The worst service I have ever received. My family and I went today and they got a rush. When they took our order I felt rushed, didn't even give us time to order drinks. As we received our food, we ordered our drinks and the old lady got mad and gave us our drinks in a rude manner. She would walk to other tables and ask if everything was okay, but didn't come to our table at all. She brought our check and just slammed in on the table. My favorite spot to get pho. The manger (maybe part owner) is a delight. She's so sassy and is so great with customers and running this great little spot. Before Covid-19 this place was my favorite place to eat pho during my cold allergy days and it helped so much to ease my allergies. I have been here a couple times and really enjoyed the food that they have here. However I would like to write this review to help those that might want to try and eat at this place a better idea for what they have to offer. This establishment has your typical Vietnamese Food ranging from the traditional Pho noodle soup to elegant rice dishes and appetizers. Tucked in the corner in West Valley City on the 3500 and east of Redwood Road, this restaurant is of the driven path and can be found very easily and accessibly from 3500. When it comes to parking, you can literally park anywhere around the establishment. Tuck in the back of this restaurant you can also find the well-known grocery store Luckys market. So you can find parking in that area as well. There are nine tables sitting up to four seats, and there are four tables sitting up to six seats. The register counter is in the back next to the restroom area. As you make your way into the establishment, the owner or server will greet you and will most likely see you right away. Depending on the day and the time, Pho Cali may not be as packed as it should be. I normally have the house special noodles and sometimes a few appetizer on the side, but for today I was not particularly hungry so I went with simply the spring rolls. If you are trying to spring rolls, you will be delighted to know that they provide a peanut sauce that you can dip into which tastes very very delicious. Everyone that joined in on the dining all had Pho. Compared to the standard broth in California this noodle shop is very close to the authentic taste. You have to understand that to make a proper Vietnamese noodle taste good, the secret is in the broth and how the broth is made. If the broth is made and served on the same day, then the Noodles will most likely taste very stale and will require you to add additional condiments and seasoning to taste. Authentic noodle broth are usually prepared one or two days in advance such that the bone that is used in the broth is dispersed into the soup. Long story short this establishment has one of the best broth in the area. I am recommending this location to any Vietnamese noodles seeking eaters out there in the local area. read more
