Chicken and rice.

The food is absolutely amazing. Like the chicken and rice is so beyond good. I wish I could eat a 100 thousand calories worth of it and not gain weight.

Pork Fried Eggrolls

We've been eating here for years and years. We bring all of our out of town friends and family here when they come visit too. This restaurant has been a mainstay on Sarasota Main Street for as long as I can remember. The Chicken Pho is always phenomenal w/ the homemade egg noodles -item #58 on the menu- and the homemade lemonade is a must have! We always order the pork fried egg rolls as an appetizer.

Pros: Good authentic asian flavors. The pho broth was rich and the meat tender. Spring rolls were flavorful and the peanut sauce was on point. The interior was clean and lively. Cons: only one bowl size for pho. whipped cream on thai iced tea was hard to dissolve and made the drink too heavy. The bean sprouts still had their brown roots attached.

Pho with beef broth, rice noodles, and rare beef

Pretty good A few days ago we went to a Vietnamese restaurant in Tampa and I ordered their Pho with beef broth, rice noodles, and rare beef. I realized I didn't know much about eating Pho. After watching a few videos the next day, I felt ready to try it again. Fast forward a couple of days, and we headed to Pho Cali this evening for more Pho. So now I'm a newly minted expert. Well, maybe not, but I did much better by using my chopsticks and oddly shaped spoon together. Didn't even drip anything on my clothes this time. I had also learned about the basil, sauces, and the lime. I ordered the same entrée as I had in Tampa. Unfortunately, the experience, now that I know what to look for, wasn't as good. We both agreed the broth wasn't as rich this time. Instead of squeeze bottles of sauces, I got a small dish with a small amount of sauce. I'm sure I could have asked for more, squeeze bottles would have been better. Then I could have put some in the Pho and had some in a dish to dip my sliced beef in. The twigs of basil looked sad compared to what we had in Tampa. Instead of lime, we got lemon.

As soon as we walked in the door, we knew we had come to the right place. Though it is a no-frills, minimalistic establishment, the food is 11/10 delicious and the awards hanging on the walls confirm it. Our server had a no-nonsense, honest attitude about him and pretty much told us what to order and he had great recommendations. We enjoyed the shrimp spring rolls, pork pan fried dumplings, and chicken pho ga accompanied by Singha beer. We really enjoyed our meal here and would definitely come back!

The quail was surprisingly good and I would recommend. The pho on the other hand had a fragrance after taste that was okay. The service was good and my water was refilled. And the restaurant itself was clean.

Started off with the fresh shrimp spring rolls, then ordered their house special broken rice, and then coconut chicken. All the dishes were terrific, and I highly recommend for authentic Vietnamese food.

Trio fried rice. It has it all and was delicious

First time stopping in for a late lunch (2PM). I'd give this place a 3.5 due to a few factors. It's downtown so great location and tons of parking everywhere. The food was actually quite good and tasty. The trio of fried rice had the right amount of seasoning and the Pho had fresh grilled pork and shrimp - Yummy The negatives were the atmosphere - I get that due to COVID, there are no menus, but why would you put a 4-6 page menu under the plastic covering on the table. We literally had to walk around the entire round table to see the whole menu. Not optimal and doesn't make sense. Duh! Service - the main manager there was just rude and a hot mess. The rest of the staff were very nice, but clearly "afraid" of him. Communication skills completely lacking. I appreciate fresh and good quality food but wow it took almost 30 mins to make 3 of the same dishes and 1 fried rice. Prices are a bit expensive given that they are downtown so understandable. I'll try it again, but boy do they need work on some things here.

Broth/flavors? Amazing. Portions? Plenty. Service? Quick. Bowl to put a to go order in? Needs work lol. Some of the people ordering to go orders are in hotels. I improvised but def have been to places that accommodate soup to go orders better.

Excellent Food, Disappointing Service While the food was…read moreexcellent, the service was unfortunately one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I've had. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome. I was standing near other guests waiting to be seated when an employee abruptly approached me with a rude tone, "Can I help you?" Rather than feeling greeted, I immediately felt as though my presence was an inconvenience. My waiter seemed visibly unhappy about taking my order, despite my being polite and keeping the interaction brief. After my food arrived, not a single person checked on me to ask how my meal was or whether I needed anything. The next time I saw him was when my check was brought to the table, without so much as a question about my experience. Different employees handled the rest of it. A different person took my card and a different person brought it back. When I placed my card in the payment tray, an employee took it and later reached around me to set it back on the table without saying a single word. No "thank you," no "have a nice day," or even a simple acknowledgment. What made this particularly upsetting was hearing employees warmly tell other guests to "have a good day" while I received none of that same courtesy. I genuinely felt rushed, disregarded, and as though I didn't belong there. It reached a point where I felt embarrassed simply for being a customer. I also couldn't help but notice that I was one of the few white patrons in the restaurant. I don't want to assume that race played a role in how I was treated, but the noticeable difference between my experience and the treatment of other guests left me questioning why I was made to feel so unwelcome. I came in hoping to enjoy a good meal, not to feel like an inconvenience for being there. Upon leaving, I said thank you to the first waiter and the host. I was ignored both times. Good food can bring customers through the door, but the way they're treated determines whether they'll ever return. Unfortunately, despite how much I enjoyed the food, the service left me with no desire to come back.

We both had the chicken ginger & very much appreciated the amount of different veggies in it & the chicken was nice & tender. Wish it had more sauce & heat. We ordered hot & it was like medium to us. Seems like every Thai place is afraid to give you heat! I'd come back again for sure when in the area.

I have been eating pho since the mid-80's and have tried it in many states and a few countries, too. I was starting to feel discouraged because I had struck out a couple of times as I searched my area for a good place, the last being Demi's Noodle House, which served a terrible soup IMO. Thankfully, Pho Street came through! They have a nice building, a clean restaurant, and their servers were all extremely nice. No less than 3 people checked on me to make sure I was doing ok. The soup was served piping hot, the noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was excellent. I did ask for rare beef and it came a little overdone, but not bad at all. Next time I'll ask for it raw in the hopes that it comes on a separate plate. One thing I think can be improved on is the lemonade. It didn't taste like the fresh, homemade lemonade that you find in most Vietnamese restaurants, it tasted like it was from a machine. Beyond that, I'll be back to Pho Street a lot, probably even in the next day or two! Thanks for the great food and service!
