Music and dance classes and lots of art activities.The children learning spanish, mandarin, and topics around other cultures. The teachers are also great about sharing many photos over the day with their app. This is so nice because I always miss my little one when I am at work and get to see what he is doing in the pictures. The teachers at this school are amazing. Our daughter has attended since she was 1 and we have loved seeing the warmth and knowledge shared by her teachers and the relationships she has built with them. However, I would not recommend attending WorldKids unless you have significant time, energy, and finances to devote to billing issues. We have had long term, significant issues with overbilling that are not unique to our family and that have been extremely difficult to resolve with admin. read more

We have had such a wonderful experience with WorldKids in Everett, and feel incredibly grateful to have found it. The bilingual Mandarin-Spanish environment is truly special, and it's amazing to see how thoughtfully language exposure is woven into the children's daily routines, even from such a young age. Our infant absolutely adores their classroom, and we credit so much of that happiness to the incredible teachers, Ms. Sandoval, and Ms. Wang. Both bring so much warmth, patience, and care every single day. The classroom is clean, safe, and nurturing, and the activities are engaging and developmentally appropriate. My kid has been at Worldkids Sodo for about 2 years now. We were very happy with the school until a new director came in, and now it is making everything hard. We completely understand the need to follow policies and protocol, but we have to make additional calls, and they don't even answer the phone. They require a document, which is understandable and when I called, they promised to send the document we needed via email to fill out, and we ended up never receiving them. All this has been happening since the new director took over. If it does not get better in the next few weeks, we will be transferring our kid to another daycare. read more

Our son has been attending WorldKids Admiral for the last 3 years, and our experience has been great! The teachers (Yineth, Maria, Jessica and Itzel) have been wonderful, showing great attention and care to the development of our son. Awesome experience at world kids school with a 3 yr old. We were initially drawn to the Mandarin immersion part of the program and was a bit skeptical about if 50/50 Spanish/Mandarin immersion would be too overwhelming, but the kiddos absolutely are thriving in the immersion program learning so much new words and cultures very quickly and actually enjoying all the language learning as well as all the other activities the teachers do for the kids. The school also organizes some wonderful enrichment activities for the kids like gymnastics, soccer, music and animal encounters. We spent 1 year here very happy until my son started getting attacked and care givers were not protecting him as he got older because he is a boy. Parents listen to your children and protect them because I should have changed schools on the first incident. As a new parent, I blame myself everyday for trusting caregivers that did not have the same goal for my child. If your child is inherently unable to defend themselves this if not the school for you. Kids assault kids ... teachers allow it and do not help parents protect their child. read more

Every childcare has its pros and cons but compared to the other two childcares my children attended previously, this has been overall the most positive experience for our family. My kids first attended the Georgetown location. The staff and teachers at that location were responsive, kind, and very friendly. My daughter's teacher treated her like she was her own child and that made me feel so much at ease sending her to school everyday. My son's teachers also went above and beyond and threw him a farewell celebration, sending him off with a huge collage filled with pictures of his friends and teachers. When we moved up north, I was thankful that there was a Worldkids branch in Edmonds. This location has only one class and it feels more like a community than a school. I love the interactions that all the teachers have with my kids and how caring they are. My kids have learned so much in Spanish and Mandarin and they enjoy singing simple songs in both languages. Wonderful teachers. Not Good for Older Preschoolers. Our daughter went to WorldKids Georgetown/SODO for 3 years, starting in the toddler room at 12 months. PROS - The teachers are absolutely wonderful - Only 15 days of closure (holidays and 2 teacher in-service days) per year - Very flexible hours - The facility is great and they provide all food - We made the best friends with families in the PK class **(note that the school doesn't set this up to be the case - there are no built-in social events or activities - you have to find out about the facebook group WorldKids SODO Parents and ask to be added to the chat for your class - this is entirely run by parents and the school never tells families about this). NEUTRAL - It used to be one of the less expensive options, but now it's basically market rate. And the way they did the huge price increase was not well received. - Spanish Immersion - it's cool, and my daughter can count much higher in Spanish than she can in English, but you have to reinforce it at home for it to stick. CONS - PK classes are for ages 29 months until they go to kindergarten. - PK classes have a mandatory 2-hour nap time. The kids stay on cots with lullabies blaring even if they are not sleeping. - The administration has turned over multiple times and the latest group has been our least favorite. Talk to the director in person, don't email her. - Communication with families needs a lot of work - Kids get sick a lot. I don't think this is unique to this center, but it's a large school, so there are a lot of germs to be exposed to. The gist of this is that we mostly loved our time here from age 1 - 3. But as she got older our daughter was going to bed at 11:30 pm most days or could be up in the middle of the night for hours. 4-6 year olds do not need a nap. And because she has a September birthday, we couldn't imagine her being a 5-year-old for an entire year in a class with little toddlers as young as 29 months. If this school had age-appropriate classes, it would be a much better option for families to grow with. read more

We have two kids in the older classroom at the Fremont location. We have absolutely LOVED our time here. Pros: very few closures amazing teachers curriculum is great - kids are constantly learning new concepts (my 4 year old says things from their lessons about the Great Barrier Reef, butterflies and chrysalis, etc) cost is fair great hours We came from another school close by where there was a ton of teacher turnover, a chaotic classroom, lots of behavioral issues. That school also had so many closures, was more expensive and opened later, closed earlier. It was also a language immersion class, but my kids have learned far more at World Kids, My kids behavior has improved drastically since being here. The teachers seem to really love their jobs and the kids. The facility is great and I love all the outdoor time in their play space! Our experience here has been so so much better. Our toddler has been going to World Kids Fremont since spring, and she loves it! We like that it's Spanish and Mandarin immersion - she learned to count to 10 in Chinese within 6 weeks! - and also that the curriculum is play based, the kids get to hang out outside for a couple hours a day. I have a 1.5 year old at Fremont Worldkids. He transitioned from another daycare and is loving the experience. The closed off play are is amazing and they get to spend lot of time outside. WorldKids Upper Fauntleroy has been an incredible school for our twin daughters. They have both grown and flourished under the excellent care and learning environment at this school. Perla, the school Director, is incredible kind, communicative, professional, detail oriented, and bring a joy to everyone (parents and kids alike). We feel so fortunate to attend WorldKids and cannot stress how positive of an impact this is having on our kids. My daughter has been attending WorldKids Burien twice a week for 8 months now! She's in one of the toddler rooms. We couldn't be happier with the progress she's made socially, academically, and linguistically. She can count to 30 in Spanish, say multiple words consistently, and I catch her randomly singing Spanish songs at home. Her teachers are SO wonderful and I know they genuinely care about my child. We initially chose World Kids because of the part time schedule and the Spanish immersion; however, what was evident from our first tour is that it is the warmth of the teachers that makes it special. Things I particularly appreciate outside of the warmth and caring of the teachers: -You can drop off and pick up your child anytime within the 12 hour day -The availability of a part time schedule - at least at the Burien location -Spanish immersion - Meals provided - Additional activities from outside providers like dance and music -Photos sent throughout the day - The willingness to listen and change when a concern is brought up One note about the curriculum: The curriculum is impressive and age appropriate. It is, however, fairly academic in terms of the kids being taught something and then completing certain project. If you are looking for all day free play or child led play all day, this isn't the spot. They DO have free play and outdoor play, but not all day. Highly recommend World Kids!! read more

This is our first time sending our toddler to childcare and the experience has been very positive so far. Our two year old had a tough time in the beginning, but the school and the teachers have been great at helping him get adjusted to being away from home. He loves his teachers - Deysi, Elisa, and Annie - and all the activities he gets to do at school! Highly recommend WorldKids! We've had two kids go to the Burien location as infants - as young as 12 weeks. The teachers and staff are all fantastic. They work with us on any needs we have for our kids. They are all very tuned in to what the kids need at any given moment, and they really help develop and teach the kids as they grow. Communication is great, and there are continual updates throughout the day to see what the kids eat, when they sleep, what they learn, etc. And we love that they are immersed in Spanish throughout all of the other excellent aspects of the program. It can be tough to turn them over all day when they are so young, but they are truly in good hands at WorldKids. read more

Really great teachers that helped our little guy transition quite a bit but their billing systems was very weird and unclear. You will have to put down half a month as a deposit and i don't think there is any proration so have to start when ever they say. Their system seemed to glitch out on us during the short time we were there and double charged us all 3 times. They did refund but it was a 5-7 business days wait period. Our son started at World Kids Burien when he was one year old. We've been super happy with the teachers and professional staff. The staff is super compassionate and caring. The bilingual curriculum is a major bonus and he understands A LOT of Spanish (though we practice at home as well.) Our kiddo speaks in toddler Spanglish a lot of the time, which is very fun. The teachers have all cared deeply about my kid and are all attentive and notice things about him that even I did not. When my child recently had to transition from toddler class to preschool class, he had a rough time. I was able to express my concerns to the teachers as well as the administrative folks and they went out of their way to extend the "transition time" and make adjustments for him. For a little background, I am a detective who specializes in child abuse, which means I have investigated numerous childcare facilities for negligent care of kiddos. This means at first it was EXTREMELY difficult for me emotionally to leave my kiddo in the care of someone I didn't know. World Kids has several policies and practices in place that alleviated many of the safety-related red flags I've seen at other facilities. These things include the front doors of the daycare facility being locked during the day to prevent unwanted entry of unauthorized people, cameras in the classroom so if there is an incident it can be reviewed; as well as staff members keeping their personal items out of the classroom (to mitigate the possibility of the children accidentally accessing things like medication that they shouldn't.) Overall, I feel like World Kids and their staff has helped my child so much in learning how to share, interact, and learn things like trying new foods, holding a pencil and sitting in a chair. (I know that seems like minor things, but anyone who is a parent of a toddler knows that those sometimes aren't simple tasks.) I will be forever grateful for the teachers Reina, Iras and Patricia for the love they had for my kiddo and compassion they had for me and my family during the first year and a half at the facility. I am expecting my second kid soon and he will definitely be attending World Kids with his big brother. read more

My daughter has been at WorldKids SODO for 2 months now in the Toddler classroom. She's 16 months old. We had been working with a part time nanny, but really wanted a Spanish immersion program as her father's native language is Spanish. Pros: - caring, kind, responsible teachers! I'm so happy to see my kid so excited to see her teacher at drop off. I know she's comfortable with other adults - Spanish immersion: we speak English and Spanish at home and I can tell she knows what's up. - App updates: great photos, easy to communicate with staff and teachers. - Flexible drop off and pickup times. So helpful. - curriculum info sent home weekly. - Lots of diff activities available throughout the day, incl music class What could be improved: - Admin communication could be better. We had a teacher move classrooms and weren't informed. - teacher turnover: we've only been there 2 months but I've heard other parents calling this out - I've heard of other places having curriculum nights and wish there was something similar. My kid is so young, but it'd be nice if to know more about the philosophy/approach. - It'd be cool if the school tried to organize something so parents/families could meet each other. We haven't met many other families yet. It's all business at drop off and pick up! Our first born started going to WorldKids SODO full-time since he was 4 months old (now 3.5 years). We sent our second child to the same school when he was 6 months old (now 15 months old). They are thriving! We love the school and the teachers and so do the kids. What's impressive is that the kids now know Spanish and Mandarin (more Spanish though probably there are more Spanish speaking teachers). We recently moved to the suburbs, so it didn't make sense for us to continue full-time, but fortunately WorldKids accommodated a 2-day per week part-time schedule for us (since husband works in the area a few days a week anyway) so we could still continue with the same teachers - very very thankful to the admin staff for being flexible with that.
