I…read morewould never take a vehicle to State Avenue for repairs after the botched head replacement job they did on my fathers (now mine) Chevrolet pickup. Stuff happens and you can only hope that the shop will step up and take care of it. Not this shop, the owner refused to accept any liability, blaming the tech he hired and the shop that supplied the replacement heads. After an 18 month battle with him and his insurance company we finally had to file a claim in the courts to get partially reimbursed for the re repairs. I cannot stress enough how important it is to find another shop to do business with. You may get lucky and they won't damage your vehicle working on it, but is it worth the risk? I feel that this review need not be forgotten. I don't care how many years it has been. Hence the repost. As I said do one bad job they tell everybody.

The detail guy said he "blew" out the interior and that he didn't clean the inside of the windows because thay always looked worse after cleaning. The leather interior got burned by the heat gun when the tinted the pax window. They did more damage than good. It was a terrible experience!

Called on one shop who did not answer and then called Auto Care Center. I explained our situation and was told they would look at it and although busy if simple they would fix it. The heater hose was diagnosed, a new part ordered and when cool was fixed. It only took a bit over two hours and the cost was very fair. I was impressed by their courtesy and professionalism and absolutely would recommend them to anyone in need.

The automatic sensor on my truck said I still had about 85% ware left on both the front and the back brakes. I was told that my sensor was in error and that it would be $2500 to replace my front, rear and parking brake (if necessary). I was told that my truck took very expensive brakes since it was expensive truck-- I later found out that this is not true. I then took my truck to Les Schwab to get a second opinion.
