So no matterer what I do, I see dozens of his older iPhones and Galaxy phones. Then when I bring it up... They harasses me. I will NEVER do business with someone like that. read more

PhoneWorld Tropicana - Conversation - Mobile Phones Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

I was shopping the market for a laptop for myself so I initially turned to OFFER UP in search of options but decided that a store would offer better protection in regards to any issue I may or may not have with it and that would not be available if my purchase was made on offer up. I found a Mac laptop that peaked my interest that was for sale at a resale store called Phone World located on Sahara and Decatur in Las Vegas NV, when I got there I took a look at it and he plugged it in because it was dead sitting out on the shelf (which should've been a red flag to begin with) and briefly showed me that it does turn on and allowed me to take a quick look, and then he offered me $100 off because of "Black Friday". I continued to ask questions, one of which was regarding the return/exchange program that they offer. He told me if for some reason, any reason I was not happy with my purchase then I could bring it back on the 7-day guaranteed warranty . After getting it home, I quickly realized that the charger port was very sketchy, the charger itself had to be carefully put in and held in place in order for the laptop to register that it was being charged. I did set it up to charge over night but again within an hour or two of being disconnected the battery life diminished extremely quickly. Also while using the browser, I would type In Google.com for a quick search engine and it would repeatedly redirect me to some random search engine (finder.net) and it was taking 3x the amount of time it should've to load any and all pages. So this morning I immediately got it together with my receipt that clearly states that i have 7 days to return or exchange it for any reason and that the item wAs subject to a 20% "restocking fee" upon the sales associates discretion. I figured because my concerns were legitimate and I was bringing it back less than 24 hours after purchasing it that there would be no reason to attach such an astronomical "restocking fee". He , of course plugged it in for two seconds with the same charger that he used the previous day and told me that my charging concerns were illegitimate and that I could leave the computer there for some other guy in the back to take a look at it and if he felt lliie there were no issues THEN he would consider exchanging it for store credit. Even though in hand I had my physical receipt from my original purchase, Made less than 24 hours earlier and it clearly stated their 7 day guaranteed warranty. I presented my concerns and his standard answer was "I am going to have to follow the right steps before I can exchange or return anything," I mentioned that his policy on the receipt stated that if for ANY REASON I was not satisfied with my purchase I could return or exchange it within a seven day grace period. It does state that they could attempt to fix the problems if I want it but I was just not comfortable with the computer and I didn't feel like they would be honest with me either way. I felt like regardless of whatever they found in the back they would bring it back to me and tell me that it was fine so I told him I didn't feel comfortable with the purchase and regardless of what they decided to tell me they found or did not find that I would still like a refund. After going back and forth with him he finally agreed to return it to me and that under HIS discretion he would be charging me a 20% restocking fee of $180. I hadn't even have it in my possession for less then 24 hours, I had my original receipt and presented legitimate concerns so I didn't understand and was completely disappointed in there lack of quality customer service. Why should he get to keep $180 of mine after selling me a faulty product and then attempting to refuse me the warranty he offered me. I didn't use it at all, it's not like I kept it for 6 days and was attempting to return it after using it. Clearly stated on the receipt was that the 20% "restocking" fee, complete bullshit, was at the discretion of the sales associate depending upon the specifics of any one case. I am not sure what else I needed to do to not have to pay them for selling me a faulty electronic. In the end I ended up paying $180 to take a laptop home overnight, completely making the reason I chose to go with a small local business rather then an app totally pointless. I was shocked and disappointed with such poor customer service and their need to take whatever they possibly could from me. When I requested to speak with a manager, of course Alex, insisted that he was the only manager. I would not recommend or send anyone, including a complete stranger, to this store for any kind of purchase. I feel as if I should've gone to a more prevalent, reputable business that would be honest and fair to me. This store gets a huge thumbs down from me and I plan to make it known all over because I would hate to see anyone that's in a Similar situation as mine get used and taken advantage of the way I was. read more

Great experience. I took my daughter in there to buy a phone and it was quick and easy ,on top of it they hooked her up with a phone case and a screen protector for free . It's a good feeling knowing when buying a used phone they warranty it and 100% will work with your carrier. Buying off the streets is a big risk and can get ripped off. I say go where you know it's safe ! Good quality phones here . read more

Do not go here to sell a phone they rip you off.. tried to tell me is cost a lot to fix a screen on a note 9 and would only give me 200- this place is a joke read more

Just got an S5 at a discount and they threw in a free case and pop socket! These guys rock!

I'm going here because I heard a great deal of positive things about this particular store

Went to buy an Apple Watch series 5 44mm. They first gave me an off brand Apple Watch charger, I got home to charge my watch and it took 6 hours to get to 90% and it overheated my watch. I contact the store and let them know what's going on and they told me to bring in the Watch the next day. I go to the store just for them to tell me to bring the charger the next day. So I go the next day with the charger and they have me a new one, different than the last one, still off brand. They told me they should solve my problems. It didn't even charge my watch. Still waiting to see what they'll do next. Going into the store again today. read more

Wouldn't recommend this place to one person, absolute joke of a business.. I originally went in to get a Galaxy 8 unlocked.. When I first contacted them about the Galaxy, the guy told me it would take up to 2 hours, depending on what they were working on before. So I go down to the store which is about 30 minutes from where I live.. I talk to the guy who answered me when I contacted them for a minute while he looks at the phone and gives me a price. I end up seeing this tiny phone (Verizon Palm) and ask him about it. He tells me about it, including it having a battery life span of 8 hours. So I end up purchasing this phone along with him still unlocking this Galaxy 8. He tells me to come back in 3 hours and the phone will be ready. I ask him if he could also leave my new phone on the charger so it will be full when i pick it up along with my Galaxy. No problem. I then kill 3 hours since I live about a half hour away. I show up to pick my phone up and was informed they didn't have the right equipment and ask if I can come back in a few days. That's not cool but what can you do, things happen. I take my "new" phone from them and go home. It was a little later in the afternoon so I was going to get my new phone activated the next morning.. I wake up the next morning, mind you about 16 hours later, and the phone is completely dead. I plug it in and it turns on. The battery is at 1 percent. Obviously this battery is shot.. I then show back up to the store to pick the Galaxy up and try to return it. The guy informs me that hes had the phone plugged at the store before and the battery lasted 3 days. Yeah, I am not buying that. He then informs me they charge 20% restocking fee for this phone. So for them selling me a broken phone, I have to pay 20%.... That was my 2nd phone getting fixed by them. Hope 20% was worth my business. read more

That 20% deductible policy if you return the phone is complete bullshit and complete scam. PERIOD.
