The food was ok and arrived rather quickly. The restaurant was rather empty when I arrived and I was greeted by I the restaurant owners children. The restaurant is fairly small, simple, with lots of tables. In regards to the food, my coworker and I had their Pho soup, I had the brisket Pho and she had the chicken Pho. The food was very good, we had received our plates to go and we were both very content with the way our food was placed. There was a lot of vegetables added, such as cilantro, onion, peppers, and etc, these came on the side as is usual with Pho plates. We had a lot of meat also, and the brisket meat tasted great-tender yet savory! The broth was also very good, therefore, they both complimented each other well with the meat and noodles! As for beverages, we ordered their smoothies, both flavor Taro, both of the smoothies were large and tasted great! Highly recommend the Taro flavor with tapioca or boba. I've tried many pho places before. but this place is the worst taste and service wise. came in there today thinking 4 star ratings on reviews from previous customers that I was going to enjoy my lunch----boy was I wrong!!! as soon as I walk in cocky asian guy with bad attitude says sit where you want. OK. so I sit---"where i want". I order combination pho and the egg roll thinking i'd have a blast. boy was I wrong again. egg roll was just that. an egg roll. here i thought i was going to get a lumpia. nope. didn't get it. ---i think jacks makes better egg rolls than them. but whatever. when the pho comes out i'm thinking--- oh yeah!! this is going to be good. nope. its the most tasteless broth ever. the hoisin sauce, basil, mint leaf, srirasha or lime couldn't fix it. on top of that, the noodles tasted like rat. its like they boiled the noodles but didn't rinse it and threw it straight into the pho broth. asked for my check and the cocky Asian guy says pay at the counter (in a rude tone). i get to the counter and i ask how much. the cocky Asian guy goes blah blah. i said how much, and he rudely says how much. did i leave a tip? HELL NO!! if i could give 0 stars i would. i would give it for the cocky Asian guy and the tasteless broth in the pho. read more

I was actually on my way to Chic-fil-a when I noticed this pho shop in the same shopping plaza and decided to eat here instead. The food was pretty good and service was great. Shortly after I was seated a woman came over to take my drink order. I noticed that they had a bunch of smoothies and I was particularly interested in the avocado smoothie. I'm a little picky with my avocado smoothies though and I wanted to know if they were made with powder (yuck!) or real avocados. She told me that they were made with half powder and half avocado but stated that if I wanted it made with just avocados, that she could do that also. I asked to make it a little sweet and when she brought it back to my table she said that if it wasn't sweet enough, she could add more. It was perfect. I ordered the grilled pork spring rolls and the Mi soup... I can't remember the name but it had pork dumplings and shrimp in it. Both were really good! We went today during the poor weather in hopes of some rainy day comfort food. Overall I was extremely pleased with the quality of food and the affordable prices. The shrimp rolls were delicious and very fresh. I got the Bún Nem Nuóng (grilled pork meatball vermicelli). The meatballs were well seasoned and the small side of peanuts, cucumbers, and carrots went great with the dish and sweet fish sauce. My husband got the Pho with eye round which had an amazing rich broth. This was a nice change of pace from the fatty foods we've been having. We will be dining here again! read more

I have eaten here so many times and brought coworkers, friends and my family. All are in love with the pho and rice plates. I highly recommend the Ba Lo Lot, meatballs wrapped in mint leaves that you eat with fresh lettuce and carrots. Pho soups are very popular too, veggies are fresh and the broth is tasty. Bon Bu Hue is a spicy beef soup from Hue in Vietnam, they have it here and it's my alternative to pho. Enjoy! read more

I've tried 2 other pho shops around the Lackland area. This spot is by far the best one. Pho Vy is reasonably priced and the Pho is 10X's better than the other places. I've ate at Pho Ha Long and VN Bistro both were barely 2 stars. This place had more Vietnamese people eating here... which is an obvious sign it's damn good. Their menu selection has plenty of good dishes to include the Bo La Lot. As far as the Pho is was damn good. Best place I've had so far. Anyone TDY or traveling at Lackland and have a hankering for PHO this is the spot! read more

I was thoroughly unimpressed with the Pho and service this time. I was tempted to leave a bad review when we went to celebrate my wife's birthday last month, but I didn't because the young girl (I believe the owner's daughter) was so nice and tried very hard to take care of the 8 of us when we went. The owner/manager of the place got frustrated with my son because of the arm flapping and noises he was making going back and forth in the row we were sitting and eating (He is Autistic). I had went to the restroom and while I was in there my wife later told me that the owner was sweeping and when my son came by him that he made an ugly face (Disgust/Mad) as my son passed by him. When I came out of the restroom my wife didn't tell me what had just happened she waited till we got home; she just told me lets go it's time to leave CJ is getting the owner upset. We try to be considerate when it comes to going out to eat by selectively getting seated away (As well as taking things to keep my son's attention occupied) from other people so we don't ruin other people's dining experience. I have been enjoying Pho since first being introduced to it in 1989; today was the first time when my Pho came out almost tasting like menudo with copious amounts of beef fat (minus the two pieces of cubed beef) in my bowl and it also had huge pieces of carrot in it as well. I usually spark up my broth (Both Chicken and Beef) with some Hoisin Sauce and Sriracha but this time it was not the right place for those two complementary ingredients. Never was asked if I needed my tea refilled, they could have cared less if we were there. That will be the last time that my family and I will go there. I have had PHO is several big cities across the country and Pho Vy is one of the best I have ever tasted. The selection of meats and ingredients is great and allows for a customized version of the dish. The broth was well seasoned and all of the "fixins" were fresh as well. Tried the chicken pho here because my favorite pho place was closed during the winter storm. It was the worst pho i ever had, even when I was starving from not having eaten a hot meal in a couple of days. no flavor in the soup, had to practically pour hoisin and Siracha sauce in the soup to be able to eat it. ended up managing a few spoonfuls and throwing the rest away. Horrible experience. Ordered through Door dash tonight. I was at work and could not leave so ordered 2 hours in advance (1) chicken pho and (2) egg rolls. First time ordering from here but the reviews were good so I thought I'd give it a try. What arrives: (1) egg roll and container with the contents fro my Pho BUT no PHO.....really? Like how can you miss that...Also missing (1) egg roll, which by the way are not cheap. So I went without dinner thanks to this place...It's just not that hard. There was a couple with two children standing at the half open door with a lady telling them that they were closed. So they turned away the family and me also. Wish I could have tried the food. I was a little sceptical judging by the outward appearance of the restaurant in a shopping center, but inside is a lovely, clean dining room with a friendly atmosphere. The waitstaff is very helpful if you don't know anything about pho. The pho is phenomenal. They give you generous portions for modest prices. They also have delicious fried pork spring rolls. I'm in love with pho and therefore in love with this place. The broth is flavorful and satisfying to all the senses. The bean sprouts are fresh and crisp. The noodles are taunt. I always order the large bowl as a medium one feels like a tease and would leave me wanting more. The large bowl is like an ammo bowl of noodles and savory broth, able to satisfy most if not all appetites. I can't speak personally to the other items on the menu outside of pho but I can't imagine them being bad as the pho each time I've been to this place has been spot on. Also if you've never tried pho the morning after drinking then you are missing out. It brings you back to 100 like no other. read more

Not a winner. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted with a smile. The music was so loud my husband and couldn't hear each other. They turned it down, but someone kept coming out from the kitchen and turning it back up I had the Pho with brisket. Very bland, and the meat was dry. The broth was decent and the herbs were very fresh. My husband had the combination fried rice. The proteins were cooked to death. The shrimp was rubbery and the chicken was so dry he couldn't eat it. The service was ok, but the two gentleman were too busy on their phone to refill our drinks. We probably could have walked out and no one would've noticed. I'm a pretty adventurous eater. I'll try anything so I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered the Vy Special Rice Plate. The grilled pork chop was tender and flavorful. Rice was fresh and steamed just right. The Vietnamese meatloaf was an interesting part of the plate but good. I think it's seasoned ground pork w vermicelli noodles. The only thing I could've done without was the pork skins. I'm not sure if they're supposed to taste the way they came: cold, super hard and tough with absolutely no flavor. Never had it before so not sure if that's on purpose. Sitting at the table was absolutely uncomfortable. There's no room under the table for your legs to fit. I doubt the table was meant for eating. Came to get 2 combination vermicelli bowls which I didn't get. Spoke to the waiter and he said that's not what I ordered when in fact the person I placed the order with after describing what I wanted said it was the combination vermicelli bowl which came with shrimp, meat and rolls. They charged me 11.25 each bowl. I noticed the menu had there prices lined out but with no adjustments. Im very unhappy on how things were handled and I waited an hour with only 2 tables in site.I would not go there again. A family member of mine worked at this place .. I must say the food is good but when I found out how the restaurant handle things I was completely disgusted! They recycle the veggies that they serve people with the pho!! So whenever the costumers are gone they take the veggies that have been out and touched from the costumers and re use them for others to eat . the service is horrible they never refill your drinks and tend to you to make sure u have everything you need .
