We visit Gallup at least once a year to see good friends and family, and this time we stumbled upon Pho W Me when the restaurant next door happened to be closed. I guess it was meant to be! Being from Vietnam, I'm extremely picky about where I eat Vietnamese food, and I'm happy to say we really enjoyed our meals here. We order Grilled chicken w rice and egg, vermicelli noodles with grilled pork w eggroll. Our son ordered the Phở Bò Viên (Vietnamese noodle soup with meatballs), and the broth was flavorful and comforting. We've already been back twice during our visit, and it's so nice to see that many Gallup locals are enjoying Vietnamese cuisine too! Thank you to the polite and welcoming staff, and especially the owner for bringing a taste of Vietnamese cuisine to Gallup. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying your upcoming Bánh Mì (Vietnamese sandwich) spot next visit. read more

After hiking at El Morro, we were arriving into Gallup late on a Sunday night and were scrambling to find places still open. We found this restaurant on Yelp and ordered ahead since they closed at 5. Our order was not ready at the requested time, so we had to wait for them to finish it up. When the worker handed it to us, I asked if utensils were in the bags and he assured me they were. They were not. It makes it very difficult to eat pho in particular without the right utensils. We ordered: - Spam Musubi: not sure why they put the sauce on the side. The point of this dish is that the spam is cooked in the teriyaki sauce. - Spring rolls: these were very good. Probably the best thing we ordered. - Fried egg roll: also very good. Really liked the dipping sauce - Fried rice with spam: the spam was not cooked into the rice. It was thrown on the rice and was super dry, almost like they had deep fried it. The rice overall also had a weird flavor. - Pho with brisket: broth had a different flavor than we're used to, but it was flavorful. Veggies were fresh. - Honey soy butter chicken with rice: I didn't taste the honey or the soy, but it had good flavor. It was pretty greasy though. - Boba: Taro and milk tea were both pretty watered down and boba didn't have any flavor. They have a large seating area and had country music playing. read more

Great food! Some of the best pho I've had! Looks can be deceiving - from the outside of the restaurant you wouldn't expect it to be as good as it is. Give it a chance though! You won't be disappointed read more

First of all the food is almost always good, reason I say this is because sometimes it takes longer than it should... even when there is only 1-3 parties in there. Customer service is very poor, given the fact I used to work as a server. The servers don't check on their tables as they should. And I believe customers should be able to eat without feeling like they're sitting in 100% humidity ... I don't see why the a/c systems don't work as they should .... Great place for pho but those are the points of improvement... customer service & a well ventilated place to actually sit and enjoy food ... read more

We've been here a few times. This time the service was not on point. The food came out fast but the cleanliness of the restaurant was terrible. We walked in and there were many tables that had dirty dishes and staff were available at the counter but not cleaning up. The food was good, but definitely not a good vibe to not get tables cleaned up. read more

Wow, so Gallup, New Mexico finally has an authentic Phö spa!!! Woohoo! So, it was snowing out on the Navajo Nation and I decided that I was something delicious and warm to soothe my soul. One of my friends recommended Pho W Me. I was greeted by friendly and warm customer service and was able to choose my own seat at a nice and comfortable booth. My waiter was on point, prompt, professional and quick! I started off with crispy spring rolls, they were fried to perfection! The sweet chili sauce hit home as well with the flavors! The portions of spring rolls were very abundant! I ordered the Steak Phö and requested for it to be cooked medium well. The phö came out not too long afterwards and it was nice and HOT!!! The broth smelled so savory! I added in my toppings, coupled with the hoisin sauce and sriracha hot sauce! Man oh man, the flavors were very rich and authentic! I felt warm and happy after finishing my food! The ambiance is very lively and upbeat, and comfortable. I felt very relaxed while enjoying my meal, and my waiter checked in on me to made sure I had what I needed. Check this spot out, cheers to good eats! read more

Let me set the scene. Two weary travelers embarking on a road trip from San Diego, CA, to Boston, MA, searching for a taste of refreshing vietnamese food on a hot summer day. Did this place exceed every and any expectation? Yes. We got two #1 vermicelli bowls with pork & egg rolls. Pork, seasoned to perfection, lettuce was fresh & elegantly sliced, nuoc cham (sauce) was plentiful & balanced. Egg rolls were just good. Portions were generous but not excessive - we gobbled them down like two wolves on a full moon. Service was great & quick - the waitress was nice & attentive with our water levels. The place was semi-busy, but at no point did we feel as if we were ignored. All in all, yes, Gallup NM, I do pho with you. 4.65/5 -Q&O read more

I appreciate touches like the hoisin sauce, rooster sriracha sauce and large Asian soup spoons at each table to make the place authentic. The menu is small. Choice of meat for pho is limited to rare steak, well done flank and beef meatballs. There are a couple rolls for appetizers, small selections of vermicelli bowls and rice dishes. Giving props to this place for offering something unique locally. read more

As far as I know, this is the only place I know of in Gallup that has Pho. Unique little spot but such a great place. Food was good, service was great and among all things, it was open on Sunday. The charbroiled pork is what I had, and I can tell you the servings were big and worth the price. Make sure you stop on in. read more

Not authentic at all. The bowl is large, but the portion size isn't substantial. I asked for an extra lemon, but by the time I finished eating and received the bill, the lemon still wasn't provided. read more

Finding this small unassuming Pho shop in Gallup was a pleasant surprise. On the outside, it's just another shop in a strip mall, but inside it's definitely a Vietnamese restaurant. I ordered a Thai tea with the special combination pho. The tea was good and the pho came with some basil leaves, bean sprouts , lime wedges and sliced fresh jalapeños. The basil leaves were not the freshest as some of the leaves had started to wilt. The bean sprouts were also changing texture from being in a fridge. However, since the gallup area is basically a food desert, I will give them a pass. The broth was very good and balanced. It could have been slightly richer but it still tasted good. All in all, I enjoyed my first visit here and will definitely come back . read more

Phở W’ Me - Special combination pho - Vietnamese Near Me - Gallup, New Mexico

Chaotic and disappointing, this little Vietnamese restaurant falls short if you are serious about your pho. The pho base was weak or diluted. It didn't have much flavor nor did it have much aromatics. I usually place a fair amount of star anise and cinnamon in my pho broth while simmering on the stove. It was there but weak on both. My ex-wife is from Ho Chi Minh City and her mother taught me how to cook pho ga and pho Bo from scratch. By the way there is no Bun Bo Hue (Hue style spicy lemongrass beef soup) nor banh mi (Vietnamese style sandwiches on French rolls) here. I'm not sure where the business owner got some of those pictures of food but I didn't see anyone's dishes looking like most of those pics. Ours weren't the same sizes or presentations as the owner photos in Yelp. Lunch line was about 10 minutes long. Take out wait for the woman in front us in line was quoted 45 minutes. The phones kept ringing, supposedly for take out orders, and staff was just trying to keep up with sit-down and take-out orders placed at the front desk. Amazingly, there was no soy sauce for the rice dishes, lemon not lime for the pho, no lettuce or shredded carrot or cucumber for the cha gio (egg rolls), no crispy chili oil, and no beef tendon (gan) in the pho dac biet (special #1). There was black pepper sprinkled in my special pho #1. Maybe they knew there wasn't enough flavor in the broth. However, the meatballs and tripe were good. They don't use Vietnamese names for the dishes either. The atmosphere is ok. It's clean. There's not much decor and the egg rolls are under a heat lamp at the server's desk. We also ordered the pork chop with rice but we got grilled pieces of seasoned pork with rice. Fried onions were good. Unfortunately, the portions are small for the price and served in plastic bowls. Pricy for the amount you get but it's Gallup and not LA. If you are used to the venues in Las Vegas, LA, or San Jose, this is not the soup place for you. Perhaps they'll make it into a great restaurant but it's only ok today. The service was overwhelmed on their 5th day. I certainly hope they can get better portions, flavor and efficiency in their staff. I expect service to get better as they were in on-the-job training mode today. Gallup needs a good pho place badly. I'll stop being lazy, bring my own ingredients from ABQ and make my own pho until Gallup gets a great Viet diner. cám ơn read more

Have mixed feelings about this. Not sure if they know their own cuisine. Ordered the rice vermicelli and got a bowl of rice with pork. When asking the waitress she said "I just work here". Food was pretty dry too. Again, mixed feelings. read more

I'm so devastatingly disappointed with my visit to Pho W Me today. I placed an online order for pick-up; well-done steak pho, tripe pho, and 2 chicken fried rice. I went to pick it up and the girl at the front retrieved my order. When I got home and opened the bags I noticed I was missing the well-done steak in the broth. I called the restaurant and the girl said they would have it ready. Such an inconvenience to have to drive back to the restaurant, but I did. Lo and behold I was given a container with TINY ASS PIECES of RAW steak and the girl had the nerve to say "you already have the broth, the meat will cook in it". A $15 dish to receive less than an ounce of raw meat when I specifically ordered well-done. How rude and disgraceful! This was a go-to place for myself and family and I've recommended it many times, but after this visit I'll be taking my business elsewhere along with my recommendation. read more

Phở W’ Me - Measly ass rare steak - Vietnamese Near Me - Gallup, New Mexico

Tasty broth in the rare steak pho. But the service needs some improvement and their communication skills are lackluster. I ordered to-go and had to wait about 45 mins to get my order of (2) bowls of pho, and (1) side of spring rolls. They ran out of peanut sauce and they assumed without asking me if I wanted their alternate sauce, the fish sauce. It just came with the order. ‍ The meatball pho barely had any meatball and it appeared to only have 1 meatball that was sliced. So don't expect any hearty serving of meat. The rare steak pho was the same, they skimped on the meat and each bowl was about $15 each. Personally, I wouldn't visit again, unless my pho craving hits hard next time. At your own risk! read more

Was kind of hard to find, there was no large sign. Came with some co-workers for lunch. Took a while to get any service, there was 2 waitress that walked back a forth for a good 10 mins before we got served. Maybe we came at a bad time or day, service wasn't that great. I'd give that 2 stars, however the food was delicious when we did get it, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Definitely a great find and place to dine, just have to have the time and patience. I will return just to see if it was bad timing, like I mentioned the food was delicious. read more

Clean interior, plenty of space - not too small. Upon arriving, stood in line, there was a sign that did say to wait to be seated.
