Food was great! Authentic Vietnamese food in the far northeast kingdom. Great owners. Right on the lake. Gorgeous views.

We were lucky this spot was still open after getting into town a bit late - we were seated right…read moreaway and even checked it was okay to order as they were closing in about 40 minutes. After a long travel day we were happy to have some delicious food. The space was clean and had plenty of room to sit. Our server was very kind and patient. I love Vietnamese food, especially noodle bowls, so I got the bun dac biet. Nate got the spicy curry and my friend got the tofu noodles. We also ordered the dumplings to share. The menu is large and has lots of vegetarian options. The bun dac biet was a large portion and I was starving, but I even had leftovers (that were great the next day). The noodles were tender and the sauce was flavorful. All the meat was cooked nicely, and I loved the crispy egg roll. If I lived nearby, this would be a go-to spot for me.

I really enjoyed this place! We walked here from the hotel we were at. After seeing all the…read morerecommendations for wonton soup I had to try it. To me the soup was to salty, but the wontons were delicious. So I cut them up with the meal. We shared a meal since hubs wasn't hungry. I cannot remember the name of the dish i had but it was chicken and ginger. It was delicious! I could really taste the ginger, but it wasn't overpowering. We also had pearl tea which was really yummy as well. I wanted to try some of the appetizers but I knew we wouldn't finish them all. The staff here ate very helpful and friendly and the restaurant is clean and well decorated. Check this one out if your in the area!

We stumbled upon this gem by chance. We drove out over an hour to specifically go to another…read moreVietnamese restaurant that's been on my Yelp List but they were closed even after we called days prior to confirm/checked online same day of their opening since it was the day after Thanksgiving. Pho Ly to the rescue! On a cold day their food and hospitality came to the rescue. What we ordered dining in: - Pho Dac Biet/Special Combination Soup (slices of rare beef, slices of beef blank, brisket, tendon, tripe in a beef broth with rice noodles) - Bo Kho/Vietnamese Beef Stew (beef flank, carrots, onions, cilantro, and scallion served with a choice of rice noodles or yellow noodles - we asked for a plain banh mi (bread) on the side for dipping) - Combination Platter (3 fried egg rolls, 3 shrimp rolls, 3 tiger rolls, served with sweet chili sauce or fish sauce) - Caphe sua da/Vietnamese Coffee with Condensed Milk What we ordered to go: - Another plain banh mi to enjoy with Thanksgiving left overs at home - Another Combination Platter to share with family - Mango Sticky Rice The Bo Kho comes with noodles but I forgot as ask for it to be excluded so it was a little bit much. Next time I will do that so I can enjoy the bread with the stew better. My husband and I agreed that the decor and ambiance of this restaurant reminded us so much of eateries we enjoyed in Vietnam. Everything was tasty and our server was such a kind, lovely man. We recommend this place and if we are ever back in the area we will surely be back!

This is a benefit you can count on when supporting small local businesses! The ambiance was limited as was the decor and space. The focus was definitely the tv on the wall. I liked the small window that could be seen from your seat where you watch the cooks preparing your food! The place was clean! Service was impeccable! A very young man helped us. When we finished our meal my date told him it was delicious ( he got the egg rolls and bbq beef with rice both he gave 10/10) and the young man asked what was our favorite. I found that to make our experience very personable and have not been asked that question before. My date said the bbq rice was the best and the young man said he would share the information with his boss and the cooks. I rated each dish separately on the photo captions so check those out! Overall I would say I unfortunately was not a fan of my two dishes but my date really like both of his. Thus the reason for the 3 star rating. However keep in mind my date gave it 5 stars and I gave it 2 so if I could give half stars this would be a 3.5 star review overall. I still highly recommend you go and try this place! Support local! Everyone has different tastes and they deserve a chance for you to judge for yourself!
