I honestly couldn't find anything seriously wrong with the meal, it had nice subtle flavours (but I'm basically trying to find a diplomatic way of saying I found them kind of boring, taste-wise) Me and my husband both agreed that by the end of it, we felt like we'd both just eaten a whole bunch of bread and little else. All I can say is that if you've never tried manakish before and you're expecting something wild and exciting, prepare to be disappointed.

I grew up in London, Ontario where a lot of my friends were from the middle east. First off, it is very overpriced, I got a shawarma plate and it was over 20$! I get this for around 15$ in London. The plate is so weird, it came with cauliflower with tomato sauce, hummous, salad with fried pita, some weird empty falafel ball, bland rice and bland meat. I was not impressed at all. I did not even get any pita with this plate. I did not notice any rotisseries, so the meat was pan fried most likely.

I ordered a falafel, tabbouleh salad and some lentil soup (which I love!) I get a phone call from the restaurant telling me since you pay the bill before the restaurant gets the order, they cannot fulfill my order as is, because i have ordered something that costs extra so they will send the order without the extra thing. The extra thing was an extra squirt of tahini! I have eaten at least one falafel every week of my adult life for 45 years. I HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED EXTRA FOR AN EXTRA SQUIRT OF TAHINI! So, okay, i won't get extra tahini. The falafel is bone, dusty dry without a hint of any tahini or garlic sauce (as promised in the order) or any moisture at all. Not enjoyable. The coup de grace was the falafel and tabbouleh were filled with green peas! GREEN PEAS! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE green peas in all of their variations BUT not as a surprise in my middle eastern food, ESPECIALLY since green peas do not appear on the menu as ingredients! Not recommended!

The owner and staff are very friendly, you order and pay at the counter but there are plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy on premises. The place is clean and simple. The food is the star and it's worth a visit.

When I first walked-in, I was kindly greeted by the workers behind the till; they were friendly and welcoming as we chose the item that we wanted to eat. The restaurant itself was small however, it was perfect for a quick bite; the décor was simple yet stylish. There were other individuals at the restaurant as well, which made the setting feel cozy. I had settled on the twisted shawarma without the parsley and onions; I was told by the staff that this was going to be a delicious shawarma so, I was looking forward to it. I waited at the table, and within ten minutes, I was brought the shawarma directly to the table; such excellent customer service! I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the shawarma was; the pita was nicely toasted, and the ingredients inside of the shawarma were the perfect combination of meat, vegetables, and garlic sauce. Overall, this restaurant definitely has my vote for top food, excellent service, and a humble environment. I felt welcomed during my entire stay, and truly enjoyed the food, as it was one bite of deliciousness after another. This restaurant knows how to prepare authentic food, along with displaying kind gestures to all customers, while making a customer feel loved from entry to exit. Everything for the most part is made fresh right in front of you and they use quality ingredients. Service was quick; I had a little difficulty ordering because the guy at the front doesn't speak english very well but that doesn't affect the rating. Interior is really cute, I love the colors and decorations. They have public bathrooms here. I'd like to say I'll be back, but because of the price it'll probably be an occasional treat for me.
