I'm not gonna lie, it wasn't the food, that was fine. Not the best but I wouldn't have complained, it was, as I said, fine. But it was the treatment. I ordered pho and fresh rolls (2)... ( they were only the counter. When I left after picking up my food, I realized ( or thought) that there were no fresh rolls in my bag so I returned to ask if perhaps he forgot to put the fresh rolls ( the only two left) in my bag as I didn't see them. I was very nice. Really, just calmly, not upset , asking an honest question. He FLIPPED OUT ON me. He started screaming that I wasn't from VT and to get out of his restaurant... as a couple was sitting there now, he started saying I wasn't trying to ruin his business, that I didn't belong in VT and to go away or he'd call the police. My car's plates were not VT, for no reason or business of his. I've lived here over 20 years. He literally chased me out of the shop. I found my fresh rolls when I got home. They were in the bag the whole time, I missed them. But his treatment was borderline scary, definitely freaked me out. Just sayin. It was pretty bad treatment. And the food fine to meh. read more

Good food quick service. Simple decor. Decent prices. Had duck soup and pot stickers. Easy on and off I-89. Friendly servers. No complaints here for quick Thai food. Went here after seeing it on the street while walking around. They seem to provide multiple types of Asian food. So there is something for everyone. I got the ramen which is fine for where we were. Good Thai food with fair prices in downtown Montpelier. Immediately greeted by the owner who took our order and got our food out in about 15 minutes. We stopped in for dinner about a year ago and enjoyed our pho. Missing the 'Just Life Soup' restaurant that had closed on Elm St earlier we were looking for decent pho. While not the same thing as what we had at the soup restaurant on Elm it was still good and we will go back. Not a great place to sit as it gets cold so I suggest take out. While walking down Main Street, I stumbled onto this place. There were 5 or 6 people sitting and eating inside, so it couldn't the that bad. That day the menu include a #7 that was a pho with fish balls and something else, and offered as a dry noodle. Since I was going to be eating at my desk, I thought a dry noodle would be easier to eat. When I got back to my desk, I was surprised and disappointed to find nothing that resembled a fish ball, but definitely the driest noodle dish I have ever been served (see photo). There was a dry crumbled white meat (ground chicken ???) - it was flavorless, so i can't tell you want it was. There was their version of char siu - that had bright pink food coloring. The noodle was completely dry, no sweet sauce or any type of sauce to add to it. I don't think I got what I ordered. A surprisingly nice Thai eatery hidden in Montpellier. Dodging the rain and wanting something different we stumbled in. The owner was ready to assist. The menu was displayed with photos and prices. This was my first time in this place as I've been going to the "other" pho place in town. And I was not disappointed. I got the sweet & sour shrimp (tom yum). The broth was rich and flavorful. The mushrooms were tender and were cooked in the broth as I ate. I asked them to make it spicy, so they added two Thai chili peppers that were sliced to let the heat into the broth. I could squish the pepper against my bowl to make it more spicy, which I appreciated. Overall, I liked this dish and would order it again. Really really good. I'm really impressed by the fresh ingredients, quality, spice and overall deliciousness. The glass noodle salad was amazing - perfect combination of shrimp, ground pork, spices and veggies. The som tam salad is absolutely the best in the area, and is straight out of Tiny Thai. Royal Orchid doesn't come close. The owner is super friendly too. Instead of going after the pho market, I wish they'd expand their Thai offerings, which are the hidden specialty. read more

This place is amazing!! The service is warm and friendly, and last week when I wasn't quite sure what it was my husband wanted, the owner knew. I always get the Coconut Tom Kha soup, with tofu, and I can't say enough good things about it. It is absolutely delicious. We usually get takeout, but sometimes we eat there - both are good. Fantastic hole in the wall Thai restaurant which also makes Vietnamese pho noodle soups. Owner is Thai and very gracious. Food selections are authentic Thai at better quality and prices than typical Americanized Thai high end restaurants which have ungodly prices for basic Thai fare. Just tried Pho Thai for the first time and will definitely be back again. Seafood Tom Kar is a favorite of mine and theirs was top notch with a perfectly balanced coconut milk-lime broth, an abundance of perfectly poached fish, shrimp and mussels.
