I finally came here for some pho and loved it! I was super excited when a pho restaurant came to Bethany because it's in the neighborhood and I don't have to drive far. My husband and I got the Vietnamese egg rolls for starters and I can tell you that they were the best fried spring rolls I've ever had. I was not expecting that! He ordered chicken fried rice for his entree and loved it. I got the P10, veggie pho with veg broth. I've never had pho with veggie broth, but it was surprisingly delicious. After I ordered it with veg broth I immediate regretted it thinking it wouldn't be as tasty, but like I said, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. This bowl was LoADeD with lots of veggies, tofu, and noodles. I was in heaven! I'm usually a "happy plate" kind of girl, but i ended up taking my pho to go because there was so much food and I love that! Staff was super nice. Kept our water filled and made sure everything was good. Keep in mind, if you order veg broth it'll take a little longer for you pho to come out, but it'll be worth it. I love the location, it's close to my daughters school. The dinning room is always clean and the natural light always makes it feel roomy and open. I have always enjoyed the braised duck soup, the fire cracker shrimp/egg roll, and Korean beef is my fav. They charge a $1 Togo fee FYI so consider that when leaving a Togo tip. I prefer to eat there when I have time. If I have to get my order Togo I need to make sure that I check my order before leaving because I've have a couple mix ups. read more

This place is one of my favorites. I go at least once a week. I know a problem, right? The Phó is so delicious. The broth is so good!! You know it's going to be awesome when you can smell all the spices and you get a lot in this soup, meat, veggies and it's all very fresh. They customize my kids food too! They typically get the egg noodles (dry) with chicken and it is very yummy. We have also had the shrimp fried rice and it was amazing! I absolutely devour the fried egg rolls. I live in NW OKC, close to piedmont, so driving to the Asian district to get my fix of Pho is a hassle. I decided to come into Pho 3Nine since it is closer to my house. I'm glad that I came in because it was actually pretty good. I read a previous review saying that the slices of meat were small and although they are a bit small, the broth itself has good flavor. It wasn't too heavy or too fatty which I liked. I'm pretty sure my server was the owner, Kathy Q. She was attentive and kept my water filled which is a pet peeve of mine when dining out. I could over hear her helping other customers that had questions about the menu. Pricing was fair. The establishment itself was clean unlike most Pho places. I think they should add some napkin dispensers to the the table but I always use a lot of napkins so that's a personal preference. There are about 2 or 3 pho shops in the OKC area that I deem worth going out into the city to have a hot bowl of pho from. I'll have to add another to the list! Pho 39 has a certain feel and vibe to their dining experience and food that is unique to themselves. Let's start with the decor and service. The new restaurant is bright and fun inside with artful walls and a surprisingly spacious dining area despite how small it initially looks from the outside. Cleanliness and comfort are not at all an issue. The staff and service are top notch and more than willing to help you out with your menu options if you find yourself unfamiliar with Vietnamese food. Now let's get to the food. Pho 39 has all of the staple menu items of a typical pho restaurant, from drinks and appetizers to various noodle bowls and rice platters. I decided to go with a bowl of pho noodles with the rare filet mignon and brisket (Pho Tai Chin Nam). There are 3 things I look for in a good bowl of pho: 1) A flavorful and brown, yet clear and translucent broth that needs little to no help from a single wedge of lime and bottles of Hoisin sauce and Sriracha. 2) A healthy meat to noodle ratio. 3) I'm full but don't feel like I just ingested an entire baby cow. Check. Check. Check. In addition, it was my first time trying sliced rare filet mignon in my pho and it was such a game-changer, I'm not sure I can have rare steak (tai) in my pho again unless it's this tender and tasty. Completely worth the extra charge for the upgrade. It was such a satisfying bowl of pho I would be remiss not to frequent Pho 39 again. A pho place in Bethany! It was hot the day I visited, so I was looking for something a little cooler to eat. The pork and eggroll bun fit the bill. The grilled pork had a great smokey flavor and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. I had a couple of spoonfuls of my dining companion's pho. The broth was light and layered with flavors. Today I got the oxtail pho special. I was disappointed to find that it was only available in the large size. Fortunately, I was rather hungry, so that was a portion size I could handle. The oxtail pho came with two oxtails. I had to ask for a knife to be able to dig out some of the delicious meat hanging to the oxtail. Otherwise, it was just as tender as the oxtails that you might have at Florence's on NE 23rd Street or Carican Flavors on MLK Jr. Blvd. The pho broth was just what I needed on a somewhat cold day in Bethany. I took another friend to lunch with me. He had never eaten at a Vietnamese restaurant before, so I advised him to get the lunch special with pork. He ate all of it and enjoyed every bite. This place is a favorite for me and my son. We usually start with the cream cheese wontons with sweet chili sauce (so good!) and each get the beef/brisket pho. The meat is very tender and the limes and basil are always fresh looking and not wilted or brown. The restaurant itself is clean and bright with pretty artwork. Service is always on point. They are friendly and efficient but don't seem like they're rushing you. My food always comes out pretty quickly so this is a good spot for a lunch break or for dinner. read more

Flavor was on point and very flavorful. My husband gave the bo kho a 7 out 10, because it lacked a bit flavor. The boys fried rice was delish. Can't go wrong w that. The reason why I'm giving it a 4 is because the flies in there were ridiculous. Not fun having to eat and try to shoo flies away at the same time. It kind of ruined my dining experience. I usually get a regular pho bowl with brisket and tripe - the noodles are perfectly cooked, the broth is full of flavor and piping hot, and the brisket practically melts in your mouth. The best part might be the fresh coconut that they sell! They literally give you the entire coconut to eat! Brought a friend in today and she agreed on my constant raving. Took the opportunity of a rainy day to try this new-ish pho place so close to my house. The wait staff was nice and timely. We both ordered hot tea, which was served individually and with no refills. I guess we are spoiled, as we are used to sharing a large pot of tea that contains enough for many pours. We started with the shrimp and pork spring rolls, which tasted a little too "shrimpy" for my taste, but what should I expect from a landlocked state. The peanut sauce was also too thin and was starting to separate. My S/O had the veggie pho (P10), which is our usual order, but I like to judge a new pho place by the beef broth, so I had the P2 (steak pho) and thoroughly enjoyed the entire bowl. I was worried the regular size was too small, but the bowl was deceiving and it was plenty! The flavor of the beef broth was rich and deep. The veggie broth was definitely lighter, but still really delicious. Perfectly cooked noodles and steak. I was jealous at the tons of veggies and tofu that filled his bowl, so that will likely become my regular order. I was happy to see many people coming in and getting take-out, too. The "large" is not very large at all. The price is up and around the same as any other pho joint, but not as much bang for your buck. Granted, I'm a big guy, so I eat more than most. I just left the shop and while waiting on my order of the P10 with vege broth, add meatballs and no tofu. Then a P10 with regular broth, add brisket and no tofu. I can hear the cook bitching now about how it doesn't make sense. I ordered it this way bc they do not have anything on the menu to order extra vegetables. Plus he is harassing the nice lady who took my order. All I wanted was extra veggies of the carrots, broccoli etc. Last time we ate here with the same order they added extra limes and bean sprouts. The food is good but I don't need to hear them complaining about my order. Plus I've been sick and this is the only thing that my stomach will handle right now. Glad I got 2 orders to go. Not sure about going back. We all need to be nice to each other. The world is full of rude mean people. Even the other customers eating there could here the cook. I have definitely found my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Pho 39 completely surpassed my expectations and took my tastebuds on a ride full of flavor! I ordered take out combination pho, combination fried rice, grilled pork spring rolls, shrimp spring rolls and the house vermicelli. The freshness and robust flavors left a lasting impression! The pho broth was full bodied, seasoned, coupled with the fresh, crisp veggies and noodles that were nice prepped in a bowl leaving no assembly when I got home. It was ready for me to just pour and enjoy. The fried rice had delicious chunks of meat with a nice balance of rice. You could taste everything in every bite. Now the spring rolls were top notch, but once I dipped them in the peanut sauce......it was orgasmic I could put that stuff on anything! The vermicelli did not disappoint.
