Walked in on a Friday evening. You can tell they get busy. There was about 5 tables with people. And people kept walking in and out. Take out orders. You order at the counter and sit or take out. Got chicken bahn mi.-$10-11 it was like shredded marinated chicken. With their veggies. The bread was good. I would like to try their steak next time. Got the yellow curry chicken also. It was flavorful not too spicy. The veggies were definitely over cooked. Took about 15 min to get our order. read more

I got the #46 - Yellow curry chicken and a bahn mi sandwich (chicken). Took them about 15 min to prepare for takeout. The yellow curry was solid and the chicken was flavorful and moist with a touch of spiciness. The bahn mi had an interesting flavor, not what I expected but it was still good. Pretty straight forward service from the staff. Pho 9 is definitely pricier than other restaurants. The yellow curry chicken was $16 and the bahn mi was $10. read more

ordered the house special pho and there was nothing special about it. I ordered the special thinking there was tendon and tripe but there was only brisket, meatballs, and ribeye and the ribeye wasn't even ribeye and the large bowl wasn't even close to being large. read more

Came here for lunch and there were plenty of tables available. You order and pay first at the front before getting seated. We ordered the combo pho, a bun bo hui, and a bun rieu. Each bowl was delicious and full of flavor! The pho actually had the flat noodles instead of the traditional thin noodles which we all really liked! The staff were friendly, but we did wait for our food for a bit despite it not being very busy. It's spacious and they were playing kpop! Plenty of parking outside, would def come here again. :) read more

I stopped by for a quick lunch as I wanted a noodle soup. I ordered their Crab and Tomato Soup and didn't realize it was spicy. It was good, loved the proteins like shrimp and tofu they put in it. It was also not super salty. You order and pay first and then sit down. Plenty of parking in the plaza. read more

It could be that I was already in kind of a "meh" mood, but I wasn't particularly "wowed" by this place. It wasn't super busy-I think there might have been 3 groups altogether at dinner time. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to you at your table. My dining partner received his food several minutes before mine came out. It was an awkward wait-he was trying to be polite, and I was holding up the meal. (Well, not be personally, but my dish was.) Timing could be adjusted to ensure both people in the party receive their food roughly at the same time. I had a chicken stir fry dish and it was just ok. The presentation was lacking-I didn't get a picture of it, but it wasn't incredibly beautiful. Which would have been fine if the taste was amazing, but it was just ok. Kind of bland, really. It wasn't a horrible experience, I would be willing to return. But it didn't knock my socks off...and I prefer bare feet. read more

Pho 9 - Vietnamese Near Me - West Jordan, Utah

Their pho was below average but their egg rolls will give you an idea of their food quality. How can you send out old burnt egg rolls and be okay with it? Do better. Terrible... I didn't even finish my pho and took only one bite of the nasty egg rolls. read more

Pho 9 - These were the egg rolls they brought out to me. Old, stale, and burnt. Avoid this place. - Vietnamese Near Me - West Jordan, Utah

This place is okay. They serve their pho with thick noodles and their egg rolls are served with chopped lettuce instead of a whole lettuce to wrap your egg rolls with. It's way overpriced than places I've been to. They serve 2 egg rolls per order for the price of $6 each... which to me is crazy. Their egg rolls are small too. I got the brisket with ribeye large for $15 My husband got the brisket w/chicken for the same price. We got our kids the chicken rice bowl for $18 and their chicken bowl isn't the typical chicken bowl. It's shredded chicken. Not that great either. Our total came out to be $64 which is wild. 2 large pho 2 orders of egg rolls (4 small egg rolls) And a chicken rice plate. To me it's best you get your moneys by making your own pho at home to be honest. We're from CA and I don't want to compare but the pho here in Utah is not good. read more

Was In the mood for some beef spring rolls and saw this location had some. It was a nice little drive from my area but it was worth it. Very cozy and there was a good amount of people when we arrived. They offer traditional Pho but wanted to branch out and try something new. The beef was very tender , the broth was good but I think it could have been spicier . We loved the banh mi sandwich and we tried it with the peanut sauce from the Rolls- made for a tasty bite . Their thai tea was made in house as well, refreshing and not overly sweet Will return for more of the spring rolls and try more items on the menu read more

Pho kind of sucked we ordered a kids pho the combination and a rare beef and brisket. One thing I noticed right as I walked in was that the whole place smelled like pee and chemicals it was absolutely revolting. And right as we walked in, we weren't greeted. We were just told we won't see you come over and seat yourself in a very mean and yelling voice. We ordered sat down talked and the kids bowl only had four meatballs. It was seven dollars and here's the thing it wasn't even for meatballs. It was one meatball cut into four pieces and the rest of the soups had almost 0 meat and maybe a flimsy piece of brisket and maybe one meatball. Everyone was so mad they didn't even get to enjoy their meal and after we finished, we wanted to sit down and talk for a minute until we were very rudely kicked out right as they closed now I get restaurants closed, but here's the same they didn't even say it nicely. They just yelled at us to get out because they were closed half of us. Didn't even get to finish her food and then you wanna know the gross part they didn't even clean. They left right after us and they took all the customer parking so we had to go park in another parking spot. This place sucks read more

Pho was less than expected. No tripe in the soup. I expected Pho, not an Utah version of Pho. I will not go back

Delicious, everything we tried was wonderful. Service was a little slow but not too bad.

Great pho and sandwiches! Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend the bun bo hue if you like spicy. Fav thing on the menu. Service is friendly and quick! read more

We ordered pho to go and we're given barely any broth. There's was no tripe in the broth & the to-go contain it was in wasn't even half way full. Was not worth the $16 I spent to have no tripe. read more

Regular sized pho with brisket was perfect amount for lunch. Meet to noodle ratio was perfect. Broth was delicious!

Pho was okay, it did have a sweet taste like ppl are saying. The saddest thing is the spring roll. As picture the spring roll look nothing like the advertised picture. We order a large for $15.00 and it did not look like a large. It was like a small. Portion was not enough. read more

If you live around the area, don't think you have to drive to West Valley for a good bowl of pho or Viet food, in general. This place does it well and definitely clears nearby competitors. Per their pho, their broth is delicate, slightly sweet, and more spiced than beefy. It's a good proper bowl, but I was more inclined towards their rice plates. I got their chicken plate to which the meat was tender and healthily marinated in lemongrass. read more

It was good. The boba was a hit. The potstickers were fine. Not super amazing. I don't personally like Pho so I got chicken lo mein. The flavor was good but the noodles were very starchy. It was not my favorite. Everyone else got pho. The special. They all liked it. I tried it and couldn't get past the strong star anise flavor. Not for me. But the rest of the family said they would come back. The staff were very friendly! And the food came out pretty quickly. read more

I'm obsessed with their bun rieu/crab and tomato noodle soup. I could live off of it. The broth is flavorful the noodles are amazing. I work right by here so I come here a lot it sells out so I would call and make sure they have it or have a different item to order in mind. Their spicy lemongrass beef is good too! Personally I don't order their pho, the one time I had it it was a little too sweet and star anise was strong. Their fresh spring rolls are yummy too! But my coworkers love their chicken pho and pho when they come. read more

Awesome place. Pho shrimp and meatballs is the best I loved every bite and wanted more. I will be eating here again soon

We have tried this place many times and have always enjoyed what we have gotten. We have tied several options. The staff are very friendly.

I've ordered their pho twice for take out in the past month and it's been excellent both times. Their broth is flavorful and delicious. I would say it's one of the best places in the area for pho. Although, I'm not going to dock a star for this because the pho was still awesome, but both times I've asked for a side of sriracha ordering on the phone and when I got home and opened the takeout I had two sides of hoisin lol. I think you need to ask for sriracha in person at checkout if you want any for your takeout. read more

It was so good I didn't want to stop eating. I will be going back again. The Pho was perfect. Shrimp Lo Mein was to die for.

Food, service, and ambience is good. Prices are reasonable not a bad lil place to have good Vietnamese food.

Asked if they put shrimp paste in their spicy beef noodle and they said no. But clearly it does. This is how people end up in hospitals or dying. Know your ingredients!! Wife got sick because of this food allergy and now has to go to the hospital. read more

It's definitely not horrible, but it is the worst pho that I've had in Salt Lake City, greater area... The worst. Who puts puts broccoli in it? The beef was excellent and the service was just great. But the noodles we're the worst noodles I've ever had. The rough was acceptable but it's actually the worst dish of phoI've ever had read more

I found a hidden gem in my favorite vacation spot. After hitting ski slope, we liked to have pho to warm up on Christmas Eve. Most places were closed, but this restaurant was open. Without other choice, I had to visit. What an unexpected pleasure! The soup was good (even it is without MSG). Better than any other places I visited except two. (I used to live 5 miles away from Litttle Saigon in Orange County CA.) I am not saying it's the third. It is one of the best 3. If you like Pho and I the Salt Lake area. I highly recommend this place. According to my son, the Banmi is also good. read more

Pho 9 - The entry bowls! - Vietnamese Near Me - West Jordan, Utah

The broth wasn't right. Tastes like it isn't made fresh or made in house. Meat is already cooked which is unusual.

Pho wasn't that great, the Thai iced tea and the lemongrass meat was really delicious though. Service was great, they kept checking up on us even though it wasn't a sit down order off the menu type of establishment. Would love to go back and try some other items as they have a nice menu to choose from. read more

The crab and tomato soup had no crab, but had shrimp instead. It would have been nice to let me know they substituted. The flavor was good though. The yellow curry is also good, but the curry is more the consistency of a soup rather than a sauce and the elements in the curry a cut very large. Staff was friendly. The ambiance was a bit like a dive restaurant, but that doesn't bother me when the food is good. read more

This was our first time ordering, we are never going to go back to this place again. It is not even an authentic pho broth. We paid $16 and our soup and the Styrofoam container was full of veggies. The pho soup container was half full and I had asked for extra meat which they forgot to add. The bun was fatty meat, seasoned horribly and again the container was full of veggies. Overall very bad place. If somebody says this place is good, you should go check out some other pho places. I'm sorry, but somebody needs to take a look at the menu and rethink the pho base and seasoning of meat for the bun. Thank you read more

UPDATE: 5 stars to 4. I ordered from this place for the 4th time and the shrimp fried rice had hair in it. It wasn't my hair, and I was disgusted by it. I really don't like finiding things in my food that isn't food. The taste of the shrimp fried rice could be better so for this reason (cleanliness and taste), I am going to have to remove a star off. Initial Review: I love Pho 9! Have ordered from this place twice and both times, I've been extremely satisfied. When we saw this place has an average of 3 stars, we were a little deterred from ordering. It was a gamble- we were either gonna get good food or bad. Honestly, I am glad we decided to try this place out. I would choose this over other 4-5 star Vietnamese restaurants on Yelp. I've tried a few Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but none of them have been as good and tasty as Pho 9. I am honestly surprised with how delicious it is. This is my new go to place! When I order Vietnamese food around here, I typically can't get myself to finish all of the noodles and rice-- however, Pho 9's dishes are so good that I eat everything on the plate. Even their boba, specifically the Honeydew, tasted so good. You can taste the fruitiness rather than the sweet, jelly-like taste of boba drinks from other Vietnamese restaurants. It's not typical of me to leave no complaints in Yelp reviews, but so far, with my experience of service and taste of their food, I'd give this place 5 stars. Go try it for yourself! read more
