My husband and I ate lunch here at the recommendation of our nail technicians who said it was the best Vietnamese restaurant in area with generous portions. They were right!! It's super clean and updated. We love the smaller, family run restaurants, especially the ethnic international places. They all seem so happy to share their food and culture with us. We started with crab rangoon, they were good, the same style sold in most Asian restaurants. our meals were Chicken fried rice along wit pork and noodles. I regret being unable to post a positive review of Little Saigon Bistro. There is no ambience. It looks like an aged dinette, which if I remember correctly it was about 20 years ago. Service was provided by a man who appeared to be the operator supported by his young son who tried hard but was over his head. The food, with the exception of the surprisingly memorable egg rolls, was meh! The broth was watery and tasteless. The proteins were indistinguishable one from the other. We were hoping for a new favorite Vietnamese spot. We will stay with Main Street for quality and service. Sorry. read more

The pho I had was good.itvwas generous with meat and tripe. The broth was good but the noodles stuck together more than I hoped. The boss' grilled shrimp vermicelli was very good. They have the best clay pot I ever eat in the area!! I actually wanted to eat grilled pork with rice then I saw this clay pot in the menu. I came a little bit late and at first they wasn't sure if they can serve this after 7pm because it takes a while to prepare the dish (like about 20-25mins) but they did. They hung up on us because we were slow to order. We called back and the guy said we had an old menu and told my wife to go on the website and order. Tried that. Terrible website, couldn't figure out how to order on it so called back and ordered by the numerical designated codes next to the items. The grilled pork and eggroll over vermicelli is served with pickled carrots, cucumbers and lettuce. The inside of the eggroll is a bit mushy tho. The massive plate of pork chop was yummy. Sara and her family no longer own this wonderful pho place. It was sold to a family relative which is no big deal except when I was sick and needed a regular size pho bowl and spring rolls. I didn't check my receipt until I got home and realized that the total bill = $29.24. Per the menu, it should have been $24 + sales tax. I paid with cash too! The portions have diminished as well. The place looked quite run-down, but it didn't bother me. Smelled terrible in the place, like a urinated back alley. I should have left right there. Unfortunately the food was very bland. The broth was like water, no flavor whatsoever. Asked for spicy chilly oil and was given a tiny amount, they don't even leave it on the table. I have to say we got the large bowl and that was massive, with plenty of ingredients and noodles, but again, only chicken broth available and so weak that wasn't even funny. We also ordered the spring rolls and they were completely tasteless. Their peanut butter sauce was also the worst I ever tried in a Vietnamese restaurant. Prices are expensive. Had a perfect lunch today with great service and amazing food. My friend and I both had the vermicelli (bun) plates--hers with chicken, mine the combo of several proteins and egg roll. Delicious and a portion big enough to take home for a second meal. The best part was that I had really been craving a banh mi sandwich. But the waiter explained that they weren't ready yet because the bread was frozen. When he saw my disappointment, he surprised us with a complimentary sandwich to share during our meal. Excellent Pho I've recently tried to learn a little about Pho, like how to eat it without getting it on my clothes and what the extra plate of stuff and sauces are for. We went to a great Vietnamese restaurant in Tampa and I realized I didn't do well eating with sticks and an oddly shaped spoon. This visit to Little Saigon Bistro was great. All the various parts of the dish were there, the dish with bean sprouts and basil, lime slices, and Hoisin and Sriracha sauces in squeeze bottles. I've learned to use the chopsticks in one hand while simultaneously wielding the spoon in the other, and I give myself 5 stars for effort. I also give Little Saigon Bistro 5 stars for serving an excellent Pho Tai. It quickly arrived at our table steaming hot, our server available for any questions or help we needed, like getting a fork for my wife. I liked the place, I thought it was nicely spaced out with only 11 tables. We were there just as the western setting sun was beating on west facing windows, so arriving customers including us were seated over at the other side. Good background music played. On a whim, I was deeply graving Spicy Beef Pho. The closest restaurant was Little Saigon Bistro; so I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered take out for me and my kids. I bought my kids B2 and me the P2. Wow! The B2 was so flavorful and delicious! Super fresh greens and great seasoning and dressings. The Pho was incredible! It hit the spot, and I loved the different textures and vibrant flavors. Everything was fresh and amazing! We will definitely be going back for some more. Update: We went to eat in at Little Saigon, and we were a bit disappointed. Just little things like there were no appetizer plates, there were no knives just forks and spoons offered, service was slow though it wasn't busy, my husband's chicken meat for B2 had quite a bit of cartilage unlike before for take out, and there was a giant TV playing not the most kid friendly music videos. The Pho was still amazing. I would return but just for Pho take out.
