Stopped on the way through for a quick lunch. They gladly took my kid's very specific burger order and got our food out quickly. My kid gives it a 9 out of 10; the burger was so large that he couldn't finish it, which may be a first! The cheesesteak, wings and quesadillas were really good too. My daughter got the grilled chicken salad, her friend a Philly & fries and I opted for the Philly salad. The amount of food you get for the price is great! The Philly looked delicious and my daughters friend enjoyed it! My daughter liked the chicken salad but I really loved the Philly salad! It was loaded with meat and cheese and crisp veggies! My husband and I drive by Meriden Rd all the time and we always say let's try this new place. Now fast forward to two weeks ago and we finally got around to trying this place. I pictured being in Philadelphia, outside Lincoln Financial Field, having eaten a cheesesteak. This place is just that good. The size is great and the portion on the sides are fabulous. I am so glad this place opened because we have been needing different restaurants to give this city a little more diversity in that aspect. The second time we came here, I witnessed an employee hold open the door for a customer who had her hands full and there was a genuine smile on his face. This feels like the gem in Waterbury that was greatly needed. Hats off to Philly Grill! read more

The mango habanero wings are amazing filled with great spices and not your typical hot wings you get. Also, the Philly cheese steak wrap tastes great as well especially with the toppings you want to put on it including lettuce, tomato, onions,etc everything is well-cooked. My friends and I decided to try Philly Grill today. We walked in and the people were super friendly. It took us a few minutes to decide what we all wanted. One friend ordered the Philly Salad (minus tomato and mushrooms). My other friend ordered the Lamb & Beef Gyro Combo with a side of Mozzarella Sticks. I got the Moo Cluck Burger (with Pepperjack Cheese) Combo. Our combos came with small fries and drink (although the cashier asked if we wanted large). The portions were more than adequate. While I can't speak for my friends, my food was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. While there weren't a lot of customers in the restaurant when we got there, it had a steady stream of people coming in to pick up orders or to get orders to go. I am definitely looking forward to trying their Philly Steak Sandwich. One other thing I should mention is the cleanliness. It was very clean and had enough seating that even though we were the only ones dining in, there wouldn't have been a long wait if we weren't. I was surprised at how good this Philly was. They stuffed it good and they don't skimp on the cheese. I was watching him pull the ingredients and it looked like quality stuff. They are very generous with the bacon and it is real bacon that they fry up, not some processed crumbs.
