My 2014 Mustang was getting a little worn so I decided to fix it up starting with the upholstery. I…read moreeventually decided on Katzkin brand leather installed by Sonny's Upholstery. I could not have made a better choice with either. Both Sonny and his wife Rhonda helped me pick an appropriate color. They did the front and rear seats. In addition, the Mustang has side airbags in the seat backs so just any old upholstery or seat cover won't do. The upholstery has to allow the air bags to expand where they are supposed to in a collision. The Katzkin product has special seams that allow that and Sonny's installer must perform an additional process with the airbags to assure everything works as it should. Sonny wanted two days to do it but I was called first thing the morning of the second day and told it was done. It looks and feels like a new car now. Leather upholstery is not for everyone as it is very expensive. If you decide on cloth instead, Sonny can do that as well. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job or better quality than Sonny. If you need new upholstery, go see Sonny.

I grabbed a pie when I picked up my newly upholstered piano bench. They did an amazing job. It looks really really nice. And we couldn't be happier. We matched a green velvet chair that we had in our study perfectly. The etching around the corners looks really good, and they even left a little spot underneath the bench to allow me to screw in the bracket more easily when I got it home. If I have any complaint, I place my order during their busy season so it took a little longer than I might have wanted, and they didn't call me when it was finished. I had to call them. They communicated well outside of that though, and I like the overall nature of the business. Pardon any typos.

What a gem of a shop!…read more The Top Shop really harkens back to the days of excellent customer service, honesty, and craftsmanship. I brought in my Cayman, as the door panel had a bit of a 'wow' in it where the panel meets the window. (Apparently not an uncommon thing in the desert heat.) Terry said he thought he could fix it, and to leave it with him for the afternoon. (I was blown away by the shop, by the way. It exudes that old fashioned passion and pride of craftsmanship. It made me want to hand out and learn and play in all the fabrics and materials!) But the main point of my post is to say how impressed I was with Terry and James. Later that afternoon, Terry called to let me know that he actually couldn't totally fix the issue (there was a hidden problem that was only seen once he looked inside the panel.) But he did sort of band-aid it, which visually left it much better than before. Might not last, but he did the absolute best he could. And said he would not charge me. What? But he spent time on it! I offered to pay him SOMETHING? ANYTHING? Please, he spent some time on it and I wanted to honor his time. But he refused and said that he wasn't able to fix it to his satisfaction, so he would not feel right charging me. Wow, we just don't see this level of customer service these days. I salute Terry and James for what they are doing at The Top Shop. Not that I want to have any issues with this or any future car, but if I do, I know where I will go!! Thanks, Terry and James!! Keep it up. Love Lori
