Definitely the best Pho in town. I went there because my Vietnamese client told me about it. The…read morerestaurant is not very visible on Upper James (big road), so unless people told you about it, you probably won't go in. They recently renovated a bit so things look more modern. The Good: 1. Unlike most Pho places I've been to, they give generous toppings and not just noodle. You can switch rice noodle to egg noodle, clear noodle and even udon (they call it Thick White noodle). 2. Great taste!! Their French beefy stew is the bomb and so is Hot and Sour flavor with chicken. 3. If you like dry noodle Vermicelli, they have the best IMO. For only $9.50 or $10.25, you can get VERY yummy Grilled Pork/Spring Roll and Vietnamese style Grilled Sausage or Tiger Prawn. Very good portion too. I've been there many times. Next time I am going to try one of their Pork Chop rice dishes. They seem popular! The Bad: I really like vietnamese style Iced Coffee but I find the price is a bit high for that nowadays so I never order from there. :( Overall, this is definitely one of the best Pho places I have been. Great price, portion and it tastes authentic enough. I am from Taiwan.

Everything tasted great! The only downside was the service being a bit sluggish; we ran out of rice paper halfway through and had to track someone down for a refill. A fun meal overall, just needs a little more pep in the service step!

This shit was not bad. Fresh pork role fucking hit! You need to get on this if you are here. Rare…read morebeef pho was mid and broth isn't the absolute greatest but would come back for sure if I found myself hungry in this area. Big restaurant. -J I liked this restaurant, I thought I was in Toronto the whole time but it turns out we were in Hamilton. Pho was good but lowkey need more content like there was not a lot of beef and not as much noodle as I was expecting. Maybe bump up noodle content by 15% and like 10% more beef and it would've been stellar. Broth tasted good as hell but at the end of the day I'm here for the noodles and beef and they mostly delivered. Okay I'd recommend if you're in Hamilton. -G

I personally prefer the thicker style of vermicelli noodles, so the noodles weren't my favorite to begin with. The biggest letdown was the BBQ pork. The slices were cut so thin that they ended up dry and chewy, almost like pork jerky, and they lacked the smoky, savory flavor I was expecting. The shrimp was also underseasoned and didn't add much to the dish. The spring rolls were just okay as they're not bad, but nothing memorable. Overall, the bowl lacked depth and bold flavors, making it difficult to enjoy. Service was quite slow as compared to order Vietnamese restaurant. Unfortunately, it wasn't a meal I'd come back for.

My notes on Pho Hamilton: - A restaurant within a grocery…read morestore. - Free parking - Extensive menu - Very friendly staff - Returning customers - Willingness of staff to recommend dishes - Prompt service Food I ordered: - Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk: Strong coffee aroma and taste. Not overly sweet, which I like. - Appertizer Specialty: khai vi dac biet - A combination of fried cheese wontons, deep fried Spring rolls, fresh shrimp rolls, and battered shrimps. Came with 3 sauces for dipping. My mom loved the fresh shrimp rolls while I took a fancy to the cheese wontons. At $12.99, the app is good for up to 4 people. - Main: Bun mam - a vermicelli soup made of fermented fish broth. A favourite of the local Vietnamese. The concept is the same as fermented tofu. Unique smell, but taste good. An abundance of seafood such as bass fillet, squid, shrimps, fish balls etc. Yummy. Worth the $12.99. You can also choose different size bowls. If you are absolutely famished, go for the extra large. Coz it's huge lol. Yet another reason to visit Hamilton added to my list!!

I brought several of my friends with me during Family Day (yay for Asian supermarkets for being open on holidays). FOOD: 5/5 1. CT51: Grilled Beef with Fried Egg & Broken Rice: This is my GO TO dish. I rarely eat rice at any other Vietnamese restos. My friend (who is Vietnamese) who also got a Com Tam was really impressed: "wow, they actually use broken rice here" and then after the first few bites, "okay, this is authentic. This is what it should taste like." 2. P25: This is my boyfriend's go to. Never any complaints and he finishes everything. The pho never makes me nauseous like other places do. The veggies provided are always bright and fresh. SERVICE: 5/5 It is soooo nice having staff recognize you when you walk in. The service is always warm and friendly. Best price and quality for Vietnamese food in the area.
