pill thing was a power trip and not a necessity. THANK YOU SCOTT AND MICHELLE. You literally saved my life. read more

They do not have a phone number for patients to call. They require you to leave a voicemail, send an email or text and then wait for a response! If you are lucky they reply the same day. i am still waiting on a call from the Clinical Director Michele for the last three weeks. The staff is an absolute nightmare to deal with! My appointments were always with Greg and he was great to deal with. Unfortunately, the bad far outweighs the good. read more

Phusion Wellness is the best pain management facility I've been to dine I moved her 12 yrs ago. I've had chronic pain since my first spinal fusion in 2002. I've seen a Dr who wouldn't give you your medication unless you did 3 steroid injections every 6 months, whether they worked or not. He used to stack patients in his waiting room like cordwood. Found out the steroids cost him something like $.30 and he can charge Medicare $3000. I've also seen Drs who, even after YEARS of complete compliance, one mistake and you're done! There's no State or Federal law that says they have to do that, I've got a feeling it's the insurance companies. Phusion Wellness may be a bit pricey, but it's worth it to feel like I finally have a medical team who cares!! read more

My 1st visit I almost cried, Dr. Scott actually looked at my medical records, and treated me as a "HUMAN BEING". They are compassionate, knowledgable, and understand "CHRONIC PAIN" is a very real issue. I was so overwhelmed by the "kindness", and "compassion" he gave me. Dr Scott took almost 2 hours w/me, my 1st visit. The tele med visits are nice, it took me a minute to get accustomed to them. Dr. Michelle is GREAT. She has extra patience w/me, as I'm not computer smart. The staff is awesome, calling you back quickly. They have given me my "QUALITY OF LIFE" back. They genuinely care, I was at my wits end, so THANKFUL I MADE THAT INITIAL CALL!! If your having problems, I recommend picking up the phone. The "insanity" stops. I have been a patient of Greg and Glenn for a year now. I came to the practice when I lost my pain specialist of 11 yrs due to the CDC fiasco. I was discharged for noncompliance by the practice for a few reasons one being Dr shopping! They're the ones who made the appointments with the various providers of the practice. I came to Phushionwellness nervous, guarded and suspicious of the providers due to my previous experience. I was pleasantly surprised with my first appointment with Greg even when we hit a rocky point due to my leaving out a very important detail (I thought I had included in our first appointment) I was given a choice of taking suboxone for a time then go back in opiods or being discharged. Even during that visit I was treated very well. The suboxone worked so well but I couldn't tolerate it. I asked for something similar. I now take buprenorphine for my SFPN. I has changed my life. I no longer have the 24/7 excruciating pain in my limbs nor am I on 5 scripts related to the pain. My pain is now at a constant 5/6 I can function with that level. I often wonder why I was never offered the buprenorphine instead of the oxycontin, fentanyl, oxycodone, muscle relaxers which were increased to levels you wouldn't believe. I also see Glenn Banks a behavioral therapist due to my noncompliance. I took this as a slight as though I was a drug seeker. Remember I was scarred by previous providers who practiced extortion. They will prescribe your pain meds as long as you play Russian roulette with dangerous epidurals. No other practice had ever mentioned seeing a therapist even though we know the toll that chronic pain plays on the psyche. Yes, they don't take insurance but, you're not treated as a number. You're treat as a whole person body, mind and spirit. I feel between Greg and Glenn I am seen and heard as individual then in turn my pain is being treated as to how it affects me not treating my diagnosis. Give the practice a few appointments all parties involved have had to change. Patients no longer trust physicians and physicians are no longer allowed to practice as they see fit. The CDC, FDA DEA and others have tied physicians hands when it comes to treating with opioids. Physicians are losing their licenses to practice or prescribe or both. I feel that the government has no business meddling in how physicians practice. Not all pain specialist's are pill shops just like all patients aren't overdosing on opiods. You can never talk to anyone on the phone. You always have to leave a message and even then they don't get back to you. I was so hoping when they were bought out, things would change for the better. NOT!!! And I can never get my drug test video through on my iPhone. . However, Michelle is always nice and accommodating! I'm thinking of finding a new clinic. It's hard for me to drive because of my back and I live in Peoria but I'm friggin frustrated. They also take days to refill my meds even though I'm due. I am giving this business a 4 star because I never give 5. That said, if I could, I would give them a 4/12. This practitioner listens to the patient about pain. When you have gone through several spine surgeries and the surgeon keeps saying, "I am sorry you are uncomfortable, why don't we take out another disc?" You have had it. The surgeons are causing more pain than the original pain. Epain believes the patient; however, you have to jump through a lot of hoops. Get your medical records, hospital records, mri, to support your history of pain. Have a patient advocate, your spouse, support you and help you be prudent with your medicine, and be prepared for your surprise drug test. If you are honest and in real pain, this practitioner will help you. Most of all you feel believed. read more

This guy had glowing reviews and I was referred by my friends to him.The highlight of his web sight is opioid therapy. Well It didn't work out. He won't treat you with pain meds unless you have some strong imaging to back it up. So if you have CPS or fibromyalgia or some sort of central nervous system disorder he won't prescribe much pain meds to cover your severe pain. Also, he sent in a script for oxycodone for me when I was with another provider!! I wasn't even his patient at all and he totally ruined it with my pain management provider! She thought I was trying to pull a fast one on her and was a doctor shopper. Good going EPAIN! read more
