This is my nail salon to indulge. The parking is okay but this is for sure a girls day out type place. Just take the train, or do street parking. Whatever is easier. Bring cash. They have wine and CALL BEFORE YOU SHOW UP!!!!! Word to the wise, we foolishly did not call before we arrived and it was a 45 minute wait. They do have 2 floors but boy was it crowded on a Sunday no less. They have a bunch of nice colors, they do deals during the week and did a mention they have wine sometimes? i doubt they would even mind if you brought your own, but use caution this is not a bar. read more

I have tried this salon twice now. Very easy to get to on public transportation. I was waited on by Mia, very warm and friendly. The deluxe pedicure is ok, they use some type of flavored "something" to soak your feet and rub into your legs (sorry I forgot what they called it). I like to get nail designs when I get my refills, not really impressed with the outcome but because I like Mia I don't really mind. I'll try one more time before I look for a new salon. read more

As a potential first time client this is a huge let down. I scheduled via the website at 8:14am this morning. The appointment was for 10:30am. I arrived on time only to find out from the woman at the front desk that she cancelled my appointment because they couldn't accommodate me. I check my phone to find out that they cancelled my appointment at 10:21am while I was enroute. Why not call?! My fave nail salon in South Philly for the following reasons: 1) Wide range of colors including SNS which is really hard to find 2) Nail technicians are nice, I've had my nails done by Jen, Tina, and Hanna and I've been happy with them all 3) Great prices, unbeatable actually 4) Spa pedicures are great because they include paraffin wax treatment and a scent of your choice for only $5 more. They line the spa bins with disposable plastic to stay sanitary. 5) They can do cool designs if you show them pictures. 6) They have all types of nail powders, gels, mood changing gel, etc. Really cool nail bling but make sure you have a specific design in mind. I really don't like giving negative reviews. So I'll start with the good things and move on to the bad. I literally read every single yelp review before going to this place. I got in around 930a on a Friday, and they were able to see me right away as a walk in which was cool. First off, Kim did my gel pedicure. It was really nice. I have some sad and broken toes (why I don't usually go for pedis), but Kim was so gentle. It was awesome. I definitely recommend the spa pedicure. Beyond the pedicure, everything was... not the best. The service itself was lovely. everyone was super friendly, but it started with a long conversation on whether or not they could do UV gel extensions. They could, but I wasn't keen on the 45+minute wait, and the other woman I talked to seemed to really want to talk me out of it, so I opted for acrylics. I had a very specific photo of what I wanted, and it seemed easy enough so I wasnt worried. The tips went on, and off the bat I mentioned that there were a few fingers that were crooked. I was assured they would be fixed during filing, so I just chilled. The acrylic goop went on next, and dear god it was THICK. Like, unnecessarily so. I just guessed it would be filed down. I mentioned again that the nails were crooked after the first filing and she said she'd take care of it. So the filing continued, and I kept having to ask for them to be less crooked and more almond shaped. Once they were okay-ish (they're still. freaking. crooked). We moved on to the color. I opted for a white base with an ombre style glitter. Once the white went on, and the glitter started, it became VERY clear that I wasn't going to get what I wanted so I just asked her to glitter the whole nail so I could go home. The color is beautiful and they look okay, but still. I left around 1245p, and walked home having spent $75 for crooked nails in a color/shape/design I didn't want, and being progressively less happy with my nails. 2 stars: For Kim, my awesome pedicure, the ambiance of the shop, and how nice everyone was. -3 stars: I didn't get what I wanted, in spite of actively asking for it and having a photo for reference. read more

Four visits later and I'm still in love. They do great work on $20 gel nails ($32 UV) and waxing services - all of them ;-) - too! Mon-Wed-Fri is where it's at: $28 for a mani-pedi! Very sweet staff. Great choice of colours for polish including gels which is killer. They don't really use opi gel base which is the only one that works for me (but has trashed my nails so I can understand why). Their selection of acrylic colours is insane. I mean I was like a kid in a candy store. Had a hard time picking since I don't want to be changing this frequently. See my pic in photos here. I travelled here after reading lots of reviews from lots of different places. I live in the Northwest section of the city so I was taking a gamble coming to South Philly for my UV Gel Extensions & a Pedicure. I'm so happy I did! Lana is amazing! She explained the process of the Gel Extensions. She was personable and we chatted a bit. My first time getting coffin shaped nails and I love them! Chrissy is so sweet! She did my pedicure and my nail art. The best pedicure I've ever had. She wasn't clipping my skin or hurting me like some places do. I'm very indecisive. She helped me narrow down my nail design choices. She is so humble. She even suggest I come back and have Sue do my nails because she's the go to for designs. But believe me, I LOVED what Chrissy did and I will gladly come back to her! Overall, come here to get your nails done. After reading lots and lots of reviews on this and other nail salons in South Philly, I just had my nails done here by Meily and loved her. I had acrylics on but was tired of them and wanted a more natural manicure. I've been places where they rip the acrylics off for removal, but Meily took the time to soak my nails and file them down, leaving a little so my nails wouldn't be so thin and brittle. She explained it to me before she started and said it would take longer but would be better for my nails in the long run, and I love that she did that. She really took her time with me. I got a gel manicure after the acrylics were off, and I'm in love with how they look. She asked what color I had in mind, I told her what I was thinking, and the first color she grabbed was perfect. My nails look really pretty and natural, and they feel good! This is not my neighborhood salon, but I will definitely be going back. I am highly frustrated with this place and will not be returning... First time I came, I came in here to get my acrylic removed. Waited a half hour for for someone to finally soak my nails and helped me between people (which I appreciated) but it took me over an hour just to be done ...I liked the girl so I figured I'd try her again to actually do my nails... Second visit, I called and asked to have her do my nails. They said she was with someone but in about 15 minutes or so she should be done. Well I finish up and walk over...waited 45 minutes for someone. The girl I called for just started a pedicure and still had a full set to do!!!! Finally get helped and the girl did a nice job (even though the color i picked ran out and had to switch - which appears to be a common trend with their polishes). Issue was, when she went to cut out my ingrown toe nails (eww sorry) she was too aggressive and aggravated my big toe. It was sore and slightly puffy all week. Third time really was a charm....I wanted to try somewhere new but they're open late and I was in a jam....girl I get help me pick a color and gave me the color SHE wanted. Asked me if the water was okay. I said it was too warm she laughed and told me no it was fine and wouldn't fix it! Then asked if I wanted my toes cut. I said yes then she said they're too short already (but they weren't...) then painted them in the color SHE wanted and i didn't like it and she gave me an attitude. I asked if they gave samples of the gel colors she said no they don't have them and was giving me attitude like she couldn't help me. I was done...over it. Then as I'm getting my nails done the girl next to me was telling the lady to make her nails even and one length - like what?! How can you done someone's nails all different lengths!! I can't say enough good things about this place. People travel from all over the city to come to this salon- East Falls, Center City etc. I've been in the neighborhood for 10 years and the service and prices have always been phenomenal. I brought my niece in with me. I got a pedicure while she got the "Princess Package" where they soak her feet, and paint her nails and toenails. They take SUCH good care of us and everyone in the salon was saying hi, asking my niece about her nails etc. It is such a great experience for her and for me too (obviously I'm the favorite Aunt now ;-p)! Also- I didn't have to sit on top of her the whole time- the staff took good care of her from helping take her shoes off to setting my phone up for her to use "hands-free" to getting her under the nail dryers. There are a lot of little salons in and around South Philly but I promise you, if you come here you won't be disappointed! Incredible value for the price and a super-friendly salon experience. Ladies - VERY effective and meticulously done Brazilian wax in South Philly, for $50. What else do I need to say? Where else are you gonna go? All the way uptown to the Russian woman who sometimes verbally abuses her customers? Or to Rittenhouse for a $100 "spa experience" when all you want is for your lady-parts to be smooth? Meh - too much trouble. Lana was great, fast, friendly and as pain-free as any Brazilian I have had (and I have had many). I will be going back for other services, she was great. The place isnt a Rittenhouse spa, it's a small South Philly nail salon - don't expect too many frills in the waxing room, which doubles as their spray tanning room. If you dont know what to talk about when another human female has her face as close to your bits as any boyfriend/husband or doctor ever has, just strike up a conversation about the weather ;-) read more

First time trying this place and it was ok. The staff was super friendly; however their nail polish wasn't the best quality. My polish was wrinkly looking and kept getting bubbles. They even tried putting another coat and that didn't work. It might be the polish I picked. I'll try the place again but with a different polish. read more

So my appointment today was for 10:30 but I couldn't make it , so I called to reschedule and I'm glad they were able to take me . Usually around the holiday it starts to get real busy . So it was very nice of them . With that being said , my nail tech Susan did such an amazing job on my nails I couldn't be any happier . She was very sweet and gentle with my hands . I'm more satisfied then ever . I have to say I finally found my go to nail salon after searching for five years . The gel polish actually lasted pretty long . Two weeks past and no chip at all . So that's a plus . I also got my eyebrows done and I'm happy with the result . It was a nice clean up and not very thin looking like any other salon have you leaving with . read more

The girl that did my nails was really nice and the prices are cheap but you literally get what you pay for. Don't expect lotion, finger cleaned up etc. I asked for straight long nails, I received stiletto cut... my pedicure..... whole other story. Do NOT get a pedicure here. She cut my big toe nails all the way past my skin. When I took off my Socks when I got home, there was blood on both my toes and socks. My toe Nail polish also looks awful. Not going back. read more

Finally glad I found a clean, cheap, friendly salon that's not in center city and closer to me in South Philly. I wouldn't suggest parking out front on Broad except Sunday, as this is 2 hour old school meter parking and your nails will take quite a bit. You don't want to be running out with wet toes having to refill the meter. The place is a bit small but offers everything from manis and pedis to Brazilian wax to eyebrow shapeups and much more. There seemed to be about 6 or so pedicure stations and I didn't have a problem getting a chair as a walk-in client without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon. It does fill up quite quickly though, so get here a little earlier if possible. My pedicure was awesome, complete with a nice lotion/cellophane heat wrap for my rough heels while she painted my nails, as well as a sugary scrub for my ankles and shins. There seemed to be enough manicure stations. It's just a matter of the amount of people on staff that day. Just cause there's 5 or 6 manicure stations doesn't mean there's 5 or 6 people to help you. I only took off a star because I, as a nail biter, needed acrylics with a gel manicure as opposed to the regular manicure and only one person in the whole place knows how to do it, which is surprising. The woman who did my pedicure transferred me to the manicure station and when I told her I wanted acrylics she said she can't do it and that Lana is the only one who can do it, so that added about 30-40 minutes extra wait time while I waited for Lana to start and finish a whole other client. It wasn't a huge deal as I had nowhere to go and didn't mind waiting, but it's helpful to know for the next time I go there. Maybe I should stop biting my nails is the moral of this story. Either way, Lana did a speedy, efficient job on my acrylics and my gel manicure color and she accommodated my request to round out the square edges of my fake nails a bit. They have a wide variety of gel manicure colors but I wasn't able to get one to match the toe color I had just gotten done, which is the only problem if you want a matching set. Overall, the staff was very friendly and my acrylic set, gel manicure, and pedicure only ran me $50 total. I will definitely be back here as a repeat client. read more

I like that the customers and manicurists are friendly- there's always someone to strike up a conversation with. Vivi did my nails the other day and we were talking about my upcoming wedding, and she actually put a note on her calendar to pray for good weather for me. How sweet! The owner was very rude to me and had the nerve to tell me I complain to much. Plus there manicures suck. The polish would chip after 2 weeks on my hands. I will NEVER come back here again.
