This place is kinda shabby and has convenience store for office workers vibes, but the food they serve is on point. The best cakes I've had in Olympia can be found here. That's not the greatest compliment, since mostly if you want a slice of cake, you gotta get it in the bakery of the grocery store and those cakes are overladen with frosting, but the fact that they use whipped cream icing on the cakes elevates their cake slices above the rest. The people are nice and very helpful, but the only thing I have against this place is they definitely just cater to the office crowd, because they are open in the morning and close at 3pm. If you're jonesing for cake like I am somedays, you're not going to get it after work, so they lose a star for that. I like that they have frozen pies, both in fruit and savory styles, so I'm going to have to try that.

Dog friendly patio with delicious pastries and hot breakfast. Very much worth the visit during your time in Olympia!

This little place is a true treat in every sense of the word! From the delectable little pastries and custom cookies, cakes and treats that are fun for all ages, to the gourmetesc sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. All accompanying each other with fruit, vegetable, and pasta salads, assorted cakes and sugary gifts from the baking Goddesses who put the craft in craftmanship that these truly represent. Fresh coffee, tea, or even a redbull if you crave it. All in a quaint and familiar setting for friends, family, or romantic nook for all to enjoy. Guilty pleasure each time I get to visit.

Fun place with good food and great coffee. Parking isn't great, but it's worth a little walk.

The food was ok. Nothing spectacular for the price. Not sure if I'll go again. Wasn't impressed with the cookies that I tried.

Great pastries!! Their king cake in 2024 was even better than 2023 version. So much better and fresher than getting shipped.

Sidewalk's BEC/EC bagel sandwiches are like back home!! The best I've had in the PNW. We've been coming for years and plan to continue - when we have visitors from out of town we bring them here. Not just for the breakfast sandwiches but the rest of the menu is outstanding. I don't want to leave a bad review because this place is great and I'm hoping it can be fixed but I can't find contact info other than a phone # (I called and conveyed this too) and did want to reach out and let the owners know: over the past few weeks we've ordered BEC/EC bagels on two separate occasions and there has been a noticeable decrease in the bagel quality. Idk if there is a change in recipe or supplier or process, but the whole family agrees there is something off. The bagels are too soft and fall apart and the flavor is weird - almost like a weird bun instead of a bagel... we hope that can get fixed!! I'm happy to delete this once the owners see it! We really love coming here and want Sidewalk to do well!

The peanut sauce that accompanied it was very sweet and thin, and both rolls fell apart as soon as I took the plastic wrap off. The pork wasn't grilled, it tasted like it was microwaved, there was no flavor at all, the veggies were limp, there was no jalapeño or anything and no Vietnamese mayo, the only good part was the bread. We ordered three sandwiches, one for each of us and one for our son. We just shared the 1, and gave most of that to our dog. We brought the other 2 home. My son took a bite and couldn't eat any more of it. And he eats everything lol I absolutely hate wasting food and money like this. I was really, really looking forward to a bahn mi sandwich. I'm having oral surgery in a week and won't be able to eat them for a very, very long time, maybe never again. We live in Aberdeen and were in town for a doctor's appointment, and our usual spot is closed on Thursdays. So I found this place on yelp. Huge disappointment. And I'm bummed that I have to leave this review because the service was great. The gentleman at the counter, who took our order and cooked our food was super friendly and nice. And maybe the other food there is good, but if you're looking for a bahn mi, go somewhere else. It was literally the worst we've had.

They do it all--hosting, serving, bussing, and even working behind the bar--like a big, wonderful collage of hospitality. They are so warm and friendly. They're making sure everyone is well taken care of! The long benches offer that cozy 'booth feel'. It can be a bit brisk near the mall entrance, so a light sweater is a smart choice. It's already a great spot for families; adding a few crayons for the little ones would make this nearly-perfect gem shine even brighter. First, I ate a Flight of Sliders: * The PB&J Slider: A curious treat! It could have easily been a dessert, like a sweet beef pastry. Perhaps a homemade jelly would help it find that happy, balanced medium between sweet and savory. * The Fatted Sow Slider: The bourbon-bacon slaw, or maybe it was the pickle, or marinated tomato had a bold tang that took center stage. I like pickled things, but I'm always looking for harmony where every flavor gets a chance to sing! * The Poutine Slider: this was my favorite out of the three. The gravy was smooth and the curds were rich. It was the most balanced of all. (It would be a fun spin to see those potatoes as deep-fried rounds or hash browns!) The flight comes with beer or a milk shake, they were out of the blonde options. So, I got a milkshake instead -- more sugary than mellow creamy/tart berries. Then we tried "Gettin Nutty With It" 5.5% ABV, a macadamia nut beer from Olympus Brewing. It was rich and brown, with notes of malt and caramel. My wife had the Three Pepper Bomb Burger, and it was the very best burger of all! Our little ones ate their kids' meals, and then--pop!--out came free sundaes. We have eaten at Stack 571 four times now, and every time the ingredients are high quality and the food is on point. It's always worth it.

To begin with, the buffet was single sided which created a long line to get food. When we got to the buffet, they were out of plates and every pan was empty. Other tables around us were waiting for plates and food also. When the food finally came, it was underwhelming. Avocado toast wasn't toasted, just sliced avocado on bread. The chicken for chicken and waffles was dry and the waffles were empty every time we went to check for more. The eggs Benedict was bland and not warm. If you are going to do brunch, please plan ahead with enough servers and have a plan to keep food out. Having to continually wait for food and then to find it flavorless was disappointing. Our server didn't take our plates and it's a good thing because they were always out of plates. I guess we had hoped for a better experience. I'd recommend passing on brunch here. Maybe their other menu items are good but based on the limited options we tried, I doubt it. Save you money and even more so, your time. Go elsewhere.
