Just left Pho 07 very disappointing ordered a large chicken pho so that we could share it in addition to the appetizers that we ordered. The large bowl of pho was absolutely tasteless and when we also asked for utensils so that we could serve it into two smaller bowls, we were told they don't have any so therefore we spent the time trying to pick up the soup and the noodles with a fork and a plastic spoon, which was the size of a teaspoon. Never got to eat our lunch left there very disappointed and will never go back when I told the waiter that they reason we were leaving and disappointed was because we asked for a serving spoon so that we could divide up the large bowl of liquid as well as the noodles, etc.. He told us that they did have it and the waitress was just too lazy to go get it. Therefore they lost us as a customer and we will never go back again. read more

Really didn't know a second Pho 79 existed before! Originally familiar with the Davie location, I guess the owners opened a second location in Plantation. It's just as up to par as its sibling. Pho had good broth, a good amount of meat, and came out quickly. I always order the shrimp spring rolls as an appetizer and a Vietnamese coffee to keep awake after filling up with all the food. Definitely stop by here if you need your pho fix. read more

I have to say, I was pretty impressed by the quality and portion size. I ordered a Chicken Pho for pick up and it was hot, packaged perfectly, and ready to be paid for. My food was separated into 2 containers. The soup broth was separate from the clamshell box that had all the shredded cooked chicken and everything to put into the soup broth. They included chopsticks but no spoon. Just looking at the amount of food, I knew there was going to be leftovers and possibly another full portion meal. The herbs and sprouts were very fresh and the crunchy garlic was so good. They take major credit cards and the woman who rang up my meal was friendly. The restaurant was pretty busy during the lunch hour. From the parking lot, the tinted windows do not reveal how many people are dining inside so I never assumed how busy they are at lunch time. They have some authentic spices on the table to mix into the soups or other entrees. I will definitely order from here again just so I can try some other food. It was really good! read more

Pho 79 is located off Sunset Strip in Sunrise, in the same Plaza as Tin Fish and Uncle Al's. Visited it on Easter day for dinner with 3 friends. Let me start by saying THE PHO is DELICIOUS! The menu was a little hard for me at first since this was my first time here. They had all the different type of pho without pricing on one page. Then in the middle of the second page was the pricing. They have 3 sizes and that's how they price them. Some pho have an extra charge because of their ingredients. On this day, the restaurant was about half full. The gentleman who served us didn't speak much English which made ordering quite hard, and he seemed to be a little annoyed. But I am not sure if that is the case or it was just his personality. In any case, he was a little off putting which detracted from the pho experience itself. Was in town for business when we got a craving for Vietnamese and this place was on the way . We were in there pretty early so the tapioca pearls weren't done yet so I got a Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Crystal Jellies and it is so addicting and delicious ! The Shrimp Pho was phenomenal and so flavorful. We drastically underestimated the Chili sauce on the table but the milk tea soothed the burn. That was our mistake! The medium Pho was more than enough for two people. Didn't get any photos before we finished it! The rest of the menu options seemed awesome. I've been coming to this restaurant for some time. The smell as you walk in, is enticing in itself! I always get the small chicken pho, a springroll & thai iced tea. Even a small soup is very filling and very tasty with the fresh lemongrass, sprouts, jalapeno pepper, lime &Thai basil. The spring roll which also has shrimp in it comes with a brown peanut sauce to dip in... Delicious! I think the service could be a little more friendly and the little quicker. Vietnamese soup so good! The best broth soup I've ever had. And very consistent with the taste. Every. Time. It's so flavorful. Soup is always a good idea if you're sick or it's a rainy cold day outside. Soup is good for the soul. They usually do orders by the number. I get a small number 33 pho. It's beef broth with different beef slices, brisket, and a fatty part. It also comes with tribe - which for the adventurous person is beef intestinal lining. Different numbers have less meat varieties or more. I think the number 34 pho is the number 33 + meatballs. That's the main difference in the soup. They also have an all veggies pho but I think the broth is still beef. We also go the spring rolls which is a cold roll. It's shrimp and pork slices wrapped with rice noodles and lettuce and mint. It comes with a peanut based dipping sauce which is amazing. In my culture we make the peanut sauce with a little pepper bc it's spicy but there's isn't. For dessert they have lollicup smoothies that come with tapioca or boba. This is the only place that I've ever had a Thai tea SLUSHED with boba. It's amazing. The flavor itself is not like most Thai tea milk teas but idk if it's the slush-ing effect that makes the teacher flavor really stand out but it's amazing. Located in a plaza with several other Asian restaurants, we decided to give this pho place a try. We walked in to a very spacious and clean restaurant, so I would imagine that it would accommodate large parties well. It seems like there is no system in place for servers and tables, as different workers would take care of my table as time progressed. It was a little difficult to get the workers' attention when we were ready to place our order, so the service could be a little better. Their food was pretty standard for a pho place; good portion sizes and decent flavor in the broth. We asked for the brisket on the side, and it was generous amount of meat. I personally ordered the bun bo hue and was content with it; I did have to add more spice, but I also really enjoy spicy foods. For their prices, this pho restaurant is satisfactory! read more

Pho 79 had been closed for a few months due to covid. They told me they just reopened last week which is great! When I went there to pick up my take-out order, I noticed that the employees were all wearing face masks and the tables were rearranged from pre-covid times. I love that they took the initiative and are trying to keep everyone safe. I also noticed that while there were a good amount of diners inside, they were all scattered in different sections of the dining area. About the food - we ordered a few orders of pho, a few rice dishes, and some egg rolls and spring rolls. For take out standards, the quality was still great when we ate it at home. Very flavorful. Although, the pho was not super hot where it would cook the raw beef in it right away. So just an FYI. It's prob better if you reheat the soup before combining them. But besides that, all the meats in the rice dish were flavored and cooked perfectly. No dry and hard pork chops or grilled chicken at all. Keep in mind though... upon entering, I noticed a sign outside stating that they have raised their prices on many of their dishes by $1. Not sure if it's because of the increase prices for meat in general but I'm sure hard times have trickled down to us as customers as well. I gladly paid for it and enjoyed my food. read more

I normally go to the pho 79 on 107th Avenue but I was in the area and decided to try this location out. The food and menu was the exact same as the other location, minus the friendly service so if you're in the area I'd eat here but I wouldn't go out of my way for this specific location. Also masks are required and social distancing inside of the restaurant is being enforced but they still use handheld menus and self serve open sauces on the side. read more

(They can add/substitute any seafood, I choose to sub the squid for additional shrimp) Along with the Pho, they give you a side of Fresh basil, Culantro, Bean sprouts, and Jalapeños that you can add to your Pho based on personal preference. The broth was flavorful alone but the fresh herbs were a nice addition. I also ordered Thai iced tea. Im not sure if there was a communication barrier but it came frozen which I had not ever had before. Nonetheless I didn't mind, but the Boba was a bit tough. I went to a Pho 79 for the first time in Miami near FIU, their customer service was way better than this Sunrise location. They came by, refilled our water, and seemed much more friendlier. This location wasn't too bad; I got the #29 (the steak and meatballs) with a side of noodles and four egg rolls. The food came out very quickly at both locations. The food compared to the location in Miami is a tad bit worst, the soup had a ginger taste to it. They also didn't refill our waters or came by to see if we were doing good or not. When I was checking out at the cash register, the main small dark-haired woman seemed very off putting and didn't hand my card and receipt in my hand, but rather a couple inches away from me towards the side. I don't think I'll come back here again; I'd rather try out the Coral Springs or Davie location next time. (Also at the Miami location, they had reuseable chopsticks! So authentic!) read more

I had pho and it was good, the noodles were a little off today, maybe a little too over cooked but sometimes when I go it's mainly consistent, I assume it was just a busy day today. I like their broth especially because it's fresh and the vegetables are fresh as well. Usually some shops don't have fresh veggies out and so the flavor goes away. I like how spacious it is and how the workers are friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a hot fresh bowl of noodle soup. I come here when I am in a time pinch and want to eat something quickly due to their fast service. You can walk in and sit wherever you want. They bring you water right away and are ready to take your order whenever you've decided what you want. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a party of 4 for our food to come out. The shrimp spring rolls are my favorite because they are custom made and fresh. I do not like mint so I ask for no mint unlike some other places where their rolls are already premade and I can not change anything. My favorite pho here is either the chicken one or the veggie one. I did try the roast pork and egg roll rice vermicelli on my last visit but felt the roast pork was overly salty. You do get a good amount of pork though! I avoid getting the boba here as I feel it is watery and not as good as the other two places that you can get boba in the same plaza. Save yourself the disappointment and go next door to GoBi if you want boba. Service is always fast but I wish employees would interact with customers more like asking how everything is or just making conversation. On slow days/times, they are really just sitting there and watching customers eat or waiting until they need to refill your cup or bring your check. I like that you can just go to the front and pay when you are done eating rather than wait for someone to get your payment and then wait longer for them to bring you back your card/change. read more

Our record for eating here is 3x in one week! Can't get enough. Every time I travel, or even try a different pho spot locally, I always find myself wishing I was really here at Pho 79. It does get busy around lunch time, which I think is a good sign. There isn't much ambiance-- it feels like a cafeteria-- but it's part of the charm. The staff has been there a while and is very friendly, even though there is a language barrier. I eat mostly vegetarian/vegan when possible, so one thing I LOVE about Pho 79 is their vegetarian Pho and Bun Bowl options are full fledged meals. Other pho restaurants don't seem to know how to handle making these dishes without the pork or beef, so you end up with some broth and maybe a couple scallions, or some underseasoned tofu if you're lucky. I'm telling you, Pho 79 makes tofu in a way that your most skeptical friend would gobble it down. The vegetables! Radishes, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower... They make my favorite vegetarian lunch in Broward. They also can make their spring rolls vegetarian (tofu instead of shrimp + pork) if you ask, which I appreciate because spring rolls are my favorite. Oh, and everyone I've ever gone with is a meat eater and they say the animal based dishes are great, too. One weird thing to note is you add the tip before they swipe your card, not after. We stopped at another Vietnamese restaurant and thank goodness it was closed, bc I'm sure it wouldn't have been as good. We have been to Pho 32 a few times in NY (I'm sure no affiliation) but food was just as good. I like that they had all the needed condiments already on the table. For apps, we ordered the Tom Can Bot(fry shrimps) what we got instead was the Cha Gio (egg rolls). That's the only reason they get 4 stars and not 5. We didn't bother to complain and we still ate it and it was cool. We ordered the Korean beef served with white rice, over-easy egg and fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and the carrot shred-THATS just the way it tasted when we went to Vietnam. It's so goood. We also had the Pho- eye round rare steak, beef brisket, beef flank, fat flank and soft tendon, of course served with all the veggies. It was so delicious. This is a new restaurant that I've been wanting to try. Based on the reviews, since they're new, they were still working out the kinks; so I waited a bit before dining there. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. It was spacious and simplistic looking. I did not try the pho but my husband and brother did and they said it was really good and authentic. I had their pork chops and rice dish which came with a fried egg. It also had a side of fresh cucumbers and tomatos. The flavor was really good. My only complaint was the dish was kind of small and the pork chop had a lot of bone in it. After I finished the dish I was still kind of hungry lol. At other locations, they give you a bigger portion of rice and meat. Next time, I will aim for the pho. We also had fresh spring rolls to share which helped me fulfill my hunger. My brother had the Vietnamese coffee and I had the Thai iced tea. The way they serve their coffee is similar to the way What the Pho serves theirs. They have a coffee making contraption on the glass filled with condensed milk. The service was really quick and the servers were friendly. I love this spot . The seafood pho is my go to and it's literally ready in 7mins! The broth is flavorful, doesn't need any more fish sauce, I only add pepper because I like spice. I shop in the plaza a lot and there's always people walking in and out. There's other pho places within the zip code and this is the only that makes me want to go back. If you look closely at the walls near the back and the sinks it looks slightly run down. It's a simple small square floor plan, nothing fancy, so it's a pretty casual environment. the waiters aren't talkative which is good, you just have to flag them down when you want something else or your when you want your check.
