The exact reaction I had that beautiful day

Phil can gril my grill because holy hot jumbalaya that was amazing! My whole perspective on food has completely changed and now nothing can taste as good as what I ate that day. Anyone can cook

This is a sprawling restaurant with two names Quill Creek Cafe and Phil's Grill but it's all the same menu. They have two very, very large patios which face north and maybe a little east so you really don't get much direct sun in the afternoon or evening unless you sit far away from the building and covered terrace. They have lots of outdoor heaters so if you do want to sit outside when it's cool they can fire those up for you. They even have TVs so you can see whatever sports event they may have on. Phil's Grill is a little more golf club-like in its atmosphere. They only have happy hour on Wednesdays so make a note. The menus are fairly common American food. They do have some calamari and nachos but other than that it's pretty standard salads, sandwiches and a few meat and seafood entrées. It's safe to come here for a decent meal but it's not a "dining destination" in my opinion. The atmosphere is quite the draw especially if you are out on the patio. We had a black Manhattan which was nicely not too sweet at all and a grande margarita which was a monster in size. Both were tasty and priced at $14 and $20 respectively. We enjoyed the calamari which came out on a large cast-iron skillet, it had lots of pepperoncini slices over it and a sweet Thai chili sauce. The rings were very, very small but they were very tender. A buffalo roasted cauliflower wedge salad was interesting and I added blackened chicken. I needed a little more dressing and I would've preferred fresh raw onions to the crispy onions that were served with it but all in all it was very good. The chicken sandwich was decent as well. Fairly certain that we will return given the venue and the proximity to our lodging. Most likely will try happy hour as we had some wings here in the past and they were tasty!

I don't eat at golf courses much, primarily because the ones that have food available close to home are less than desirable; but a lunch meeting for business brought me to Phil's. We ate out on the patio with a view that made concentrating on conversations a bit more difficult. Sunny, 80 degrees, light breeze. It would take a lot of that to hurt a guy. Service was excellent. Friendly and providing just enough attention to make sure our drinks were full and our meals were meeting expectations. I had the Prime Rib sub. A coworker had a salad with perfectly seared tuna. Both were excellent; cooked and seasoned just right, hot, and perfectly portioned. The price is a bit higher than a non-golf course seated meal, but as expected for the view, quality of food, and excellent service. Highly recommended!

Great spot, really good chicken nachos!!!

This is a cool little bar at Grayhawk Golf Club. I have to comment on the turkey and avocado sandwich. It was really fantastic!

Wifey started with the strawberry salad which was very large and had a wonderful dressing. Easily could have feed two. Went with the lamb entree which was cooked to perfection. Three chops presented on cauliflower mash and mint herbs. Superb choice. I took a step of faith and tried the Wagu beef appetizer. It was terrific. Chunks of beet on short skewers and wrapped with a large basal leaf. The beef itself was exceptionally good. For an entree, I went with the New York strip with a side of asparagus and off the cobb corn elote. The strip was slightly overcooked, I ordered medium and it came well done. Bummer! Asparagus was very grilled and tender. We wrapped up the meal with two pieces of Flan topped with coconut. Delightful ! Restaurant is a little unusual with respect to layout but very functional. Service, by Mel, was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our experience. Bring your wallet. High recommend without any reservations.

Service was good, food took a little while but it was beautiful on the patio so we didn't mind enjoying our time together. Food was okay. The tri tip kabob was a 10/10. Guac was good, their specialty chicken dish was not my favorite and my wife got the chicken tacos which she thought were decent. Overall it was fine, wasn't bad but wasn't worth the price.

I visited Belmont for my birthday dinner with close friends from out of town and had never been to the restaurant before. We were seated outside on a colder night but they had plenty of heaters and blankets available to keep you warm. The vibe is upscale, classy, and gives off that of a speakeasy. This is a place where you want to dress up. I personally wore a sport coat and slacks; many of the other men in the restaurant did the same...defiantly NO jeans here. For food, we ordered the butternut squash ravioli which was probably the BEST THING I ATE IN A WHILE. The sauce was flavorful, ravioli fresh, and wow just wow...I could have easily eaten 5 servings it was that good. For my main I ordered the Filet and my friends ordered the beef short rib and gnocchi. The filet was perfectly seared and served with potatoes which were a little rich but still very good. The beef short rib and gnocchi dishes look very very good and my friends raved about them. I had a taste of the short rib and will be ordering this next time. Everything was just fantastic and the portions are on the larger side so come hungry. We did not order any drinks but did see there was a ferris wheel drink tower and many other delectable wines/cocktails available. Given this was for my birthday, the waiter brought out a special chocolate dessert which was more than enough to share. Overall, the experience was fantastic, so much so I asked to speak to the owner and manager. The owner Phil and manager Alex were very professional, kind, and thankful for us choosing to celebrate/dine at Belmont. These are GOOD people and everything about the Belmont makes me want to go back and support them even more. Cheers to the Belmont, I will be back!

We were seated in the back since we were a larger party, which was a little disappointing - the front area felt much more lively. We didn't realize we could request seating closer to the front, but to their credit, they did turn the music up a bit, which helped the atmosphere. The service was okay - not bad, but a little on the mediocre side. That said, the food definitely made up for it. The Wagyu steak was absolutely delicious, and the appetizers were solid as well. Even with a few small hiccups, it was still a great experience and a fun night out. We would definitely go back and would just ask to sit closer to the front next time.

Many…read morepeople have advised me to stay away, claiming the place is overhyped and that there are better options available. However, every time we visited in the past, we had a great experience--until this last visit. We made a reservation for 7:45 PM but didn't get seated until 8:30 PM. While this isn't terrible, it can be challenging when you have a little one with you, but it's to be expected as a parent. Once we were at our table, we ordered drinks and food for the kids. My wife ordered a cocktail, and I opted for an Old Fashioned. The kids ordered pasta and a cheese pizza. This is when things started to go downhill. The pasta was okay, but the pizza had a few hairs on it--more than one, in fact. This made us uncomfortable, so we informed the waiter, and they addressed the issue promptly. As we waited for the new pizza, our drinks arrived, and they were nicely presented. However, while sipping my Old Fashioned, I noticed something unusual in my drink--Tajin. Curious, I asked the waiter if this was a special variation of the Old Fashioned. She replied no, so I pointed out the issue in my glass, and she confirmed she saw the Tajin as well. I felt she was treating it as if it was acceptable, which it clearly wasn't, so I looked at her, signaling that I would like a new drink. (I wish I had taken pictures.) Following that, our main dishes started to arrive. My wife ordered a wagyu steak, and I had the pork loin. Unfortunately, we began to analyze everything after the earlier mishaps, and the vibe of the experience was completely lost. To make matters worse, we were still charged for the pizza that had hair on it and the drink that had the issue. With all that being said, I've decided I will no longer be dining here.

Our party knew the head chef and he was so friendly and kind when he came to visit our table. The waiter also helped us pick a lovely dessert for my husband's birthday - it was a chocolate mousse dessert shaped as a cactus desert landscape with all elements edible. Absolute perfection! And all flavored like smore's. The restaurant is large but cozy and the perfect casual dining spot located on the property. Would definitely return for the food and friendly staff!

Good drinks, great music, friendly service, and tasty food. What more do you need to know?…read more The place gets busy, so it is probably a good idea to make a reservation. We got lucky and secured one in the middle of the dinner rush, which meant we were able to eat at prime time at a local favorite. We arrived a bit early, so we stopped by the bar for cocktails and ordered the Paloma Spritz and the El Matador. I am not usually a cocktail person since many tend to be too sweet, but the bartender made an effort to tone down the sweetness, which I appreciated. For food, we ordered the soft pretzels with provolone dip, which is apparently a must-have, along with the spicy shrimp crispy rice and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The pretzels and cheese did not disappoint. The pizza was solid for a Detroit-style pie, with dough that was airy and light rather than dense. The spicy shrimp crispy rice was good (My pic shows two pieces, but the dish comes with four. I forgot to take a picture before we started eating). The rice itself was done very well, though I would have preferred a bit more spice and no mint garnish. And the monkey bread and ice cream rounded the meal off just right. I know Culinary Dropout is a small chain, but if I get another opportunity to visit another location, I would definitely check it out if the experience is as good as this one.

We wish we could remember her name to give her credit! On May 12th, one in our party received a filthy menu. When the menu was taken to the front desk, the reply was that the menu was wet from a water glass. HUMM, no one on our table had been given water yet! Then it was, "oh it is the menu sanitizer", REALLY? No apologies. Off to go wash hands...cool, modern bathroom! Some of the food highlights from our 2 dinners: The pigs in a blanket came with a tasty honey mustard dip. The prosciutto deviled eggs were delicious, but salty and I didn't think all the saltiness came from the finely diced prosciutto. The chopped chicken salad was a hearty portion and had a nice mix of contents. The chicken katsu sandwich was a really good concept/idea with a great execution. The prime rib dip was very tender, the bread was soft, and the sandwich was not any saltier than what is offered elsewhere. The spicy rigatoni had a little kick, wonderfully elevated comfort food. A perfect stick to your ribs Italian dish!. The monkey bread was raved about and devoured.
