Not snobby just like what I like. The service staff has always been friendly and pleasant. Bartender is a doll and you can tell the back of the house works very hard to make your experience worth it! I haven't been to a restaurant multiple times and not experienced a problem. I've been here many times now and yes had a problem. That being said they fixed it immediately to my satisfaction and like every meal I've had so far thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Foot quality is top notch especially for an area that struggles with a meat and potato crowd. I've had half the menu by now and have found a dish I don't like but not because it was bad, I'm just not into it... and that's ok. I can't recommend them enough, good food and cocktails, weak on wine but that's not their jam, nor is it anyone else's in GP. You want a wine menu head to Springfield or Portland. Or my favorites Las Vegas or Phoenix AZ.

We recently went for brunch and it was satisfying in every way--great food, great service, and unbelievably... no wait list. That alone felt like a win! The owners are actively involved in running the restaurant and are genuinely engaged with their patrons, which you can really feel. It adds such a welcoming, personal touch. Their cocktails are some of the best in town, and I love that they offer daily specials so there's always something new to try. It's not your typical "meat and potatoes" kind of place, which is refreshing--but if you're craving something hearty, they do have steak frites that absolutely hits the spot. Also--best Caesar salad in the area. Hands down. Hahaha, can you tell I love this place? Highly recommend!

Kahlo is the kind of place where you order something you haven't had before -- something a bit out of your comfort zone. It'll be delicious. Aguachile? Try it. Tuna "carnitas"? Great for a group. Although do ask about spice levels if you're pepper-sensitive. The servings are very large, so the prices a Kahlo are more modest than they seem. Think sharing so that you can try more stuff. This can be a restaurant for a group spluge, but it can also be a great night out for two. My favorite was the soft-shell crab tacos, a bit of Mexican-American crossover I've never seen before. They were delicious, super-crispy and well sauced with guac and salsa macha. But everything was great. Cocktails are really good too, particularly the mezcal ones. (BTW, this is the 2nd incarnation of Kahlo under new owners and much better cooks. Ignore any reviews before December 2025)

The atmosphere is deeply Mexican, beautifully decorated with paintings of Frida Kahlo, and the background of romantic music by José José creates an exceptionally cozy setting. What truly crowns the experience is the service. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, always checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The food and cocktails match the wonderful ambiance. They make delicious drinks, and the dishes are exquisite: I ordered a burger cooked to a medium temperature and it was perfect, served with French fries and a great house sauce, and I also tried some tacos that were spot on. A wonderful restaurant with incredible flavors and exceptional warmth. Highly recommended!

I made that assumption because it's on the grounds of the Centennial Golf Club, but learned this morning that it is open to the public, so here's the review. The restaurant is attached to the pro shop and bar in an attractive, commanding building overlooking the valley. There's an indoor dining area, but the place I like best is the covered patio overlooking the golf course w/ the mountains in the background. They serve breakfast, lunch and snacks and are probably open until about 4:00PM. The menu is varied, from oatmeal to omelets to hamburgers and hot dogs. Eggs Benedict are not on the menu but that's what we had this morning at our friends' special request and they were great, w/ a well balanced Hollandaise. I can't promise they'll make 'em for you, but it can't hurt to ask. The chef knows his way around the kitchen. He also makes what I understand is killer salsa, if that's something that interests you. This morning's (and there are different ones each day) was reported to be spicy and good. We'll be back.
