Pros: Fast, tastes like pho Cons: Overpriced, VERY low portion, better Vietnamese and pho places literally right around the corner. They weren't like this before, I came back a year later thinking the serving was going to normal like any other pho place. No pho place should EVER be doing this.

Came here for some boba tea since it was convenient. Do not come here for boba milk tea. Here's the bad... - Barely taste any syrup - Boba was bland and mushy to the point it got stuck in the straw every sip I took. - milk tea tasted like it was watered down - NO toppings included with price - No a/c I asked the server if boba was included in the milk tea since the picture had boba. She hesitated, then said yes. So I assumed she wouldn't charge me $0.50 for toppings. After looking at my receipt, she charged for the toppings! The boba should at least be included when it's literally called boba tea on the menu otherwise it should be written as milk tea if you need to pay extra.

I come here pretty often, the food is Amazing and the service is fast. Everytime I dine in, it's never full which I like!

Honestly the food was just okay. I liked the gio cuon chay. I would have preferred with bun chay gio had more chay gio since I felt like the ratio was off but it average. It's decent if you live in the area & need some Viet food quickly. I usually give 3 stars for average places but the staff was really rude when I went and seemed very rushed and bothered that we were there despite coming in an hour before & leaving before the restaurant closed so I'm giving it 2 stars.

Superb wings. Pho is delish and best we had on East Coast. Service is awesome. Tables cleaned immediately, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Milk boba tea was just right. We were pleasantly impressed.

Cha gio & thit heo nuong.

Had the Cha gio & thit heo nuong. I was pleasantly surprised, considering the negative reviews. The thinly sliced pork was flavorful with nice grill marks. The egg roll that comes with was very tasty. The vermicelli bowl is full of fresh lettuce, carrots, sprouts, crushed peanut and cukes. What was missing was the fresh herbs that accompany every Vietnamese dish. Some basil and mint would have finished it properly. The nuoc cham could have used a bit more fish sauce to my personal taste. The name cracks me up.

However, the young male staff is rather rude and indifferent. First, off there is a Wi-Fi available "Caphe Guest" (see photo). I asked one staffer what the password was, because Caphe is in one of those sections of Old Town where wireless access, like Verizon, is notoriously poor. The guy gave me some garbled answer and walked away. Alrighty, so I asked another staffer and he said he didn't know what the password was and walked away. That leads up to my order of chicken pho. I asked for no cilantro and that same waiter repeated my request for no cilantro. But when the pho was brought to my table, the green in the pho looked suspiciously like cilantro. I asked the waiter about it. He looked at the pho and said it was not cilantro. I took a sip and quickly determined there was cilantro in the pho. When I tried to get my server's attention, as he was standing in back of the counter, he saw me and haughtily turned away. So, I took the pho up to counter and asked that my order be remade. To Caphe's credit, Caphe did correctly remake my order.. But the pho broth was brown and had an odd canned flavor. It just wasn't very good.

My vermicelli bowl was the standout--perfectly seasoned grilled pork with just the right amount of spice, fresh vegetables and herbs, crispy spring rolls, and the perfect balance of noodles and toppings. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The pho was just as good, with a rich, comforting broth and tender beef that really hit the spot. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and simple--nothing fancy, just a welcoming place that lets the food shine. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The flavor is amazing and so hearty yet refreshing. Also I am 99% sure my food came within minutes of ordering because I did not even get the chance to open my book. The way I rate pho, are two things, one, the noodles, and two, the broth's flavor. Noodles: Because nothing hurts more than a yummy broth with some overcooked noodles that breaks when you try to eat them. Pho Saigon Pearl is doing it right, their noodles are perfectly cooked, you can pick them up and they're not clumpy, they don't fall apart (literally God Bless) Broth: bone broth is soooo good for your overall health and every time when I am feeling slightly under the weather, I look for a good ole pho place for some yummy broth. Last night I brought a couple of friends over to the Sisters Thai in Alexandria ... because I had had good experiences in the past. We were seated at our table of four, and had to wait 20 mins to be served water from the start. That was unusual - and although the restaurant was busy it was not packed, so the delay was odd. We ordered the food which was great - high recommendations for the branzino, the crispy eggplant, the roti curry and the mango & sticky rice. The water service was challenging; at one point during the meal when a server came to do a refill, she spilled the water on the table near the food dishes - apologized - but didn't clean up! (It was not a few drops - it was a sizeable amount that warranted wiping up since our group had to reach over for the food dishes in the center). She took off after right after spilling it - and didn't come back! So I eventually caught the eye of another sever and asked for the water to be wiped down. The evening went on - the meal really noteworthy ... but water was clearly becoming more and more of an issue - and this was critical especially considering that the roti curry was spicy! After yet another 20 minutes of trying to catch the eye of anyone with a pitcher I had to get up and request water from the bar area. So although the evening was pleasant it was somewhat disruptive with this lack of coordination - which is really is a basic of any establishment. I would go back again for the food - although I'm disappointed that I brought friends along to try the restaurant and the service was not as expected. As I write this I want to add that if it was a one-off with a water delay I would understand - but it was consistently overlooked, without a spillage being wiped promptly that started to create a less than satisfactory experience. Thank you in advance to the Sisters Thai for more training for their staff on enhancing the customer experience.

Before we even walked into the restaurant, we were informed that the left entrance door had been broken for quite some time. Since we had a double baby stroller with us, getting inside was a bit of a challenge and not exactly the best first impression. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 3/5 Service - 3/5 Food - 3/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The restaurant feels a bit old and dated and could probably use some updating. Interestingly, while the dining room definitely shows its age, the ordering system is modern and up to date. The contrast between the two was pretty noticeable. Service - Service was just okay. This is more of a casual setup where customers place their orders at the counter and the staff bring the food out when it's ready. There wasn't really anything memorable, either good or bad, about the service experience. What We Ordered - -Spring Rolls (Good) -Pho Dac Biet (Special Beef Pho) - The flavor was good overall, but the broth was only lukewarm when it arrived. A bowl of pho really needs to be piping hot, so this took away from the experience. -Grilled Pork Rice Plate - The pork was a bit too salty for my taste and was just okay overall. Final Thoughts - This was an average dining experience. The food was decent, the service was adequate, and the atmosphere was nothing particularly special. Nothing stood out enough to make me want to go out of my way to return, but I also wouldn't discourage others from trying it if they're already in the area. There are simply other Vietnamese restaurants nearby that I would be more inclined to visit first.
