A family owned business that has been a great addition to the Lake Forest community. My boyfriend and I come here at least 2 times a week. The name of this restaurant is fun and is probably why this place gets so much business. I order egg noodle and did not enjoy it as much. The vegetables were good, crispy and fresh tasting. I thought the broccoli was delicious. But overall I think I'm use to a thicker noodle and kind of threw off a bit. One word: Amazing! Food review: I had ordered the Pho combination prince bowl (Large) and I was extremely satisfied! I usually critique pho by portion size, broth flavor, and ingredient quality and Pho King Way has hit the nail on the head on all criteria. The meat was nice and tender, not over cooked and tough. Noodles were nice, soft with a little bounce,but not overcooked. Flavor of the broth was nice and beefy, with wonderful aromatic scents and flavor. Portion size for meat to noodle ratio was superb. Most pho restaurants go overboard with their sweetness, not this place! Staff review: There was an older man taking care of the front side of the restaurant and he was truly attentive and very kind. He made sure anything I needed was taken care of and I was helped right away! Seemed like there was an older lady in kitchen side handling the food, and all the other customer's food looked fantastic as well! If I had to eat here everyday for lunch to keep this place in business I would, and I will not take slander for the gentlemen lightly! Been going here for a bit so this is long overdue but so far right now it holds the title of king of oc pho to me. Food is decently priced for the portions provided and the food comes out promptly no matter what you order. Where I have reservations to give it a 4 let alone a 5 is the fact that at points you don't really know if it'll go right or wrong. For example one time I took my dad here gassing this place up only for the meat to come at half portion or on his be mostly tripe despite that it t was a house special. Another time portions were good but not seasoned and therefore was bland. Just a quicky. Consumer Alert - I'm not an expert on Pho I have met friends here on and off over the years. We did stop during Covid and now we went back for the first time in a long time. Spring rolls - cold, fresh, tasty shrimp. Sauce is great with it. Pho - I got the small bowl with fatty brisket. You can get up to two meats with the basic Pho bowl, but I just wanted the fatty brisket. The bowls came out to our tables in minutes. The small bowl is very good size and the Pho is served with a side of Thai basil, jalapeños, bean sprouts, sriracha and another sauce I am not sure of. Dumped it all into the bowl and waited a bit for the broth to cool down. It was delicious. I scooped it all up to the last drop. The broth was tasty and the brisket was excellent. I will be back. Only funny things about the place was one of the servers was very concerned we were not ordering while waiting for our last buddy to show up. The place was not full, but he came many times to take our order. I ordered the spring rolls and a drink to calm him down. Ended up ordering as the last buddy was stuck in SoCal traffic. Go. My husband, toddler, and I were craving pho and didn't want to drive out to garden grove so we decided to give this much closer place a try. It was absolutely delicious. My husband and I agreed that the broth and noodles were amazing! The service was great too! We didn't order any drinks since we had our own water, but the waiter was still nice enough to bring us cups of ice without us having to ask. This restaurant is tucked away in a business park section of Lake Forest. The decor is fairly common for a Vietnamese restaurant, sparse with Asian influence. The waiter was nice and accommodating. The sampler appetizer platter was good, with a bunch of different egg rolls, shrimp and wontons. Our dishes were good, but we didn't enjoy them as much as the appetizers. The filet rice dish was ok in flavor but the filet was tougher (perhaps overcooked or it was another cut of meat). The noodle bowl with different meats (can't recall the name but it's the prominently pictured option in the bowls section) was also just ok. It's a large serving of food, but the meats were fatty in some areas and all kind of tasted the same. Nothing was bad, but don't expect Westminster level flavor, I suppose. read more

I'm Vietnamese and I've been here 3x and service has always been good. I usually get spring rolls (they do it the proper way by proving shrimp AND pork) and a pho tai. It's a bit slow (but never empty) but I feel the location isn't the greatest and they just opened a few weeks ago. The prices are fair. Broth is actually flavorful without the need for hoisin and sriracha and the meat was soft/tender each time I've had it. It's been consistent. I'm not a a fan of the fact that Lake Forest has so many pho places and not any of them can get close to Westminster/Garden Grove taste. But this place is comparable. We've been coming to pho king way for years! Mainly because their food is delicious always hot and customer service is amazing. Kong is usually our main server and when they opened their new location we came running to see that he's running the whole front of the restaurant by himself and killing it! It's such clean and calm ambiance when you come in. Very welcoming! We forever will be customers here because the food is consist, better then most of the phos I tried in southern California (almost ever) and the services in both locations always makes us feel like family rather then customers! It's located in a big plaza with plenty of parking lots. Somebody greeted us when we first entered. Take order fast. Simple decors and a lot of tables and chairs. The Pho is good and price is cheap for quantity, quality and location. One thing I have to mention is, the iced tea here is $3.25/cup which is more expensive than most Viet restaurants. That is the only thing surprised me when I see the bill. Other than that, all good. Very good customer service. I'll be back when I have a chance to be around the area. read more

I was pretty impressed and satisfied with the pho here, considering my regular go-to pho is usually up in Garden Grove/Westminster area. The broth is light, just like our homemade pho. We ordered fried rice and com tam (broken rice) togo, and definitely happy with them also. There was only one older gentleman running around serving us and other tables while being cashier at the same time. He worked super hard, and super attentive and polite. Let me start with, the name is so creative! It's a great conversation starter! My husband and I went there for dinner mid week. Parking was easy to find. There were only a few people in the restaurant. We ordered chicken and beef pho and the food arrived relatively fast. Both dishes were delicious and not overly salty (unlike other pho places). The service was great and the server was attentive. My only complaint was the bathrooms. They were clean but not in good repair.
