In short - rating 3/5 because... seat cleanliness & sushi is subpar IMO. Service - 5/5. I've been here a few times for takeout sushi in the past, and more recently I've eaten at the restaurant itself with my boyfriend. We made a reservation maybe 30 min before going in as our previous dinner plans didn't work out. Very busy restaurant, but we were seated right away. Their dining room is divided in two parts, one with the bar and some tables & chairs; the other side has a long bench along the walls all around. Definitely try to be on the "bar side" if you can; we were seated on the "bench" side and it just wasn't as pleasant. I was sitting on the bench and it was just very dirty, with food and hair on it and food scraps and even utensils on the floor around the tables. The restaurant is very kid-friendly, and I understand the staff is busy but I just think that cleaning around tables is essential, especially when families were seated there, because kids are messy. We shared a couple of appetizers and they were very good. Cocktails are also excellent! Boyfriend had the chicken teriyaki and liked it, but found it a bit dry. We had some sushi - even though I should have known better, because I've had their takeout before and never really liked it. Boyfriend only eats nigiri - he had the smoked salmon one and said it was not good at all. I had a salmon roll served with lemon on top - the lemon was too ripe and soaked the fish which was weird. Also had an eel roll, which was kind of tasteless. All pieces were huge and I couldn't finish - I took the leftovers back to our hotel but ended up tossing it - super unusual for me as I *always* end up eating my sushi leftovers later in the night. Service was excellent, our waitress was super efficient and friendly. Overall we would come back, but I don't think I would ever have sushi here again. I'd go for cocktails and to try a bunch of appetizers. read more

We had lunch today at Chang Thai Cafe looking for some good Thai food. And while my wife's sushi rolls were very tasty and my massamum curry was delicious, my lemon grass soup came with shrimp still with their tails on and a so-so broth (not the kick I expected). Finally our order took over 30 minutes to arrive placing it after one couple that arrived after our order was placed and they received their order before ours came out. The problem was they were not very busy so I'm not sure if the kitchen was the issue. The order was delivered hot so it didn't sit around. I'd give them another try but not if I'm in a rush! read more

We drove up to Littleton for supper after spending a good part of the afternoon at Lost River Gorge because a few of us were craving sushi. My kiddo and I have been to dozens of Asian fusion spots, and this one came recommended from family, who were with us. What a cute little space. Very comfy seats with a lot of ambient lighting. The menu looked promising. The waitstaff were absolutely lovely. We ordered the Thai Party Box appetizer. It comes with 4 Crab Rangoon & 2 of everything else. Not as easy to split among 4 people as we thought, but the apps were good. My kiddo had the Salmon Lover Roll, and I had the Cherry Blossom Roll. I realize the menu says they don't list all the ingredients & to let them know of allergies, however, the lemon on both rolls was a surprise. I would recommend for the restaurant to notify people of that garnish. While not everyone is allergic to citrus, not everyone likes citrus, either. We were okay with it, just surprised, as I said. My one actual complaint was the rice in my Cherry Blossom Roll was soggy. We didn't get to have the Beef Pad Thai we ordered, as we were very full after the apps & sushi rolls, but it was nicely plated & smelled delightful. I did steal a bite of the Beef Panang Curry my sister ordered. Incredibly flavorful with the right amount of spice. We will be back on our next visit. read more

On 12/19/24 my young daughter and I were having a very sad day. We decided to treat ourselves by going out to sushi at this wonderful restaurant around 4:30pm. As soon as we walked in we were greeted warmly by a smiling hostess, who INSTANTLY noticed that we were a bit sad. We shared that we had just experienced a horrible incident that had thrown us slightly. Apparently, the hostess shared this with our server, who then proceeded to be the MOST KIND and MOST CARING waitress I have ever interacted with! She knew what we needed. She gave my daughter extra attention, made us feel like human beings again.....I wish I could have afforded to give her a bigger tip, and I wish I had saved their names to memory, as both of those ladies deserve a compliment for the extra care they gave. I would highly recommend this place. Not only is the food good, but the staff care, and that makes all the difference. read more

I did not appreciate the 20% MANDATORY TIP on groups of 5 or more. The food prices are high which means the tip will also be high. The food portions are very small for the amounts they are charging per plate. Why are you also trying to stiff us in the tip??? I live in the area part of the year, and being from the West coast it was hard to get used to the slimmer selection of diverse foods than I'm used to, but I have to say that this is the best Thai food I have ever had! The sushi is super mediocre, absolutely no rice vinegar. They quoted an hour and after an hour the food wasn't ready for at least another 20-30 mins. They required 20% gratuity for a larger takeout order. The people who answer the phone know nothing about sushi. The Thai food is decent. It is one of only a handful of restaurants in the whole county that consistently puts out great food. The service is great. Folks need to understand that cooking fresh takes some time. Our family tried the Chang Thai Cafe. We tried the summer rolls, TAMARIND DUCK, CHOO CHEE STEAK and CHERRY BLOSSOM ROLL (sushi) and curry with duck. We also ended this amazing meal with three different desserts and they were epic! We were pleasantly surprised by this little gem in Littleton, NH. Five of us came in and had a mix of Thai, Ramen, Pho and Sushi. We were immediately welcomed, seated and brought water. The ambiance was very pleasant and comfortable. The service staff were all very friendly and helpful. Thai iced tea with boba was delicious. I had the Pho, which was exceptionally executed. My wife had the coconut chicken soup and said it was one of the best she'd had. My son had the Tonkatsu Ramen and said the flavors were perfectly balanced. He and his wife also shared three different rolls and said they were all really good. My granddaughter had the Thai Kai fries and like all of it. Very nice meal and everything hit the mark. However, comes in a huge bowl with 8-10 wontons- too big to have an entree after, or just plan to share with the table. Or don't eat it all but $9.00 is a lot for a normal soup. They should offer a smaller bowl at a smaller price. BF ordered PAD THAI - Shrimp $18.00 Rice noodles, egg, scallions, bean sprouts & ground peanuts BF said it was pretty good, not great but he ate it all. I ordered : THAI FRIED RICE shrimp $18.00 w/egg, onion, broccoli, baby corn, zucchini, carrots & peas This came out looking wonderful, but the 8 shrimp were literally almost raw. They weren't barely warm. I asked for them to be taken back and cooked more -completely and the server easily took it back, but it came back with the shrimp only 1/2 cooked. That gray flesh is not appetizing in the least . I ended up eating the veggie rice and while it had a nice flavor, I was grossed out by the shrimp. Considering how easy it is to overcook shrimp, they could not have been in the pan more than 1-2 minutes. Service was pretty good. They run around but we had to ask for refills on our water a few times. I did not think I would go back. SECOND VISIT (tried again) BF ordered one of the specials of the night - NOODLE SALAD but it was cold and not that flavorful. He would not order again. He also ordered the PAD THAI SHRIMP again. No change in his comments. I ordered the special dumpling soup again and just left half of it. Still very good and I really enjoyed it. Then I ordered the SURF AND TURF $23.00 Perfectly grilled shrimp & steak, sticky rice & house salad This seemed like a slam dunk... clear and concise - no surprises. No, it came out covered with a thick unappetizing sauce that overwhelmed the steak. The sticky rice was barely warm and hard, and the salad had no dressing and was bitter greens. The server came over to ask how it was and I said "The menu did not say it had a sauce on it - this is not very good. " She said, "OK, do you want another without sauce? I said "Yes, thank you." She said "It's what the menu says but I will replace it". So she took the entire plate away. She brought back my plate in about 10 minutes and the salad and sticky rice was gone, as was the shrimp, but the steak was delicious. I had to ask for just plain rice, give up on the shrimp and salad and move on. So for me, it's not worth it overall. If I had to go again, I would get the steak and shrimp and steamed white rice, maybe the soup. But for now it's off our list when we are in the area. read more

Im really surprised that the reviews here aren't higher in stars. Grabbed lunch with my mom a few weekends ago. Based on my order, our waitress guessed that I might need some modifications made to my food and asked if I would like them. (Making fresh Massaman curry without fish sauce to ensure it was vegan). The wait was a little longer because of the special order, but the food was well worth the wait. I was very happy with the gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options available, and the offer to fully customize items to fit my dietary needs at no additional charge. This is probably a good Thai food in Littleton, New Hampshire. The food was alright, not the best I have or the worst. It's more Americanize Thai cuisine, also Japanese as well. They have a portion on their menu which is all sushi rolls. From that you can tell right from the start it's not very authentic with just Thai cuisine. It's doesn't matter as long the food taste good because I was hangry when we got there! The service is good, we got seated pretty fast. We know we are going to be ordered a bunch of food so we requested a bigger table. They were totally cool about it. While looking through the menu, they have a lot of options to pick and choose from. We all got their soup either the lemongrass or the coconut one. We got some appetizer to share as well. We ordered 5 entrees, so we can do family style! I was really surprised that some of the entrees we ordered were really good. The coconut soup tasted good, the appetizer was decent, Korean beef, soft shell crab, and the drunken noodle tasted good too! The only two entrees that didn't taste good to me were the chicken fried rice, and the mussanma curry. Overall, it was a good experience there, nothing much to say. My wife and I decided we wanted Thai after a long day of hiking. This place was around the corner from our hotel. We walked in and there were PLENTY of tables available, but we were wearing jeans and T-shirt's so some kid who seemed to be running the place instructed a waitress to tell us to sit at the bar. Normally we would have just walked out, BUT were exhausted and just wanted food so we sat at the bar. It should be noted that their website does not say "reservations recommended" or anything about a dress code. We ordered drinks and appetizers: scallion dumplings and edamame. The dumplings were absolutely inedible. Mushy, goopy, and undercooked. Oh, and the food was served on PLASTIC plates. If you want to act fancy the least you can do is have actual plates people! While waiting for our entrees of drunken noodles and pad Thai, I decided to go on OpenTable to see if the place was really as booked up as they said. Not at all. Three or four tables still available for while we were there. And they broke up tables that were together to make room for people that walked in. Then our entrees arrived and they were over-sauced and over cooked. The noodles were pretty much mush. Facepalm. SO, if you want Thai food while staying in this town, I'd avoid this place at all costs. Rude staff, elitist management, and awful cuisine. The ONLY positive part of our experience was our bartender. When we arrived there was a 10 minute wait before they told us they'd lost the ticket and asked if they could just refund us. Yes, I enjoy drunken noodles, but not being drunk. I took a brief lunch break at Chang Thai Cafe in Downtown Littleton. The atmosphere inside is very welcoming and casual. The eatery has two sections with rows of table seating and a small bar area. The walls are painted bright yellow green with brown wood trim with a gallery of framed b/w pictures of natural landscapes decorated on the walls. They offer $6.99 lunch specials (M-F until 3PM) I decided to get takeout since my coworker was eating his lunch in the field vehicle outside. I ordered some Drunken Noodles which were hot and ready in about 5 minutes. The staff was friendly and we briefly talked about the construction outside along Main Street which was about 80 percent done. I was in town for a brief time for work. Anyways, I enjoyed the lunch sized Drunken Noodles which were very good and not too spicy (stir fried flat rice noodles, fresh red peppers, onions, garlic, & Thai basil). I needed to open the windows since the hot noodles were steaming up the vehicle with the strong aromas. It's a good thing for me that my coworker also enjoys Asian food (PF Chang's fan). We were treated wonderfully by all the staff. All smiles and very polite. The decor and layout is lovely. There's plenty of space to move around, even when it's busy. We ordered three sushi rolls. The wasabi was hard from prolonged air exposure. All 3 rolls were mediocre at best and were very small and very expensive. I am not confident everything was fresh. Our waitress was Thai so we figured that sushi was not their specialty. We ordered Pad Thai and Beef Masaman to go. It was very expensive and the portions were tiny. The rice container was filled about 40% which was not nearly enough to offset the very soupy Masaman (which had very little meat for the price). They added some cashews which were very stale. However, the avocado was excellent. See photos. My wife tried the Pad Thai, which she ordered with medium spice, and said it was bland and flavorless and it had a long black hair in it which she noticed as soon as she opened the container. read more

We arrived in Littleton, NH after an afternoon of rain in the area. The rain had finally stopped, so we took the opportunity to park and wander around the town a bit. It was just past 5 p.m. and we were getting hungry. We had noted this place when we drove through initially, so we walked back and tried it out. It is right on the main street in town. We were not the first people to arrive for dinner. There was a steady stream of patrons who filled in other tables after we arrived as well. I tried a Massaman curry. It was flavorful but a bit watery vs. what I'm used to. I experienced something similar several nights later (and one state away, so maybe thin curry is some sort of New England style? My wife got a bowl of soup (which she liked) and a chicken dish. She thought it was good. Portion size was moderate, as we had no leftovers after the meal. This place probably benefits from being one of the few Thai restaurants in the immediate area (the next one is probably 20 miles away). If I returned to the area, I would consider going back for another meal. read more

Beware of the raw chicken! My office orders from Chang Thai often, and we've had several issues with raw chicken. In fact, they pulled the Golden bags from the menu because the meat inside was RAW. Then today, I get raw chicken in my yellow curry. The owner refunded the entire lunch, but that doesn't really FIX the issue. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen!! read more
