Delicious cheesesteaks (from a Philly native) but the fries are tasteless. Normally don't order them, but it was a BOGO deal with a side order. Even adding salt & ketchup didn't help. read more

I will keep this review short and sweet. I've come to Philly Grill a few times. The service has been friendly on each visit. I was excited when I first walked in and saw all of the Philly paraphernalia on the walls. They do serve beer here. They don't have cheez whiz here. Instead they use a melted cheddar cheese that should only go with nachos or a hot dog in my opinion. I guess this is why they don't want you asking them who is from Philly lol. They do put a decent amount of meat on the sandwich. They don't season the meat which is a no no in my book. The roll is toasted on the grill. The cheese steak here is OK at best. The only thing Philly about this place is the fact that they use Amoroso rolls and that's it. read more

Still excellent hero's. Put together with cate. Brought to tables hit. Terrific French Fries.

This was hands down the worst cheesesteak I've ever had. Never in my life have I not been able to finish a steak, until today. I understand we are far from Philly, but this was an absolute embarrassment for those of us from the city. The whiz tasted like hollandaise and was thick, the roll fell apart halfway through, and the steak had no flavor whatsoever. I would not recommend this place. read more

Best Philly Cheese steak sandwich ever! I won't be able to order one any place else. Thank you read more

Food here is really good. I've been visiting this place on Mondays fairly regularly for about a year or so when I learned about their Monday night dine-in special which is effectively half-off of two sandwiches. However, They suddenly started to enforce a new policy. They will only let you have the special if you're accompanied by a guest... I learned about this when they refused to give it to me one Monday evening... Upset I left without purchasing anything... I returned a week later with two of my friends. They let the two of them have the special but refused it to me because I was not accompanied by a fourth... It just seems like bad business to allow some to have the sale price and deny others. It doesn't make any sense financially either. If four people come in and all planned to order two Sandwiches that table would pay for four sandwiches. Under the new policy the group of four would only order four sandwiches and pay for two, but take up the same amount of space in the restaurant leading to less overall sales. I hope that they will reconsider this policy so that single indivuals can enjoy the same promotions. read more

I am a Philly girl and ecstatic that we are lucky enough to have thus Authentic Philly restaurant. From the time you walk in to the time you leave it is a clean friendly environment. The staff is exceptional. They just expanded the menu and everything is fresh and delicious. My favorite thing as a kid was a Philly Italian water ice and Birch beer. The Philly Grill has them both!! We leave everytime so satisfied. I highly reccomend checking them out! The guys that work there are cuties too!! read more

I liked this one better than Big Al's & Jersey Mike's philly's. It's right near my house so that's an added bonus. The staff is friendly. The only thing I remember not liking was the drink cost and selection, so I usually just get mine to go. I was having a rough day and ate one in my car and every second was like pure ecstasy, but it was a pretty hard comedown on that last bite when I realized there wasn't any left. I was like one of those people stranded out at sea when they are trying to get the last drips from their canteen because there isn't any water left. The only reason I don't go here every day is because I'm poor and I think it was in the neighborhood of $8 for a full sangwich. Monday is the day where they do buy one get one free - dine in only. You are gonna be tempted to eat both right then - don't do it because it hurts later :) read more

SPOT ON! Can't believe we found this on our last night in town! Husband grew up in PA, and he is ALWAYS looking for the right CHEESESTEAK. This is the correct meat, the correct bun, done right. Service staff was polite, Place was REALLY clean! My salad greens were cold and crisp, toppings fresh and cold, blue cheese dressing was loaded w huge chunks of blue cheese in a thick creamy base. If I could give 0 stars I would. The cheese steak might be decent if they actually put meat on the sandwich. It was half filled and all soggy. I went to tell them about it hoping they would remake it. I told the lady at the counter, there is very little meat on the sandwich. She looked at me and pointed to the few crumbles of meat and said, "there is some right there." She looked at me and handed it back. Will not return. Bad food. Bad service. read more

The food came on time, it was still hot but the problem was nowhere on the menu and nowhere did I say that we wanted mustard on our cheeseburger. If I knew this I would've asked for it without mustard especially. Please update the menu specifications read more

I'm very disappointed with the food. For what we paid for three small sandwiches drinks fries and onion rings, I expected better. My biggest complaint was the bread. It was dry and hard. I ended up just grabbing a fork and eating the meat that way. The fries were ok, but the onion rings were overcooked. On the way out, I mentioned to an employee about the bread. He then squeezed the bread said "sorry about that" then went back to talking to another employee. I wish the complaint was handled differently but now I have a reason not to go back. If they don't care, why should I? read more

Had a really good Philly at this place. Would recommend it but upon entering saw a couple come in with their dog. They ended up dining inside with the pooch under the table. Restaurant staff did nothing and said nothing. If you want to eat in an animal free restaurant don't go here. Hope they implement an animal free policy, otherwise I'm moving on. read more

My son & girlfriend & myself all ate there for lunch. The food was good & my philly cheese steak was awesome! Bread was soft & meat tender. Ample amount of meat and cheese. Fries were fresh & crispy. Restaurant was nice & clean. Will definitely go back soon! Yum! read more

Completely underwhelming...food was terrible... prepackaged gyro meat the "Greek salad" was shredded lettuce and mushed tomatoes with no dressing and the tzatziki had no flavor at all....for the price you can do better at Miami Subs. read more

I have eaten here several times and find the need to return when I get a taste for a "Campo's Philly Steak". Then reality sinks in I'm not in Philly The steak is sort of rubbery and lacks flavor like there is no seasoning used. They use melted cheddar instead of actual "Cheese Whiz". Then again, I am in West Palm Beach read more

Always great food here. Awesome steak or chicken philly sandwiches. Fries with chili and cheese are great. Everything is made right in front of you. Burgers are very good also. Must try if your in the area. Can't go wrong with a cheesesteak. read more

Although their cheesesteaks are VERY good, I will not be ordering from this location again. Went on Tuesday, 06/09/2020 to pick up my order. First, the front door was locked. A worker was standing right in front of the store and ignored my knocking. This was at 4:15 in the afternoon. When she finally came to the door she thought it was funny. No on in the store had a mask on. I saw the cook bring up my order and no mask on him either. Whoever owns this franchise needs to keep a better watch on their help at this location. Sad, they will probably lose business. At $20.00 for 2 cheesesteaks you would expect better service. read more

First time on my philly friend's recommendation. Steak was made the right way. Which is a great way to start. Bun was good and meat plentiful. Had the onion rings-- nice and crisp. Only down side was the fries which were soggy and that's the only reason it's not 5 star. Service was quick, friendly and the food was hot even though they were training the person taking our order. read more

First we tried calling and could not get through. I went to store and ordered. I ordered two sandwiches and waited exactly 30 minutes. Both sandwiches came out wrong. One did not have the cheese requested and the second had mushrooms (lots of them) that I did not order and do not like. I was so frustrated with waiting so long I just left. The people behind the counter were not helpful at all. read more

Ordered thru post mates and received order which was wrong but course I am told that I ordered wrong. My fiance is allergic to onions and I made sure I checked off the "no onions" box. I was told that I did not check the box. I was told they would make the cheese steak right on my next order. In the meantime my fiance who has just returned home from work has no dinner. Food quality is ok. You can tell the ingredients are cheap. Last time we will eat there. Such a shame since we love to support local business. read more

I'm from Philly.... I've been down here 13 years... never found a decent cheese steak anywhere, no matter how much the places screamed about how genuine they were.... they weren't even close.... Now you just need a Daily News after an Eagles win and a Cowboy's loss... the world is perfect! read more

Wanted a good hot dog, won't get it here. Ordered the foot long beef ,asked for them to put some char on it , you know some black marks. Got with sauerkraut onion and some mustard. The idiot cook pulls out the kraut, dripping with juice onto the bun. Dog cannot be seen until I pull away some kraut to stop making the bun soggy and not one single sear mark, basically raw. Completely uncooked. Two bites and I'm sick to my stomach from raw hot dog and mushy bun. Will never go back and posted to friends who like that kind of food . If I could give zero stars I would . Absolutely terrible dump with bad cooks read more

Tried to find a good cheesesteak, no luck here. Was dry with no seasoning. Fries were just basic frozen crinkle fries also no seasoning. Asked for steak sauce to help give the cheese STEAK some flavor. Was informed by cook that steak sauce is illegal in Philly O by the way I'm in south Florida not philly. Serve your customers not your city you're no longer in guys! read more

I won't' be back! We ordered a philly cheese steak cut in half with tomatoes on one side - they didn't cut the sandwich in half and the tomatoes were spread on the whole sandwich, once we fixed that issue, the sandwich had absolutely no taste whatsoever . The regular fries had a pound of salt on them and the sweet potato waffle fries were over fried. Not a good first experience. read more

Food is what you would expect, regular diner philly cheese.....service is a joke. We got there 10 minutes before they close and they not only told us we couldn't eat our food in dinning room because they had places to be but I then watched them turn away 3 more customers....if they are in such a hurry to get out of there and not serve customers haw serious are they about serving good food. As a business owner I can't believe the owner of Philly Grill would be please to see what I watched tonight.....disappointed! read more

I would give this 0 stars if I could. Stopped through here while on vacation for a quick bite. Should have known better than to eat cheese steaks in FL. Bread was stale and flavorless. Meat was dryer than the Sahara and was on par with frozen steakums. Fries were soggy and I had to wait 20 min with no other customers in sight. I have literally had better meals at a gas station before. If you have to choose between this place and starvation, i suggest eating the tire of your car. Exactly the same culinary experience. read more

My family had the cheesesteaks a handful of times before we stopped coming here. The first couple of times the sandwiches were really good and then the last two times we decided to give them another try they were horrible. The bread was super soggy and flavorless. The fries though were always good and I would just eat my fries with the meat and cheese of the philly. After our fifth visit I started making my own cheesesteaks for less money and wayyyy better flavor and texture. read more

I'm not from Philly or nutin, but back at home in Tampa Bay we have a place called Delco's. This is the "golden standard" of comparison for any Philly cheesesteak I eat and I'm always disappointed whenever it's not a cheesesteak from Delco's in Dunedin. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak deluxe here at the "Philly Grill" with peppers, onions, and mushrooms and I added lettuce and tomato (which I know isn't authentic but it's what I like). I got provolone for my cheese choice. I will say they use a pretty good Amoroso roll and the meat is not bad, but everything else tasted pretty gross. Instead of melting the cheese right in with the meat before putting on the roll, he used the cheese as a kind of casing for the meat which resulted in the cheese not melting all the way and being on the bottom of the meat when applied to the roll. Nothing melded together. The mushrooms were slimy and the peppers tasted terrible and a bit soggy. I'm not sure I would eat here again. I will say the place is clean and set up well and the employees were nice enough. My problem was the quality of the food. And the fact I paid $20 for a small drink, fried (also slimy) mushrooms and a 9 inch cheesesteak. By the way... This Delco's place in Dunedin Florida has the seal of approval from a few of my Philly friends so I like to think I know what I'm talking about when comparing Philly cheesesteaks. Check it out for yourself on yelp. It's where I go every time I'm back home. As for the "Philly Grill", I'm sorry but it's just not up to par. I'd rather have Jersey Mike's. read more

I'm from Philly and visiting relatives here in Florida. When they told me this place sold Philly cheese steaks I rolled my eyes having been to numerous "authentic Philly cheesesteaks" places outside of Philly. This place does it good, the roll is right, the meat is right, wiz makes it better. It is not perfect, but it holds its own against some of Philly's better places. read more
