Came here for the veggie pho. The bowls are huge and basically fed me and my youngster so we shared and still had half a pint left over. I do wish they added more veggies to it like the bok chow and mushrooms. I didn't know it came w the tofu. This is great for these cold freezing temps out right now. The veggie spring roll was yummy too. I spent about 30 with tip. I enjoyed that I felt good after the meal as well. read more

Pho Au Lac - Vietnamese Near Me - Winter Springs, Florida

Dropped into this Vietnamese cafe on the way home from a long road trip. What a nice reprieve from the cool weather and a long car ride. Pho Au Lac offers authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a cute and relaxing setting. Loved the vibes inside and the service was prompt. Enjoyed the summer rolls with shrimp and pork, the regular size pho with rare beef, and a pot of very warm ginger tea. This place really hit the spot and I would come here again in a heartbeat. Next time I plan to check out their boba selections and some papaya salad. read more

This is a nice place close to where I live that is within walking distance. I came here for the soft opening back in September. I came for an early week day lunch by myself. The restaurant was empty except for me. Atmosphere seemed nice, booths, some tables, etc. I had the summer rolls which could be more chilled and the pho. Pho was a little too sweet for my liking but it wasn't bad. Some of the prices were a tad too expensive as compared to the restaurants at east colonial area. I hope more diners visit to keep this place open. I went back again and it was still very quiet with only a few customers. read more

My boyfriend and I have always loved pho and have tried many places from here in Orlando to all the way in west palm. This is one of the best I've ever had the broth was phenomenal. Noodles were perfect texture. He had the combo beef pho with meatballs and he said they were one of the best he's ever had and not ass chewy or spongy as some we've had in the past. The homemade hot chili oil was delicious and very spicy. Love the vibe of the place very cozy and modern. Our server was very nice and attentive as well. Definitely recommend!! read more

My first time here and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is clean and inviting with tasteful decorations. The menu has so many amazing choices. I went with the vegetarian Pho and green tea boba. The portion was enough for lunch and dinner. It was all delicious. The appetizer off spring roll was a bit smaller than expected, with only 2 spring rolls, however, they were delicious. The service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I really wanted to like this place because we haven't never been and we like to support small business. The decor is really nice, very inviting and stylish. The service is a little slow, it took 10+ minutes for a server to come to the table to take our order. I think there were only 2 servers for the whole place but it really seemed that the food took long to come out. We came about 45 minutes before closing which seemed reasonable especially because they were hosting a spirit night for our school. We ordered brown sugar boba milk tea, dumplings, fried tofu, and Bao buns. They were out of boba which was disappointing but understandable considering the time of day. The dumplings came out after ~15 minutes, at which time I put in a take out order for an order of 2 more Bao buns. Around 5-10 minutes after that (now at least 20 minutes since we placed our original order), the server advised that they were totally out of Bao buns, so couldn't fulfill our original or take out orders. We of course were disappointed but were understanding and still wanted the fried tofu. The dumplings were ok, a little wetter than I'd prefer but the ponzu sauce was tasty. The fried tofu was just ok, it was cooked nicely but the coating did it have a ton of flavor. The sweet chili sauce was pretty good. The server brought out 2 Bao buns that she said were the "last two in the house" so that was a nice surprise after being told they were totally out. I ate to say it but the meat was dry although the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I am hope they can improve their communication in the future and figure out what's in the kitchen quicker so customers aren't left without their meals. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and I'm really excited to have a new take out spot in winter springs! I'd heard good things and was excited to try out this local neighborhood spot. I dined in with family tonight although I get the sense that this is more of a take out vibe. But the dine in experience was pleasant. The server was attentive and friendly but the basket on our table which was supposed to house the ramen soup spoons was empty. We had to swipe one off of another table since one was never delivered with the soup. Anyhow, it didn't turn us off. We enjoyed some table apps stating with vegetable spring rolls. Big hit! Hard to mess up spring rolls of course but these ones did hit the spot. The veggie dumplings I could have done without. They were okay but apparently the veggie dumplings are only available fried. I would have preferred that they be steamed but not a huge deal. Just a little strange. For mains I went ahead with a pad Thai and it hit the spot. One of the best pad Thais I've had in the area. I'll be ordered that on the regular. My family had some udon noodle stir fry and a beef pho. Both were very pleased with the meal. Great choice for take out in winter springs. Dine in is nice if you are looking for a quiet meal with conversation as the place wasn't packed. Very clean and pleasant to sit in. There's ample street parking available. Can't wait to return! I'll definitely be in the near future. read more

Driving back from New Smyrna with my friend and we were craving bubble tea! Nothing was close by so we decided to stop by Winter Springs and try out some boba from here; after all, I am Orlando's Bubble Tea Queen. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. We both tried the strawberry mango with almond milk and were both addicted! The flavor and consistency mixed with the well boiled and sugared boba was perfection! We want to come back and try their food the next time we get a chance. The service was quick and friendly. read more

We used to come here all the time. Last time we came here the smell was so bad when we entered. We actually had to turn around and leave. Recently, we gave it another try, upon entry we saw the most disgusting fish tank ever- it is so cloudy and molded. Thinking about how disgusting dirty that fish tank was made me imagine that the kitchen couldn't have been much better, unfortunately, we did decide to stay, but the whole time as I was eating, I could just think about the potential dirt there might be in my food. Upon leaving, I honestly felt sick at the thought and I will not be coming here again sadly. read more

4 Stars for overall food and experience An early Saturday date night and errand location allowed us to try out this new place for us. Easily accessed just off of 434, with plenty of parking, and a corner location, we happily found not many people dining at the time and the employees wearing masks (yes, this was during the pandemic). Our main courses ordered were Stir-Fried Mixed Veggies with tofu and Lemon Grass with beef, and, each plate came with a nice serving of white rice. Both dishes brought the flavor, cooked perfectly in our opinion. The heat on my Spicy Chili wasn't overpowering (although I suspect I didn't have the full heat experience!) and enhanced the overall tastiness. The service was straight-forward and the staff helpful with answering questions about the menu. The only downside were the summer rolls - they were both surprisingly unseasoned! The peanut sauce took care of the short-coming, and none was left. The menu contained plenty of choices and I hope to return to try some other dishes. Bonus: If you like to walk or stroll after your meal, plenty of sidewalk and trails await here! read more

Let me start off by saying if I could give this place 10 stars I would for going above and beyond and here is why. I have been coming here for a while for pick up but this was the first time eating at the restaurant. We ordered the pork fried dumplings as appetizers. Pho Nam which is a soup with beef brisket and noodles and garlic noodles which included beef. Also, Thai tea and Vanilla Chai tea with boba. Now let me say this, I got the order to go because we didn't plan to stay but it was a nice day so we opened our bags and proceeded to eat outside. I began to put my noodles in the container with my soup and a women that worked there, I'm assuming the owner stopped me and said let me get a bowl for you so you can eat it hot. I said it's ok I'm probably just going to have half and take the rest home. She insisted she would get me a bowl so I can enjoy it better. So I said ok. She took the meal in the back and put half of the soup, noodles, and beef etc and heated back up in bowl so I could enjoy it piping hot. And it did make a huge difference. My soup wasn't getting cold fast and she warmed up just enough for me to enjoy there and take the rest home. Now this is above and beyond customer service! She was determined to make sure I had the meal the right way and I can always appreciate those gestures. The food was amazing as usual! The Pho platter was huge and tasty, I never even add any sauce. The dumplings nice and crunchy. The garlic noodles my daughter always gets, is always fresh and hot. They come in good portions too. We never had the teas here before and my vanilla chai was like a dream. So smooth and delicious. The boba was good too! I'm particular about where I get boba because it can sometimes be too sweet. This one was perfect and went great with the vanilla chai. I was about to go back the next day, the way I was thinking about that tea. This place is a must try for the attention to detail and just the great quality of the food. I will def be back soon for my Pho and chai cravings. read more

We ordered the summer rolls, crepes, pad Thai and papaya salad with shrimp. The menu was scratched out in multiple places and had "krab" instead of "crab" which we noticed right away and maybe should have been a sign. First off they brought pho instead of the crepe and only after a long delay told us that they are out of the crepes. We had already eaten the summer rolls even though they had zero spices on it - and only had steamed plain shrimp and iceberg lettuce and a few rice noodles. I could have made those at home. The papaya salad - had no fish sauce on it at all from what I could tell. Shrimp was streamed plain. The papaya was chewy and stale tasting. And even though I asked for it to be served without pork i found several pieces of pork in it anyway. The pad Thai was probably the most edible of all but we decided to ask for it to go and simply left. From a five star to one star in a couple of years. I was sad that this place isn't what it once was. Definitely won't go back. read more

My wife and I were picking up our daughter from school, she is a senior in High School. When our daughter recommended Pho Au Lac because all of us were really hungry and our daughter wanted to try the Boba Tea that they serve at the restaurant. When we entered we looked at their menu and the food was a little pricey, so we decided to just try their Boba Tea since we didn't want to spend to much ordering a lot of food. So we ordered three medium sized Boba Tea drinks, I ordered the White Chocolate Milk Tea with regular Boba, my wife ordered Honeydew Milk Tea with Mango Pearl Boba, and our daughter ordered a Tropical Fruit Smoothie with Mango Pearl Boba. Each of the medium drinks were $8 apiece so the cost wasn't to bad at least for the Boba Teas. All the drinks were very refreshing and quite delicious, my family is a huge fan if Boba Tea and they knocked the Boba Tea experience out of the park. So just on the Boba Tea experience I would recommend Pho Au Lac and Tea House to anyone looking for a refreshing & tasty Boba Tea beverage. read more

Horrible experience at Pho at lac! Ordered take out... never again! Paid for extra large soup... nope! No larger than the regular size soup. Soup cold, veggies gross. the only reason I knew before I left was because the bag was so light that I thought they forgot the soup. Nope it was there just not much of it! Told they couldn't refund. We go at least once a week, many times more! Place is empty but service was horrible!! No manager on staff. Almost $50 for an "XL" soup and a regular size one. My suggestion. Order in. So I have been searching for a pho spot near Oviedo since I moved here a month ago. We stumbled upon Pho Au Lac while exploring neighboring towns. The first time, we decided to try their banh mi, Thai tea with boba and avocado smoothie. Both drinks were good but The boba was still hard. My kids didn't even eat the boba and they love boba!, As for the banh mi---it was okay (I wouldn't order it again). Since We didn't try their pho the first time, we decided to go back but dine in instead. We ordered the salt and pepper squid, kids pho and a Pho tai bo vien. The pho broth was good and the squid was a hit. My kids ended up eating my food. Lol as always. I would recommend this restaurant. read more

Mixed feelings. Probably the worst service I've ever experienced. Such a shame too because the food was delicious. This restaurant heavily relies on Togo's which was experienced while my boyfriend and I dined in. Togo gets priority over customers that dine in. Food - B+. I had the Vietnamese noodle dish with chicken. My boyfriend had chicken and broccoli. The portions were huge and very flavorful. 4 stars for the food. Service - D-. We were greeted and seated within a few minutes. Then the night went downhill and just continued. We were seated for approximately 12 mi it's before I got up and notified an employee who wasn't our server. Thank goodness for him bc he assisted us throughout the night. Also I hope the restaurant operates with tip share because the sushi chef became a good runner. Our server eventually apologized for the wait as they were "so busy." Only half the restaurant was occupied. We had given our drink order to 3 employees. One of them we gave it twice. Also we had asked our server for the check which she then closed out a Togo order then proceeded to fill the candy bowl before bringing us our check. Luckily we had a Groupon so we got some sort of a deal. Overall, a very sad experience and I doubt we will be back. read more

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and was very excited with the prospect of having a great Vietnamese restaurant closer than the Mills/50 area. My daughter ordered the pork banh mi and thought it was delicious. I decided to go with a childhood favorite of mine-bun (vermicelli). They offer a tofu version, so that was what I opted for. The vermicelli bowl was definitely a disappointment. It needed more greenery, as it was lacking much lettuce and cucumber. The tofu was not seasoned before putting it on the dish, and it was very mushy, as if they didn't press it before cooking. My biggest complaint was the Nuoc Mam sauce (fish sauce). It almost seemed as if they poured water in the nuoc mam to make it last longer. It didn't even smell like fish sauce. It also wasn't prepared like I'm used to--with some shredded carrot, red pepper, sweetener, etc. It was flavorless. I asked for another side of it just to attempt some flavor in the dish, but it just became more wet and not more flavorful. The service was wonderful and my daughter loved the boba tea, but my meal was a big let down. I probably will not return as there are so many great Vietnamese restaurants in Orlando that make it worth the drive. read more

If you are craving both Vietnamese and Thai, this is your spot! It's located in winter springs town center and also has a dessert case up front. My bf and I ordered the grilled summer rolls, banh xeo and pad sew-we. Everything was delicious! It can be hard to find banh Xeo and theirs was on point. I definitely want to return to try their pho and other noodle dishes. I took off a star because service was a little off and we were one of the only few people in the restaurant. 3.5 Stars. We were influenced by a groupon. Food is very good, service is friendly, attentive and amicable. I is a solid A-OK. If you live in the Winter Springs, Tuskawilla area it's great to have a local option for Vietnamese, and Thai food. The chicken dumplings had a meaty filling and a good toothsome texture that was not too thick. The BBQ chicken with vermicelli was a generous portion and they were able to substitute the spring roll to a vegetarian version. The star was the Vietnamese crepe, which the also substituted out the pork for us to chicken and tofu. The crepe was not greasy and had excellent crisp on the top, and generously filled. The menu is a diverse collection of both Vietnamese and Thai, and they also serve sushi. Next time I would try the crispy noodles and seafood, the Vietnamese twist on chow fun, or the Pad See u. I'd be blatantly lying if I said this spot doesn't live up to it's elite reputation. Being a busy woman who regularly works 60+ hours a week, I'll admit I settle for take out more often than I should (about once every other week). Each time I do, I'm left unsatisfied about 90% of the time because once you've dined in your favored local restaurant, sat in one of the provided tables or booths, and scarfed down food that was delivered while still hot and fresh from the kitchen, you'd understand. Food just doesn't taste the same once you transfer it from a takeout box and nuke it in the microwave. That being said, my standards were set relatively low for this place that was new to me, as I first tried it while visiting my sister in Lake Mary. This place reset all my Pho takeout standards and blew them all out of the water. They definitely know what they're doing. The broth will be in a separate container from the chicken, and the chicken will be in a separate compartment, sharing the same box as the soup add ins (mint, bean sprouts, lime). Just as you would in the restaurant, you can add your favored amounts of each particular ingredient into your soup, and no matter how many times you reheat it, it still tastes as it would dining in. After I discovered the genuine quality of this place, I tried their chicken Pad Thai. PHENOMENAL. Just the right amount of sauce and noodles ever so slightly al-dente as they should be. Since I'm pretty bad with names, I'm posting this review as much for myself as anyone else so I can remember the name of one of the best Pho places I've ever tried, hands DOWWWWN. Their salad rolls are also pretty spectacular as an appetizer, and they've got the perfect peanut sauce recipe to compliment it. Worth every damn penny for the food, delivery, and the sweet, filling coma of bliss you'll undoubtedly be left in once you finish your meal. read more

Delicious food and nice environment, service needs a lot of improvement I've been craving pho because of the cold weather and was happy to find this place that just opened. It's better because it's so close to my house. And definitely tastes much better than that other place I went to last time. The soup base isn't overly salty like other places. You'll also get a good portion overall. The noodles are cooked to the right consistency. I had the opportunity to try their taro slush for free this time since the owner offered it as a soft opening of their boba tea menu Their service needs a lot of improvement since a lot of them are still new to the restaurant industry. The good thing is they're willing to improve as soon as I mentioned anything. The problem is I don't know how many people have the patience for it. Also FYI, if you pay with card your bill is higher than paying with cash. I'll come back for their food but not for their boba. Here's my bad experience with boba: When I ordered the three color coconut milk tea drink, I was told they are out of jelly. The staff asked me to change my drink order to something else. The problem is I didn't see anything else I liked on the menu. Instead I asked them to just substitute the original jelly for another type of jelly. They declined it. Not sure for what reason specially when they asked me personally to pick anything else I liked. My thoughts are : if you won't let me pick what I want then don't offer it to me. The drink came out and it wasn't even 80% full for a $4.95 drink. There was a big chunk of crushed ice on the middle that i could barely poke my straw through. FYI they won't let me order this without ice because it would be too thick to drink. Even though they have a sign about customizing ice levels and sweetness levels... It was just disappointing specially when I had to just throw out the ice myself to find that the drink is just as drinkable without the ice. To make it worse, the cup was barely 60% full by the time I threw out the ice. I didn't bother Ask for the refund or anything since they already gave us a free drink because they gave us the wrong order at the beginning... Word of advice: just order the food and enjoy it. Ignore their service and you'll be fine. Don't even try to order their boba drinks. They make it too complicated. read more

It was just "okay". The pho had flavor but not as rich as other places. The summer rolls weren't packed with ingredients and they were just okay as well. I'd probably eat here if I was craving Vietnamese cuisine and was in the area but not go out of my way. My friend and I came here the first week they opened and they had a sign with lunch specials on it. When we inquired about it, the waiter said that didn't apply and it was from previous owners. It was a little irritating because if someone had come in specifically for the specials, its false advertising. Thankfully they did put the sign inside 20 minutes after I had pointed it out. read more

Finally, exactly what we were looking for as we've been looking for a good pho place in the area that's open on Sundays. Our favorite pho place, Pho 54 in Oviedo is closed Sundays and the others outside of the Mills-50 area in Orlando have disappointed. Yes, we've tried the others numerous times...Saigon Flavors, iPho, Four Guys, Pho 4 U, Pho Cali all miss the mark as they either dumb down the pho for the masses or they try to do too much and perfect nothing. Anyway, onto the pho here. Broth although a bit on the sweet side was very flavorful with complexities of cinnamon and star anise. Noodles were dropped to order and were a perfect al dente and hot. Got the tai nam (tender brisket and rare flank) and it came out tender and perfect. Accoutrements (including the fatty broth with extra onions we requested) were fresh and plentiful as well, which may mean nothing to the average person, but shows that they care about the important things to me. My son, who's favorite dish is pho says this may be in his Top 3 along with Pho Phu Vuong in Saigon, Pho Bac Sup Shop in Seattle. Yes, we take our pho seriously and eat it whenever we can. Decor hasn't changed much from when this restaurant was Saigon Blvd, so it was on the nicer side for a Viet restaurant. I did confirm that these are new owners with a new chef. I just wanted to make sure as sometimes restaurants rebrand themselves with a new name to get a new start but will have the same issues since the management never changed. This isn't the case here. Service was very good (yes, uncharacteristic for an Asian restaurant) from beginning to end. Owners greeted us and checked on us to make sure everything was fine. Even asked for our feedback and introduced us to the chef. This humble approach to customer service is how businesses should be run, but few do. Kudos to them to recognize the importance of this especially in this neighborhood. Overall, we are happy this is a lot better than the previous restaurant. I would say their bowl of soup is very comparable to our favorite Pho 54. I think the 54 broth is slightly more unctuous, naturally sweet and a little more gingery, which we prefer. Pho Au Lac does a better job with the al dente noodles that soak up the broth well. Both places have good richness and offer a perfect bowl of pho. Hope they keep up the good work and can find a following because selfishly, we want to eat here. read more
