I came here today with my boyfriend and friend, and I was initially really excited to try the food. Seafood combination pho and calamari? Not the typical items you find at a Vietnamese restaurant! My excitement soon faded however after the guy at the front counter messed up my order. It wouldn't have even been that bad if they had gotten it correct the second time after I told them what I had actually ordered, but either they didn't understand, or the kitchen staff didn't care to fix the order the right way. I ordered combination fried rice, which I mean, how difficult is it to get this right at an Asian restaurant, probably one of the most common orders?? Apparently very hard for them! I was brought a white rice dish with beef, chicken, and pork on the side (the meats I wanted in the fried rice), and when I told them that I had actually ordered combination fried rice, they brought it back to the kitchen, and a few minutes later, they brought the same plate back out, but instead of a scoop of white rice on the side, they had a scoop of fried rice (with no meats or vegetables in it, the common fried rice that's part of a side dish, not main dish), along with the same meats on the side. If any of you guys have had fried rice before (which I will assume yes since most people have), the ingredients are all mixed together, and there are other vegetables mixed in there in the cooking process as well, not everything separate with ingredients missing. This was just plain LAZY. Instead of sending it back again though and risking having my food possibly spit in, I went ahead and just ate it. It was actually really good, it just wasn't what I ordered. If the guy at the front had actually listened to the order instead of being distracted playing with his phone, they probably would have gotten it right. So the 3 star rating is: 1.5 stars for service 4-4.5 stars for food If you come here, try ordering by menu number (for instance, C3 or P4) instead of the name of the food and maybe the guy at the front will get it right! read more

Damned good pork sammich and grilled pork rice plate. You get a good portion of meats. The place looks very modern and has a limited menu but thats a good thing! Pho, meats with rice or vermicelli, sammiches, egg rolls... I will be coming here more often. read more

Extremely rude staff, first off. This was my first and last time in this location. Customer service is so poor, starting of with the employee upfront who took my order. He was talking to me with an attitude for no reason, seemed like he didn't want to be there. After I got my to go order I asked if there was hot sauce, he looked at me crazy as if I had asked for something else. I was looking forward to my meal, but they spoiled it for me. I was excited by the idea of PhoXpress and its proximity to Grapevine Mills, but this disappoints. The "fast casual" concept is great in theory, but service was slow and we had to wait awhile for our food. Noodles were soggy, and the broth wasn't flavorful and had a ton of grease. Sriracha makes everything palatable, but you can get cheaper and much better pho elsewhere (I like Pho Legacy). read more

Everyone should know about this place. Food of course is amazing but the staff is even better. My friend and I went for dinner for their birthday, as usual we argued on who would pay. The gentleman who took our order, who I assume is the owner/manager, took care of our meal. I'm going to start with the negative because I'm a vegetarian and they had very little for folks that don't eat meat. That said, what they had was good. I had the vegetarian Pho and vegetarian spring rolls and both were delicious! Each table is outfitted with all the condiments you could want. Food was fresh, tasty and the place is nice and clean. We moved to this area from Arlington, TX where there are plenty of good - authentic Vietnamese restaurants. We have tried several restaurants in the area, but they were not what were expecting (i.e. good). Today we tried Pho Express and we were so thrilled! Yes it is clean an "pretty", but the food was really GREAT. The Pho was really good...and the egg rolls...and the Bun and the Nuc Mum (Fish sauce)! I will probably not be coming back here anytime soon for a meal. Pho had way too much jasmine it was practically inedible. I like that you can basically customize your meal to your preference but they don't give you very much of whatever "meat" you choose. My boyfriend chose to get the chicken fried rice with shrimp added to it. Of course they charged him extra for it and he only got three for a couple extra bucks. Our meal came out to being about $25 for some bad pho and overpriced fried rice that had to be doused in siracha to choke down. At least they had some good mints on the way out. Might come back to try their boba tea but other than that no thanks. read more

PhoXpress is close to home, and they have decent pho, so it's nice. They have generous portions for the prices. The reason for the 3 stars is the quality of meat. They can really skimp on the filet, and then last night we got the flank for the first time, and the meat was fully cooked. And chewy. It was a bummer! My husband and I love to eat pho, this is our second favorite pho place to eat at because it's not super expensive and it tastes good. Now, today is the exception. We showed up around 7:30pm and it was dead, no one inside. I ordered the chicken pho curry, my husband ordered the chicken fried rice, I specifically asked the lady behind the register, IS THIS SPICY BECAUSE IM SHARING IT WITH MY 9 MONTH OLD BABY... she said "oh no it's not spicy at all!" So I also ordered an extra side of noodles for the baby. I get it and can barely eat it myself. Now before anyone says "curry is spicy hello!" I eat Thai food and Indian food with curry all the time, no it's not meant to be spicy... I barely was able to finish my pho and chicken, my husband shared his chicken fried rice with the baby... husband said chicken tasted super dry like it was sitting out all day... in the end we left a full bowl of noodles (they sprinkled curry in the side of noodles..?) my husband had to get up and order another side of plain noodles and then it was just disappointing at that point... they gave us dry noodles no broth for the baby... and he specifically said "yeah he can't eat the noodles with the curry in it" they still charged him for them... we left 2 bowls of noodles on the table, and my husband didn't eat any of the chicken from the fried rice. Probably won't be back after this incident. read more

Great customer service and decently good food so why the bad rating? Lets start off with their pho, they have three sizes...small medium large. Their large is a regular size and their medium is a kids size so imagine the size of the small. The large is $10, medium a $8, and small is $5! They inflate the price because they can since its the only one close to grapevine mills. Lets just say I stopped going there when I found out their rice plates are $15 when others charge only $8. This place feels like it could be a good restaurant. One of the other reviewers mentioned it was "Americanized", and I agree with that vibe. That's not a bad thing, but if you eat at an Asian owned restaurant you can tell that it's much different than this. I was telling my wife this feels like maybe it had a Vietnamese investor (or dad) and maybe the American son was running the place. Again, not a big deal, but I'll try to explain what I mean. You walk in and the first thing you see are these big glowing signs. You go to any other authentic Asian place and the menus are probably handwritten on a chalk board. Well, the big shiny TV menus are like bright lights on a bug zapper. Everyone is drawn to them and stares at them before they realize they have to order way at the other end of the store. Ok, not a big deal, but it's rather annoying. Plus, I have to walk 20 feet just to get an idea of the menu, and hope I remember what I want when I'm 20 feet away from the menu sign. Speaking of menu, prices are a bit high for Pho. You want great prices with a lot of food, go to V-Bistro, or virtually every other Pho place in town. $5 for a fried pork sandwich? $4 for 2 fried egg rolls? Yea, that's Americanized alright. If you go to V-Bistro, you'll notice they give you tons of meat in the pho soup. This place put like 3 pieces of meat on top of probably 5 lbs of noodles. My wife had already finished her dinner, went to the restroom, and came back while I was still slurping on broth and noodles. I said "well the good thing is they give you a lot of noodles" and my wife says "yeah, because noodles are cheap". Hm, good point. I'm sorry, I feel like this place really has potential, especially since it provides a more modern and family friendly atmosphere than most authentic Asian owned restaurants, but whoever the brains is behind this place just doesn't have what it takes to make it in the restaurant world. You wasted money on big screen tv's to tell you what the menu is. I'd say take one of those TVs, put some news or sports on it, and sell the other 3 TVs so you can lower the prices on your menu. $7.50 for your "big" bowl of pho when I can get a much bigger bowl, for cheaper and with more meat, from V-Bistro? Sorry. Not unless I'm stuck in Grapevine and my wife wants to go again. read more

I LOVE this place. The service is great, the food is amazing, and the restaurant is clean and inviting. When you dine-in your food is brought out to you by their friendly and always smiling staff.
