This is my favorite pho place in chico. Portions are huge and the food is very fresh! The boba they have is delicious.

I love vietnamese food. Particularly the noodle bowls. They're so filled with great things for you: electrolyte filled broth, sprouts, peppers, noodles, meat. There's no way to not get filled up from having it. Even a small size. I have eaten vietnamese out of town but never in my hometown of Chico. The first place I found and chose to try was this place. As expected, vietnamese food feels similar at most places you go, although you will find some out there that are unique. This place...it's just routine vietnamese food. But that's not a bad thing. Because vietnamese ain't broke, so don't fix it. The portion for my small bowl was amazing. Nice sized bowl, portions of meat were enough to be happy with, and plenty of noodles. Hot and fresh tasting. Got my side of sprouts and peppers without having to ask. In fact, the staff brought me everything I wanted without me having to ask! Sprouts right away in the very minute I sat down, my meal was ready in under five minutes, table had all the sauces I like to use, and they brought me water right away. These people know what a customer requires. I appreciate that. Paying is easy and modern as well. Seems everyone today is into the Apple iPad card readers. Quick and easy and out the door. The only downside would be that some of the staff doesn't speak english so don't expect to get complex questions answered sometimes. The young guy walking around is the one the ask. Coming from the south bay area, I have tried a lot of pho. This is by far the worst pho i have ever tasted. There was absolutely no flavor in the broth, small portioned and utterly disappointing. The spring rolls were sloppily rolled together, but still taste ok. I cannot get past the lack of flavor though, had to load the whole soup bowl with siracha and hoisin sauce for any kind of taste. Portions are very small. Vietamese food is one of my favorite foods to eat. I eat it every chance I get and in every town I visit. I have eaten in hondreds of Vietamese restaurants, the portions here are the smallest of ANY of them and the flavors the weakest. I still come here from time to time because there is nothing better in Chico but I wish there was. If you have eaten here, please visit ANY other Vietamese restaurant outside of Chico and you will see what I mean. read more

Awful. Four stars for this place, really? Their specialty is pho and they fail miserably. The pho is always inconsistent. It's either too plain, sweet, or murky/soggy. Portions are tiny with barely any meat in the soup. I came back a few times giving them a chance to change my opinion and hoping they would get it right, but nope. I don't know how they are still in business. I understand Chico is a small town for a pho restaurant, but this place is a big disappointment. This is my favorite place in town to get pho. The P2 is my go too and an order of spring rolls with extra peanut sauce. You wont be disappointed. The staff and the owner are always friendly and have a smile waiting. Craved this while I was pregnant with our daughter and now she's 4 and wants to go have her favorite "Brown soup" at least once a week. read more

I've eaten at A LOT of Vietnamese places. This place is on the upper end of "decent" qualitywise but not amazing by any means. I'll continue to eat there as it is near my office and home. The portion size is less than what I am used to but the prices are very reasonable. read more

The pho is to die for. I love the "chicken noodle" (don't be fooled by the name, this is not your Grandma's chicken soup!) it's lean, thinly sliced white meat chicken, green onion, cilantro, and rice noodles, to which you add your own bean sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeños, and more fresh cilantro. My husband loves the lean beef and beef brisket soup. If you want something light and fresh, but still filling, get the soup. The fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce are also amazing. read more

Service was great, everyone was super nice but the food itself was subpar. The pho, especially the broth, was very bland compared to Everyday Vietnamese. They also kind of skimped on the meat which, for a 7.00 bowl of small pho is kind of whack. On a positive note, the peanut sauce was amazing. I was first introduced to Pho in Sac and instantly fell in love. I tend to think of this place as a "Americanized Pho shop" The portions are smaller here than at most Pho joints, but if you can finish the large in one sitting then you have my respect. I go for the small and some spring rolls or potstickers. Their Pho is also "tamed" down from what I'm used too. The broth is milder and doesn't have as much pronounced cinnamon/anise flavor. Which is not a flavor most Americans expect in a savory dish. You won't find tendons, tripe, blood cake, or fat on their list of ingredients either. The most unusual thing you might find is a meat ball or rare beef cooking in the broth. Everyone here is really friendly. The food is very fresh and the prices are cheap. I just ate here today for a quick bowl of Pho with meatball. I can only speak for myself. No one place is going to please everyone. I have probably tasted better Pho elsewhere in Chico but this isn't bad for the value. Maybe not as good as Vietnamese Bistro or Noodle House or Everyday Vietnamese on Nord but since I live not far from there, I went there. Chico lately has been having some good Vietnamese restaurants on the scene. Maybe it's just me but I wish they and all the other Pho houses when they serve coffee serve it in larger cups or in large coffee mugs for what you pay for coffee anymore. I realize unless you are at Dennys or Rolling Hills Buffett the days of $2.00 coffee plus free refills are all but gone. That's just a personal opinion not a slam against the establishment. The decor is nice. I once took a past girlfriend here and my late wife who was from South Korea here. It or the Noodle House was maybe the first Pho House she ate at. Try it if you havent but don't overlook the other Vietnamese establishments here. read more

Pho C&C is great if you're looking for a quick, inexpensive, tasty meal. It's not a 5-Star restaurant, but for the fast meal, it is excellent. They don't skimp on the veggies and have a good variety on their menu. I ordered the larger portion of pho with chicken and I had plenty for lunch and leftovers for the next day. I go here about once a month and will likely continue. read more

I went here again today for lunch and got their vermicelli noodle bowl. I honestly think Vietnam bistro is better. I didn't like the small noodles and the sauce. I would recommend Vietnam Bistro because their meat and sauce have more flavor. read more

I've always liked this pho restaurant. I've had good service and more than adequate portions. I had been there a few times before the staff loosened up -- showed up recently with my dad, a local uniformed cop, and my two brothers home from military service on the east coast, also in uniform. It isn't the best Pho I have ever tasted (that was at a place called Little Saigon II in Orlando, FL) but tasty none the less. I'm giving them a break for having somewhat bland broth because they had the guts to open the first Vietnamese place in Chico, their spring rolls and Thai tea are delicious, the veggies are fresh, the service is friendly, and the place is always nice and clean. Come early. Heard good things about this place and was feeling some pho so I decided tonight would be a good time to check it out. My girlfriend got off work at 7 took us about 15 minutes to get to the place but I figured 45 minutes was more than enough time to eat and get out but when we get in they tell us to go orders only as they're closing in 10 minutes. This restaurant is like my home away from home. My family and I eat here at least twice a week, but usually more. Actually, we usually take it home, so maybe it's just my kitchen away from home. Anyways, I have tried a lot of items from Pho C&C and I have never been disappointed. I usually get their grilled beef over white rice with a side salad and one vietnamese egg roll. The salad is incredibly simple with iceburg lettuce, grated carrots and comes pre-dressed with a very, very light vinegar-based dressing. It is addicting! I seriously dream about the grilled beef. It is simple, favorful and light. You can also get grilled chicken and shrimp, over rice or vermicelli. Of course, Pho isalso on the menu. My husband gets the tofu Pho every time. He loves it, although he wishes the tofu was fresh instead of fried. Despite this, he still reccomends it. He has had several of the meat varieties of their Pho, and said they were also good. The pho is generous and fresh, and comes with all the usual condiments: noodles to add as you like, thai basil, bean sprouts, hot sauce, fish sauce, peppers...I'm sure I'm forgetting something!! The food is fresh, delicious, quick and cheap. A large Pho is around $6 and the grilled dishes are $6 or $7 dollars. Their appetizers are all good and cheap, too. read more
