Soup base not that great, weirder even, busman/waiter told me not to leave tips since they're not getting any anyway. Overall weird experience. read more

Ever since finding this place we go out of our way to eat here often. Love the pho, it's so delicious and fresh tasting with the added basil, jalapeños and sprouts. The portion is large and they always provide an extra little bowl for my three year old son to share with me. We do always get the egg rolls too which are tasty. My husband gets the grilled pork sandwich (bunh mi) and raves about it every time. The staff is super friendly and this is just an overall pleasant place to go to! read more

I have to say I was not impress by this place. The food taste ok, service was really slow. They got my order wrong 3 times, servers never came back to check on us. I had to flagged them down to get more water. I order pho, the bean sprouts they brought out was rotten, it has black slimy stuff towards the bottom of the plate. read more

Well decided to stop by on friends recommendation. I likely would not visit again but don't let my review deter you. The veggi egg roll was good but tasted like it was fried in the same oil with fish. The pork wrap is delicious. Nice fresh. Really fresh. I had Pho 2. The meat was way too fatty for me. The broth was really nice and if you add the jalapeño for kick it's quite good. Aside from the Meath the veggies were nice and fresh, great portion size. Everyone is super nice and friendly. Cleanliness could be an issue. The place is defiantly worth a Pho visit:) read more

Shrimp spring rolls were not fresh! Forgot to put the pork and cilantro in! Rice paper what is rubbery, Chicken Pho was pretty bland! I will try the one in West Allis to see if it's better! I make these foods at home a lot better, oh boy! read more

Good food, I had the fried calamari and an order of shrimp soup. Good portion size with the calamari and it came with a tasty cream sauce on the side. Shrimp soup was filling but not enough shrimp. I will definitely come back. Service a bit slow but I wasn't in a hurry. With the meal, appetizer, a couple beers and tip... $41 for myself. read more

There is just something so comforting about a steaming bowl of delicious pho! My son and I absolutely LOVE this place, we've been regulars for almost 2 years. We have tried most of the other pho places in the area and we think Pho Cali is the best! We always get the egg rolls and either the shrimp or rare steak pho. We are NEVER disappointed with the service or food. read more

This place was fantastic, best Pho I've had in Wisconsin. The service and atmosphere is an upgrade from the usual Pho establishments. Spreading the word to get this place more clientele and avoid losing this gem. It's right off 27th across from Target. Do yourself a favor and don't miss trying this place out, you certainly won't regret it. read more

Sigh. I passed up several other Viet restaurants en route to this place and am sorely disappointed. I ordered the Mango Salad w/ Shrimp as appetizer, Pho, and a Mung Bean Milk Tea. The Mung Bean tea was served immediately and tasted great! My major gripe with the milk tea is with the boba. The bobas were slightly hard, stuck together, and had no taste whatsoever. Having recently returned from a trip to Cali where every place had perfectly chewy honey boba, it was saddening. Next, they brought out the mango salad. I was expecting something refreshing, but what they handed me was a plate of shredded unripe green mango and tiny crumbled up pieces of dried shrimp. No where on the menu did it mention that it was dried shrimp - and in the past I've had mango salad with tiger shrimp so this was sorely disappointing (ESPECIALLY for the hefty $9.99 price tag) The only redeeming quality of this place was the pho. I'm not a pho connoisseur by any means but the flavor of the broth definitely was flat in comparison to some other places I've been to. There were no hints of star anise whatsoever. That said, it was still hearty and filling. I did run across the same issue that another reviewer had. The server asked me if I could tip in cash and that they don't get the tips when paying by card. What? Is the owner stealing from the waiters? read more

This place is a legit Vietnamese restaurant. This is coming from a CA Viet chick. And when they say Pho Cali they are truly on par with the Viet food you can get in CA. Not only do they have pho but they have banh beo, banh xeo, banh cuon and more. Not only do they offer it but they do it fresh. I will definitely be back to eat the rest of the menu items. read more

Came here again :) today. .. This place is pretty awesome! The owner gave us 2 Thai boba milk tea just because we were new to the city. Tea was really good and the Pho was phonomenal again. . The spicy beef noodle soup was really good also. We will be back for dinner :) to try their rice dishes read more

My go to Pho place in Milwaukee! The pho is fantastic! I get the large pho special. It has tender beef and steak with authentic Viet meatballs. You can taste the broth has been made with love and it's very flavorful! The broth is not water down like other places around! The beef and steak is not dry, but it is tender and marinated! They have lots of authentic Vietnamese dishes and drinks you can't find around the area. When you see Vietnamese people all around the restaurant, you know this is the place to be! The authentic Vietnamese drinks are great here too! Also, they have crawfish from Louisiana now. read more

This is my first time here Despite the fact that this place is a bit out of the way for me (I'm from Chicago), I will be coming back! I ordered seafood pho and their spring spring rolls and was completely blown away by the great flavor. I was full but kept wanting more and more. If youre in or near Mikwaukee, come here. It is Highly recommended. read more

Probably the best Pho I've had in a very long time--especially here in MKE. Ordered the Pho Cali Special for takeout and it came with big, fresh cuts of meat and tons of veggies and sauces. I will definitely be ordering from them again! read more

Love their chicken PHO. one of the best in the town. been their many times, must check it out. not a fancy place but food taste awesome.

This was my first time dining here and it will most definitely not be my last. We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant, seated and water was on the table before I could even remove my purse. Exceptional service! I order a large pho with rare steak and meatballs. The broth was flavorful, meat was tender and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I can still smell that divine pho now, so aromatic and addictive. The thai iced tea was delicious, too! Lastly, I loved that the staff was so nice and answered any questions we had. I can't wait to go back and try the bánh mì. read more

We used to eat here often, now there's not a low enough scale for how bad the place has become. No cars in the parking lot during the dinner hour should have been a huge red flag. The place was deserted, no one came to eat the whole time we were there. The beef broth egg noodle "mystery meat" soup was inedible. Not to mention how small their soup bowls have become and yet the prices haven't shrunk. Spent most of our time swatting flies buzzing around our table. We were never served our appetizer we ordered and yet charged for it. Nice try guys! I'll give this place one year tops to stay open. Just awful, we will never go back. read more

I have been by this place a million times without stopping and gotta say, just found my new spot. Service was excellent. Got a table as soon as we walked in. Servers were attentive and polite. I never had to call for their attention. They're on their game. As for the food, AMAZING. I got the spicy lemongrass chicken. #C13. It was fantastic. Chicken was tender and flavorful. The rice was done perfectly. I forgot, but the prawn spring rolls were excellent as well. So was the dipping sauce. I know not Chinese, but I just got back from HK and I have been craving real, legit, tasty, authentic food from that side of the marble. I found it tonight. Hit the spot. Got an order to go as well. Check out this spot. You won't regret it. read more

I think the Pho Ga and the Spring rolls are very authentic and the portions are generous. Admittedly, the English competence is poor, but I have no complaint with that as long as I make sure that my order is understood. We are a nation of immigrants and that's enriching. It also makes for authentic ethnic flavors. Next time I will try a Banh Mih. read more

The pho is amazing here, the only downfall is the customer service is not on point. Waited a while to get water. Sometimes you'll find hair in your food as well. For that reason I give 3 stars. read more

I'm not hating on this as it is known to be the spot for Milwaukee Pho place but I've been here 3 times and it either had hair in my Pho or hair in my Springrolls. Hands down best pho in the Milwaukee area. Owners and all employees are super nice. Service is great. Their Pho is the best and I've tried many pho shops before but there's no consistency unlike Pho Cali. If you want great service, affordable and delicious food. I definitely recommend!!! read more

The food was great but the service was very, very slow. It took about 15 minutes before we put in our order and it took another 40 minutes just to get our food. Although it may have been a mistake, there were 3 groups of people who came in after us that were served before us. As for the food it was very delicious and flavorful. I just can't imagine waiting this long again and will not be back. read more

Fantastic! I didn't have the heart to give this place four stars even though my only complaints are that they don't give you enough tripe in the pho, and the boba isn't the best. This place is otherwise, well worth your time. #delicious read more

Pho Cali - Taro Smoothie and eaten p1 in the background. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

My hubby & I went to grab a quick dinner on our way home. Literally 5:00pm not one table at the restaurant.. a few take out and multiple people working. We walked in, they told us to sit anywhere. We sat down one of the guys brought us menus. They gave us about 2 mins to look at the menu before asking if we were ready to order.. so I just ordered the A1 which are the grilled pork spring rolls as our appetizers while we look over the menu I also Asked for some hot tea while the guy walked away.. as he got half way from our table he started cursing at us in Vietnamese.. basically saying like wtf.. F.U.. still no other customers.. took ten mins to get hot tea.. figured when he dropped off the tea we will place our entrees .. NOPE... when he put the tea cups and pot on the table.. he just walked away as if we didn't exist.. 20 mins passed.. still no spring rolls, our dinner entrees not taken yet and the best part... NO CUSTOMERS, NO NEW TABLES.. NO NEW TAKE OUT ORDER... just a rude miserable unhappy employee who got mad, cursed out his only customers thinking we wouldn't understand all because we weren't ready to order on his time.. never again will we step foot in there.. I can't wait for the new Vietnamese restaurant up the street to open up... I'm sure they'll treat customers better then this place.. Oh and to end this review.. we walked out with our dignity & some warm flavorless tea.. read more

This is a dinky little Vietnamese restaurant. The prices were a bit high for Vietnamese food, but I have to say the portion size made up for it. The Pho was very good. The beef bun was also good but not great. Wish they gave us more sauce for the bun but They had no problem giving me another cup. Women Bathroom was clean. Men's bathroom was the size of a janitors closet. Parking lot is a little worn down. read more

We were very satisfied with the quality of food at Pho Cali when we stopped by on our drive back to Chicago. Their banh mi is delicious and huge (foot-long!). We also had pho and spring rolls, which were both quite tasty. The Thai tea wasn't our favorite, but this place is solid overall. read more

The best pho I had since I moved to Wisconsin. Reminds me of the West coast. The broth was authentic and really delicious. I gave four stars just because the food is excellent and mean very, very good! I had P2 a beef Pho, my wife a vegetarian rice dish and some egg rolls. The egg rolls are definitely worth the visit alone. My Pho was cooked perfectly! So much flavor. I added some chili paste and it was nicely spiced. My wife had some of the exact same rice before and it wasn't the same this time but still very good. Service was quick and fast. Now the bad is that the table smelled like it was washed with a dirty rag. The waiter was so impatient and hurried us to order. You have to go get your own containers for left overs and don't bother waiting for the bill just go get it. They ran out of noodles for another family so they left. As for us the food made up for it all! You know diversity has to be understood and not every food joint is going to be exactly how you want it to be, so I kind of understand their personality differences here so it was OK. read more

The food was good but I'm taking a star off because the restaurant was so dirty! The floor was so filthy, my shoes were actually sliding around on the grease. The servers were attentive and we never waited long for anything. We started with the spring rolls, which were fresh and the dipping sauce was tasty, but they were missing all the fresh herbs inside which was disappointing. The star of the show was the pho noodle bowl. We got the shrimp one because we were a little leery of the meat options (tripe and tendon were too adventurous for my husband). The broth was phenomenal! I had the lemongrass chicken stir fry, which was yummy; I would definitely order that dish again. My stir fry came with a bowl of broth which honestly might have been the best part of my meal; it warmed my soul! I think it was chicken broth and it had cilantro and scallions in it, that's it but it was delicate with a touch of sweetness. Next time I have a cold I'm getting this soup! read more
