Phoenix Rain Gutters & Sun Protection

I recently had Phoenix Raingutters our to add a downspout to rain gutters they had installed for me…read more7 years ago, They were prompt courteous and helpful. While here they explain in the 7 years since I last used them they've expanded their offerings to Sun Protection including sunscreens and outdoor sun protection roller shades. I had no idea and while I had no needs in those areas I casually mentioned a problem I was having to see if they could offer a solution.. My house has a flat patio roof like many here in Phoenix, with stucco pony walls that direct water to one drain. The flat part is in good shape but the top of the stucco pony walls have deteriorated badly, to the point that one can see rusted chicken wire in the deteriorating stucco. (See before pictures). My house was scheduled to be painted and I knew even repairing the damaged stucco and painting it wasn't going to be a good long term fix. While I knew standard rain gutters weren't the answer, I asked Andre if he could think of a solution to prevent future sun deterioration as well as water intrusion to the top of those walls. He quickly grabbed a ladder, took some measurements and notes and came up with a proposal on the spot. You can see the results in the 'After Pictures. They fabricated a custom cap out of aluminum that covers the top of the wall from end to end. The installation is beautiful and looks as it was always part of the plan. In actuality it should have been. I can't thank Andre and Phoenix Rain Gutters and Sun Protection enough for their creativity, craftsmanship and excellence. Strongly recommend them for standard jobs and even for consultation about solutions to outdoor sun and rain issues.

I called Phoenix Rain Gutters on Monday and by Friday afternoon, the job was done. You just cannot beat that. How did it go? Estimator came right out on Tuesday and gave us a number. His colleagues came out the next day to check and get details. They promised to start the job on Friday. Friday morning, three friendly, nice guys showed up and started working. They were professional, respective of our property and very nice to work with. They made helpful suggestions. And they finished that day! They didn't have to come back the following week. We haven't had a rain yet so we'll see, but at this point, I'm extremely happy with the job and I would recommend them.

Not only were they not communicative, but our planned installation date was moved last minute 5 times because the workers never showed up. In addition, their concrete contractor up and quit on the job after not following the specifications of the contract. Finally, our assigned project manager quit the company without notice to us and I had to continually call the company until a new project manager was assigned. At this time, the patio STILL has not be installed and had the plans signed in July. In short: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are a bunch of scammers and your money will be wasted as they seem completely incapable of finishing a job.

Tom was so wonderful to work with. He was on time for every appointment. He talked with us in detail about exactly what we wanted. He measured everything perfectly and the install was flawless. We had a solid cover built for a seating area, a lattice cover built for shade at the back of the house, and a louvered cover built over the hot tub. My husband loves the louvered Solara, which can be opened to see the stars when we are in the spa. This was a big home improvement for us, and I'm so happy that we had such a reputable company to do the work. The quality and craftsmanship are superior, and the install crew was great. The pricing was very fair and competitive. When it's all said and done, we are thrilled with the result! I would definitely recommend AZ Patio Sun Control for any work of this nature!

With my rambunctious toddler in tow, the owner (?) was patient and understanding as I tried to keep an eye on my little guy and complete my prints. I was in and out within 5 minutes or so! Because of the size and location of the damage, the manufacturer advised finding a local canvas repair shop to fix it, but that proved to be fairly challenging. Thankfully, when I called The House of Canvas, the owner, Chantel, just had me forward her some photos of the damage, and then promptly agreed that they could fix it, and even provided a reasonable min/max price estimate via text. When I dropped it off the next day, the office staff reviewed the damage and agreed it would be no problem to fix it, and on the very next business day, they called to tell me it was already done! To be transparent, during the completion phone call, there was a bit of confusion about the cost of the repairs, since the repairs apparently ended up taking them 3 hours instead of just 1, as originally expected. However, Chantel was quick to tell her staff to honor her original estimate, since no one had ever reached out to discuss anything with us beyond that. Needless to say, I was very impressed by the honesty and ethics Chantel clearly showed in how she runs her business! None-the-less, I was so appreciative of them and their quality work, I voluntarily upped the amount I paid to "meet them in the middle" to show my gratitude and support this small business. I sincerely hope this review helps steer more business their way! (Photos attached to show the before/after shots of the canvas tent repairs.)
