The Green Mountain Special
Anthony S.

Pleasantly surprised by how good the beer and pizza was. We ordered both the Tay and Green Mountain special pizzas, as well as the Hungarian soup and Dave special salad. Hill Farmstead on tap was unreal. I can't wait to come back to try their sandwiches and other pizza options!

Everything about this place is great! The atmosphere, the attitude of employees and the food is absolutely phenomenal here! It may a little pricey, but is completely worth it for what they serve. All local ingredients out of their gardens! Go there if you've n ver been. I never been lucky enough to go on an event night, but som day I'll make it there I'm sure and I know it will be worth it as well!! CHECK IT OUT!!!

After a long drive from Boston we decided to try this pizza place with a recommendation from airbnb owner. We ordered Calzone, Breadsticks, N.K.E garden style pizza, Veggie Classic Pizza, Stone Pizza without Bacon and Chicken Wings. All the things ordered were good and delicious. It was good and satisfying food.

Every time I'm remotely in the area of Parker pie, I stop in. The pizza is always awesome, and the beer menu is perfect. A great spot to get a couple of beers and pizzas with friends

After hearing so much about Parker Pies we decided to give it a try. We got 2 pizzas, a plain and a Vermont style one with apples. Saw others ordering salads and those looked pretty good. Both pizzas were good, but I've had better. Definitely an interesting place, it is right across the street from a farm..and it smelled very farmy the entire time. But I guess that is to be expected considering the location. Our server was very polite. Good variety of local beers. Glad we tried it but in no rush to go back.

Food was incredible, friendly attentive staff, great ambience, amazing beer list! Highly recommend!

Wings were overcooked to the point the bones were showing, dry and hardly had any sauce at all. We should have ordered pizza instead!

The restaurant is large with a bar on one side and wall of picture windows on the other. We seated ourselves and the waitress came over immediately and provided us with menus. We ordered a beer for each of us. My wife ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. We also ordered a side salad. The salads were good with all fresh ingredients. They were also very large for a side salad. The sandwiches arrived and they featured a thin piece of chicken with a large amount of fried batter on all sides. There was too much batter and the chicken was very dry. There was sauce but not nearly enough. We both did not care for the sandwiches and my wife left much of hers on the plate. There were two positives to the visit. The service was excellent as was the view.

Luckily there were only 3 tables occupied and few people at the bar but i could imagine if it was a full house. Service would be down. Ample parking space. Food is fair-great. Serving size is good. Price for food is fair. Hopefully they could add more virtual golf room to cater walk ins.

This brewery was known to be superior 8 or so years ago. Us hop heads in CT dreamed about it but never tasted. We were curious, their location was intriguing. It also made us skeptical. So the snow is falling, it's approaching 4pm, the drive brings you up a hill on the dirt road. Add beer to the uncertainty of the moment, it was perfect for anxiety, excitement and first tastes. Draft one was a nitro stout. Yeah, like Guinness but... UNBELIEVABLE. Just that good. Then an IPA close to their origin. Simple. Again, UNBELIEVABLE. Easy sell, I bought each 4 pack available. Asked for a restaurant in Montpelier. The Three Penny Taproom was... UNBELIEVABLE. (Chickpeas, Chicken Nuggs and Hill Farmstead all over the place.) Of course the brewery guys recommended it, and the gas station at Willey's in Greensboro. So we survived the "brief flurry", and a Taproom extraordinaire. The beer is ready for a Connecticut Christmas and will be compared to the beer from Burlington, Stowe and Deerfield. All great brews. The anticipation of enjoying Hill Farmstead beer was just as exciting as the trip and first taste. So, If you need a trip, find them. No complaining about the distance and remoteness, please. It's where they are. Yeah, you can find the beer in other places in state. I look forward to getting it at those spots. I look forward to seeing the brewery in the summer!
