She made fast friends and has enjoyed learning so much. With a smaller class size, she works in small groups at times, as well as individually with her teachers. This allows her teachers to be very in tune with her and her studies and pace her learning accordingly. She has grown in her confidence, social skills, and knowledge and is without a doubt ready for kindergarten in the fall. Although it's bittersweet because of how great our experience has been at Forest Drive Montessori, we would 100% recommend this preschool to anyone interested.

This school does not protect its students against bullying and harassment. They have a so-called…read more"behavior policy" in their handbook that they do not enforce. They tolerate verbal and physical abuse to no end. Nothing is done beyond phone calls, injury reports, and conversations. Emails are not replied to so that they won't be liable for any wrongdoing. The teacher directed us to the Program Support Specialist, who then directed us to the Director. No one provided us any support. We then contacted the Superintendent's office and heard back from the Executive Director of Operations. Our meeting with him was bizarre, to say the least, as he was extremely defensive. He told us that he could conduct an investigation that would take several weeks. It was obvious that he wanted to drag things out as long as possible as the school year was soon coming to an end. We told him we did not feel comfortable with him conducting the investigation himself and preferred someone impartial, which he agreed to at the time. He lied. We later had another meeting with him where he was trying to convince us that the punches our children received might have been "pushes", despite it explicitly stating "punches" more than once in the hand written report from the teacher herself, and a photo we sent from a subsequent injury. He made it known that he was attempting to disprove us. In the end, the Executive Director of Operations provided baseless statements and negated our complaints and the original, documented facts from the school. The teacher conveniently and suspiciously changed the narrative for their benefit. Everyone involved in his corrupt, coerced "investigation", is guilty of gaslighting and victim shaming/blaming. The obvious explanation (aside from deflecting for legal reasons) is that the aggressor's mother, also works at the school and is their colleague. The Issaquah school district condones harassment and bullying. They are only interested in protecting themselves; not their students.

I really wanted to feel like the cost of this preschool was reflected in the overall experience,…read morebut unfortunately I didn't. There are caring teachers here who genuinely want the best for the children, but there seemed to be a noticeable disconnect between teachers and leadership. Staff turnover was concerning, and at times the environment felt very rigid and top-down. It was also difficult to see visible investment in the building itself without seeing that same level of investment reflected in teacher support, classroom materials, food, or the children's daily experience. For the tuition families pay, I expected healthier and more varied meals, more regularly refreshed classroom materials, warmer and more engaging classroom spaces, and better outdoor opportunities. I also expected more from a school that presents itself as Christian. To me, those values should be reflected not only in the curriculum, but in how teachers are treated, supported, and valued. At times, the focus seemed much more centered on the business and financial side of the center than on building a strong, supportive early learning community. There are good educators here. I just wish the program invested more in the people, resources, and experiences that directly impact the children

During our school tour, the Director Ms. Deepika told us that Stellar is not only committed to educating children academically, but more importantly, to inspiring their passion and curiosity for learning and encouraging them to explore. We deeply resonate with this philosophy, and it was one of the main reasons we decided to join Stellar right away. I've already recommended Stellar to many of my friends and family, here's why: 1. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and responsible. Since my son joined Stellar, we've been pleasantly surprised by his daily growth and progress, not only in knowledge, but also in emotional development, self-regulation, and discipline. He has learned to be patient and take turns, to share with others, and to use gentle hands. He throws fewer tantrums, has become kinder, and even helps clean up his own toys. 2. My kid is also noticeably more cheerful and expressive. His vocabulary has grown rapidly, and he can now engage in full conversations and communicate clearly. He can count, and every day at school he participates in crafts and art activities. At home, he continues to want to read, sing, and draw, these are all things that Stellar has helped nurture in him. 3. When I mentioned to the teachers that my child was a picky eater, they patiently encouraged and supported him during lunchtime to ensure he got the nutrition he needed. Over time, he began finishing most of his lunch and reached a healthy weight. The teachers always take parents' concerns seriously and do their best to support both the child and the family, which I truly appreciate. 4. External Environment: The school is located near major transportation hubs, yet nestled within a quiet residential neighborhood. It's peaceful, convenient, and has easy parking. 5. Campus Environment: The classrooms and various facilities are very clean. The entire campus gives me a strong sense of cleanliness, safety, comfort, and simplicity, exactly the kind of warm and welcoming atmosphere I look for in a daycare.
