This place was ok but not the best. I'm giving it a 3 because it stays open till 4a and it's very spacious. SERVICE: not bad but when we asked to substitute tofu soup for salad the waiter said "impossible, it's $8 and a large portion". We understood that it was another menu item so we asked can you just bring us a smaller portion he said, No! So, he brought out the Katsu Chicken and Rice without salad. PORTIONS: good size portion for your money FOOD: it was ok, seafood noodle bowl had artificial seafood. I would have preferred real seafood but that's my preference. I am originally from Chicago. As a result, the concept of Pho is new to me. After I learned how to pronounce that and "Puyallup" correctly I have grown to like one more than the other. No offense, Meridian is just too damn congested. Of all the Tacoma area Pho places I have tried, this might be my favorite. Unfortunately, the area does contain groups of wandering youth who have affection for vehicle prowls. Therefore, I would not leave anything of value inside my vehicle. However, they do have a generous amount of parking. Therefore, it is not an issue finding a space. In addition to being beautiful, the staff is always accommodating, and hospitable. Sorry, I have a weakness for Asian women. As a result, if you like the blonde haired- blue eyed all American kinda gal, this might not apply to you. The food is always consistent and comes in generous portions. Then there is the bubble tea. I tend to not frequent Tacoma while I am not working. However, I have found myself wanting their bubble tea even on days that I am off work. So much so, I have even considered driving there for that. A dining experience so great that it would even compel me to consider driving to Hosmer on a day off deserves a five-star review! read more

Went there hoping the food quality went up. Nope. Big fat nope. Broth still gross and greasy. No flavor. I like to get pho with broth that has flavor because i like to drink it especially when its chilly outside. The noodles were fine but the meat was not cooked throughly and i ordered the BRISKET pho. I do not eat RAW or ANY PINK meat. The bean sprouts and Jalapeno was fine but didn't come with enough jalepenos. They also are very stingy on how many hoison and siracha sauce cups they give you if you order to go. As i really enjoy hoisin in my soup. The bubble tea i still REALLY enjoy from here. I got the bun thit nuong(noodle salad bowl with pork and shrimp. I didnt expect much being from California and vietnamese I had my fair share of good vietnamese food but it was surprisingly really good and a healthy portion too l. I usually feel hungry after ordering this item but I felt satisfied but it wasn't too much or too heavy. Fast service ,clean . Especially for 1 in the am after getting off work late. Came in 4/3/18 @ approximately 740pm. 2 staff members barely cared to greet us as we seated ourselves however, they did manage to ask us if we were two to eat there . After waiting for 5 minutes with no menues yet or even been askes what we would like to drink a couple walk in with a newborn in a car seat, they sat down and immediatly both staff members greated them as one of the two came over to their table with two menues immediately. Thats when I decided to go ask the staff member why we never got our menues yet she gave me a cold shoulder and said "whaaattt" So we just walked out. Best Pho in Tacoma! I love the ambience, the staff is amazingly welcoming and waiting time is so short. Me and my mom have been going here quite a few times already. I've been to a lot of Pho cafes around our area but nothing comes close to this Pho cafe. I always order their Chicken Pho or Pho Ga and their Green Tea Bubble Tea which is also delicious. This is my favorite pho place around here! The fact that they're open until 4am most nights is a huge bonus too. The soups are all amazing with lots of meat. The spring rolls are so fresh and loaded with carrots and cucumber which is a nice change of pace from the ordinary shrimp, lettuce, noodle spring rolls. The egg rolls are good too. Of course, I always get a bubble tea to finish the meal, which are amazing too. Besides all the food, the place is always clean, the staff always super attentive and nice. Great spot for sobering up yes the service isnt that great but what restaurant thats open till 4am servicing a bunch of drunks is? Yes the staff isnt the that attentive but the pho thats served probably outshines that. Soup base has the perfect amount of saltiness and the noodles are perfectly blanched. The special spicy pho is so good! When I lived in north tacoma I would drive the 15 minutes to get pho here. The price is slightly higher than some other local places, but that spicy pho is so incredible. Also you can order a side of kimchi for super cheap and it's an incredibly generous amount. There was a child in the dining room!! front is just as bad the waitresses arguing didn't get a menu until 20 minutes after i sat down. Didn't get water. First, this review is for the new Pho Ever in Gig Harbor. My wife and I were craving some salty noodly goodness and I decided to try this place since it opened a few days ago. The plan was for me to get two to-go bowls of flank steak pho and a pair if fresh rolls. My first observation was that the floor was slippery. Given that this place has been open all of a week I don't understand that. Also, the pretty teenage girl at the till was wearing high-waisted pants; what's up with that??? And the teenage guy didn't know anything and only wanted to talk with the girl. Anyway, the fresh rolls were just OK although they were selected from about fifty in a cooler. The broth of the pho wasn't very hot, or very flavorful, and the steak had HUGE streaks of fat in it. And the little baggies of sprouts, basil and (3) slices of jalapeno were very small. The menu is pretty impressive for a hole-in-the wall pho joint and I look forward to getting into it more deeply. But I doubt I'll be revisiting the pho. read more

First off let me say that I've been coming to this place since they've opened back in 2012. Yesterday evening I went there to have dinner and I had experienced the worst customer service I've ever experience there. A lady went up to go pay for her meal and asked her why the so-called manager not even the owner she's the manager overcharged her the manager then told her that this is her restaurant and she can run it anyway she wants to and for her to get out and she's kicking her out. Another man went up with his wife to try to talk to the manager and just advise her that she's being very unprofessional and very rude to the customer. The manager then told the man that it was not his business and he could leave if he didn't like it this is her restaurant and she runs it anyway she wants to. I then proceeded to get up from my table without even eating my food and advised her that due to her being unprofessional I also will be leaving and will pay for my food but I would like to speak with the manager, or the owner because I know she was not the owner of the restaurant I've been coming here for so long. She then proceeded to call the police on me and say that I refuse to pay for my meal when I had $100 bill in my hand That she saw. I then told her I would be happy to pay her soon as I got the owners information so I could speak with them about all of this she then refused again so I paid for my meal went outside remembered that I forgot my keys at my table went back in and she was talking about me in to all of the other customers who are in the restaurant. I will never get my business here again and I suggest everybody else to stay away from this racist restaurant read more

The servers were very nice, but during lunch it got so busy they had a hard time keeping up with orders. I plan on visiting again to see if I get a different experience. First thing I noticed was the new menu since the last time I came here over a year ago. The food was terrible. My friend ordered yakisoba (noodle dish like chow mein) and the server brought her plate out that had stir fried pork and veggies and NO NOODLES! Then we bring it to her attention and she said the cook forgot and then she brings out a plate of cold noodles and expects my friend to mix it in with the rest of her food, which is already cold. My other friend ordered 2 gyoza appetizers and short ribs. The short ribs looked like they had sliced in half leaving the meat super thin. I ordered 2 items just to be sure I had something to eat in case I didn't like their chinese food. I ordered almond chicken and specifically asked how it was prepared to make sure it was what I wanted. She assured me it was deep fried with gravy and topped with almonds. My plate arrives and it looks like sweet and sour chicken with pineapple chunks and bell peppers. Well, they had one more shot to please me- chicken wings and fries. I figured it was simple enough to not mess up. Chicken wings looked old and smelled like they were fried in old oil. First and last time at this place. The woman said that it doesn't say vermicelli on the order so I rechecked my order history and it was specifically said vermicelli on the order. This place rules. Their spring rolls are incredibly fresh and tasty. I've been to numerous Vietnamese restaurants in the Tacoma area and the spring rolls from this place are probably one, if not the best around. Their Phö is pretty damn good as well, I always get flank and it's never disappointed me. Pretty expensive bubble tea though, an extra $0.50 for tapioca?
