Wow!!! This food is SO good!! I ordered Spring rolls. They are big and they don't skimp!!!! Fresh fresh fresh!!!! I also ordered Pho with beef and meatballs. It was amazing!!!! Flavor is just perfect!! It was hot (temperature wise). I got it all to go. There isn't a sign that says Pho 515, it's inside an international market. Which, I wish I had had more time to browse in! You can also eat in. It's just tucked away! This is a MUsT if you love Vietnamese food!!! Great service!!!!! read more

Their pho is delicious. If it's busy you may be waiting a little longer than expected. If it's not busy, food comes out quickly. They could be more friendlier with their customers. read more

I've almost tried every pho place around Des Moines and this is the best one yet. I used to love homemade pho until I started coming to Cfresh's Pho 515. The soup doesn't even need to be seasoned. They always check on you and the food is timed perfectly. I love it here. read more

Worst cooks , Getting right to the point: ***There was a golf ball size rice BALL that was extremely hard old dry rice. ***1 of the 3 water taste like chlorine. *** the duck was cold, not even room temperature The pho was warm but not enough to even cook a thin slice of meat The good: The pho taste good Services was good read more

The restaurant is in the C Fresh Market and there is no sign anywhere outside, so you'll have to enter the Market to get there. I ordered H tiu nam vang (Phnom penh noodle soup) from their list of Ph 515 specialty on the table (đin't see it on the menu). This has to be the best H tiu nam vang I have ever tried; all the ingredients were there and it's Hu tieu nam vang broth. Many restaurants use ph's broth for this dish but this place has the real soup. If you like h tiu nam vang, you must give this place a try. My husband ordered their Cm 515 (special combination rice with grilled pork) and Vietnamese iced cofee and he liked both. Both price and service were good! read more

So far the most tasty pho in Des Moines that I've tried. We also ordered the pork chop, it was too dried, don't recommend the chop. Egg roll was good. read more

My new favorite for phô. We each had a regular size P1, which was a beef mix, including tripe and meat balls, with flank and other beef bits. I hadn't had tripe before. If wasn't bad, but my favorite part is always the noodles. There are never enough, and I'm left sadly trolling the bottom of the bowl, looking for just a few more. I wish we had time to stroll the aisles. Next time, I will plan for it. But, to get back to the important stuff...really good phô broth. read more

I usually go to Pho 515 (inside C Fresh Market) whenever I have a craving for Vietnamese cuisine. Today I tried their bun bo hue which satisfied my craving, but the broth was a little on the sweet side even after adding hot sauce and fish sauce. They used a different kind of noodle than I'm used to. read more

Seafood pho was very good. Had regular size but couldn't finish it. They did not have sugar cane juice but that's alright. Tables and dining area were clean. Busy place even at 3:00 during the week. Staff was friendly and full of smiles. Unfortunately, another customer forgot their etiquette and was blaring videos on their phone. This was my first visit and will return when I'm nearby. read more

Amazing Pho and best fresh spring rolls ever! All for a fair price. Wonderful to shop the market while waiting for my to go order.

Great place! I didn't think the restaurant inside C fresh was going to be this good. We ordered the combo pho, crab Rangoon, and pad Thai. The total came out to be around $22 and we barely touched the pAd Thai because the portion of the pho was so large. The leftover was great for lunch the next day. The food tasted great and the service was really fast. Next time, I will like to try the roasted duck. read more

Typical vietnamese restaurant in des moines. Their pho is okay, nothing special to rave about. I've been here many times, yet I only had their pho once. Since they're located inside a vietnamese grocery store, it was convenient for me to eat here often. Today I had their special soup ( bun mam), it's my favorite soup of all time and I was ecstatic I no longer need to travel to California to eat this soup. It's not the best, but it's pretty decent. Hopefully they will improve this soup. read more

It is only my first time eating there. I got a to go order pork chop and rice. The wait time was about a average it seemed maybe a tad bit long but it might be because I was bored. Bringing my order home I realized I forgot some of what was on the menu in my order. The food was ok the pork chop with seasoned different than most of the other Vietnamese restaurants around the area. This is not a bad thing it was just different the pork was also very fatty and chewy. The veggies were very fresh and pretty good but that just cucumber lettuce and tomatoes. Unlike most Vietnamese restaurants around the area this is strictly Vietnamese food. read more

My favorite pho place! Review coming from an authentic Vietnamese lady who grew up eating Pho from my grandma, aunties, and parents' The broth is so flavorful, even without dressing it up, and no oil film on top. The meats are always cooked to perfection and taste so heavenly. The crab rangoons are also something to mention, they are made with REAL CRAB MEAT. Not the imitation crab and priced just as fairly as restaurants who use imitation, more affordable crab as an ingredient. I have friends who also love their Bun Bo Hue and their Bun Rieu. Everything is delicious and you know it's good when on New Year's Day after NYE the line is wrapping out the front door of the Asian Market and full of Asian patrons read more

So good!! Love the vibe here great very authentic. In an Asian grocer too so you can take home fresh baked goods, a roasted duck, dragonfruit, and avocado or taro smoothies. Love this place read more

Amazing!!!!! No buts! Customer service is good too!! I can't say if this restaurant is authentic, "but," the food is awesome!!! Located inside C-fresh Market. Usually, there's a line during lunchtime because it's a favorite gem. Pho King awesome place!! read more

Good pho but would like their broth to be much hotter. Always luke warm. Very friendly staff. Gets busy during lunch.

Damn they food is good but really dude how you gonna give me no garnishes or some beef with that pho bro they only gave me shrimp for a $15 bowl of pho read more

Good inexpensive vietnamese food. Had the pho and grilled pork with noodle. Both were good, but the eggrolls were delicious! Got 6 banh mi to go and my total was $39 for everything, not including tip. read more

Low prices, good food. Split some spring rolls (which were huge) and a bahn mi and ordered the large everything pho. Had enough leftover for a second meal. There is zero ambience (it's in a grocery store) but it's clean and friendly. read more

Very fresh!!!! They use ingredients from right there in the store. The broth is amazing in their pho. The herbs you get to pick & choose what the toss in, the meat and veg are on the side so you can put in as much or little as you like! You get a ton of food for the cost. read more

I was really confused about this place at first. It's located inside the market and a bit hidden but Im glad we found it! They were a bit busy for the small place when we arrived so after we got our menus and waters it took a little while for us to get a server. This was probably for the better because they have a pretty expansive menu and it's kind of hard to read at first. The font choice as well as the different language had me all over the place! I decided to go with some Avocado and Tofu spring rolls and the vegetarian pho. There are two size choices for the pho-regular and large and boy am I glad I went with the regular! It was huge! Honestly next time I may ask if they can give me an even smaller size, way too much food-especially with an appetizer! But for those with bigger appetites than me, Its probably perfect! I took almost a full container home of leftovers. Everything came out hot and the wait wasnt too long. The spring rolls were good, tasted really fresh but also a bit bland. The sauce definitely helped. My Pho was delicious! The broth was the perfect thing to warm me up on a below zero temp day. All the vegetables looked and tasted fresh and the tofu was excellent. My friends each got different meals and theres were also huge portions and looked as delicious as mine! One ordered fried tofu as an app and I snagged one of those and immediately regretted being too full to have another! The place is small but it has a lot of character. They have plants all around and the bustle from the market place keeps things interesting. It looked like a place people really felt comfortable hanging out as well as eating. A table near us even had a chess game going on! read more

It is much better than you'd expect for a grocery store restaurant. It is a bit noisy though, but that's to be expected due to location. The menu is very extensive and the service is always quick and friendly. The Pho is better than the other Pho places in town and around the same price point too. Win win. read more

Great Pho. Nothing fancy but the broth tastes really good. Inside C Fresh Market grocery store.

Awful place to eat. The restaurant is dirty and the people are rude especially if you challenge them on the pricing. They advertise one price and charge you another. Pay attention to your bill and add up everything you order, you will find that you are charge much more than the taxes and no manager on site to talk to. After my co-worker and I ask to be charge the price advertise the cashier got upset and made us wait an additional 30 minutes for our food and smoothies. We had to ask her several times to make our smoothie so that we can get back to work. I will never eat here again and would advise others to beware! read more

Best PHO in des moines . The broth is incredible and near perfect ! Staff is excellent and great prices. The crab rangoon is the best ive had in the country !! try it !! If you make your own pho , you can get all the ingredients right in the store there. read more

The "shaken beef" here is delicious! Actual beef cut is the New York strip and it is very apparent in tenderness and texture. Most places just use some average cut of beef, no fat, not at all tender. Not this place. It's very nice to see such care and thought put into this dish to make it stand out over the rest. The only down side is that it is a bit small and could definitely use an expansion to accommodate the many customers. read more

First time having Pho and it did not disappoint, it had a very good combination of noodles, meets, as well as vegetables, and all the flavors mixed very well together to make a good broth at the end as well. I would plan on going more often to try more of their dishes. read more

Great food! The atmosphere is super casual the Spring Rolls and Pho are amazing!

One of my go to restaurant for pho and other dishes. I would give this place a 5 stars or even 6 stars but their Restrooms is SO FILTHY. Its reeks of urine and other foul smells. I am a regular at Pho 515 and have dine here hundred of times. Its not just one time its every time I go there. so I stop using their restroom. Its has the same Foul Dirty, Stinky odors/smells. Its typical Asian restaurant, more concern about making money than being clean. This is by far THE WORST of them all in the Des Moines metro area. Probably hasn't been clean for years. I am surprised that they pass Health inspection. Not trying to single out asian business cuz I'm asian myself and hopefully the Owner see this review and get someone to clean it. I DO NOT use their restroom B4 or after a meals there anymore. That would be waste of money when you lose your lunch. read more

Best Pho in Des Moines. The atmosphere is not fancy for being in a grocery store, but their food is excellent and prices are great. They give good quantities and the taste is authentic. They have a very large selection. read more

Love the food, but really small space. The business is so popular, so when it's busy, it takes a bit to get seated. The staff is really nice. When is busy, the servers are running around a bit so it's harder to get their attention. But they are fast at getting your food in front of you, and even when busy, they are polite. Just wish the place was bigger or a stand-alone restaurant, and not in the grocery store. read more

I have always wanted to visit Pho 515 because of the rave reviews and yesterday was our first visit for dinner. It's inside the C fresh market and the ambience isn't great at all. Every time I enter C fresh, I have to get past the funky sea food smell because of the fresh fish market at the back of the store. They recently renovated the restaurant, so it looks spacious & cleaner. Ordered the regular vegetable pho in beef broth, which we spilt as it was huge for 1 person to eat. It tasted delicious with good amount of vegetables and basil & bean sprouts on the side. However, a negative that I associate with pho is that my husband who is (very mildly) histamine intolerant always gets a reaction to pho. It was no different in this case as his arms & legs started tingling and getting slightly numb immediately after consuming pho. I'm not sure if it's some ingredient in pho like the fish sauce or the MSG that makes him react. So, those who are histamine intolerant or have food sensitivities should be cautious with pho. I don't have any allergies or food sensitivities so pho doesn't affect me the same way. But I did feel lethargic after reaching home and very sleepy (perhaps bcoz the rice noodles in pho are high in carbs). I also suspect they put MSG in the pho because both of us felt very thirsty too. Next time, I'm going to ask if they add MSG & update this review. Aside from the pho reaction and that I find pho to be overrated, I really liked the pho (better than the one at Fawn's restaurant). The broth was delicious on its own without adding any of the sauces & the price was cheap for such a huge bowl. We also ordered the combination fried rice, consisting of pork, shrimp, beef, Chinese sausage, chicken and veggies. It was flavorful & came with this nice broth bowl. Flavor wise, I love it better than the blander Japanese fried rice at Wasabi chi. The only negative that is personal to me is that I found the pork to be gamey and didn't like the sweetness of the Chinese sausage so next time I will opt for the vegetable tofu fried rice. I will certainly be back to try out their appetizers, smoothies & pad Thai. read more

Awesome Pho place located inside of Cfresh Market. A "Must GO" restuarant if you love your Pho as much as I do. Really busy in at Lunch hour so try to catch them before or after. Although the waiting line may be 10-15 minutes during rush hour, but food arrives within 5-10 minutes after ordering. Great Pho Fast Service! That probably why so many people come here for lunch hour. The downside- atmosphere is like a deli or eat in area of a grocery store ( because it is) but the owner showed me remodeling plans for the next few weeks in preparation of the grand opening. You have to pay first like other delis before you get your food, but again that saves the waiter time on taking orders and bring out your food. You win some you lose some. Maybe others mind, but for me I don't care about paying in advance as long as I know my food is delicious. Looking forward to Eating here again! P.S. It's probably also the only place you can get a nice bowl of Pho in the DM Metro as early as 9 am. read more

Walk into C Fresh Market-which is very close to Mercy Medical Center-and this little gem of a restaurant is inside. Enter and turn immediately to your left. You are about to experience a no frills, hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant with AMAZING food. Admittedly, I have only tried the pho, but a large P1 (Combination Special-brisket, beef, tripe, tendon, flank) makes me happy for the rest of the day. The flavor of the broth is divine, the pho is packed with a good amount of carnivorous treats, and the accompanying garnish plate is generous and fresh (you are in an ethnic grocery store with a strong Asian bias after all). This restaurant, along with Pho All Seasons on the East Side, is a testimony to the extremely high quality of Vietnamese food in the Des Moines metro area. Service is very good-water is refilled regularly, and servers are pleasant, helpful, and hard-working. Everything to spice up your meal is on the table, including hot chili oil. Prices are reasonable (at the time of this review, reg pho-$6.95, large pho $8.50-slightly-i.e. less than $1-higher for seafood/shrimp options). When you are done with your meal, walk up to the register to pay and you are good to go. Credit cards accepted with a minimum of $5 if I recall correctly. In short, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED-IMO one of the top Vietnamese restaurants in the entire metro area in terms of food and service-and that is saying something! read more

Loved it. You go for the amazing food. Like in NY you find the best food at the dumpiest place in Chinatown... Only this place is better

Good service, always accommodating. Great prices. Pho broth is usually good. Sometimes they have an off day. Everything else I've had here is good. If I don't have time or energy to make pho at home, this is my go to place. read more

I loved this restaurant. It had great food ! My fave was the p2 . And the fire cracker shrimp was my fave until it was taken off the menu. I hope they practice better cleanliness. read more
