Meanwhile, a family member tried booking the same trip on Delta's website. She initially saw a lower price than what I was quoted, but the moment she tried to purchase, the price jumped by $400. When she adjusted her travel dates, it shot up even more--an additional $600 from the original listed fare. These bait-and-switch tactics are unbelievable, and I honestly don't know how Delta can get away with it. In the end, I went to Allegiant and booked the same itinerary in under five minutes for just **$187 total--including a bag--**with upfront, honest pricing and a nonstop flight. No games, no frustration, just simple and fair. Delta has lost my business, and Allegiant just gained a loyal customer.
