Man they make a great cheesesteak. It starts with the bread, they use a delicious bread. The meat isn't overly greasy. And you can get what you want on it (onions and banana peppers in my case). This is the SMALLEST, BAREST (But somewhat tasty) philly cheese steak I've ever had. I knew something was wrong when I grabbed my order and my sandwich felt feather light. How can something so simple be so darn good? I do wish the sandwiches had more meat, especially for the price. I'm not a fan of onions, so I'm glad they have the Plain Jane, which is just meat and cheese. The sandwiches here are consistently good. I have found the best way to get them prepared is to have the cheese on the bottom on the bun, then the meat. That way you don't lose a bunch of cheese to the wrapper. Their banana bread is delicious! I never tried the fries before today. Definitely time for them to change the oil in their fryer, but they were still pretty good. The owner is always pleasant and appreciative of his customers. Bonus, if you save your receipt there is a coupon at the bottom for your next visit. read more

When I ordered food last weekend I was so excited to indulge in your bulky tastiness, as it's been years since I've been in Atlanta. Unfortunately, it appears the years haven't been kind to you and your sandwiches have atrophied or you've gone on a serious diet. The portions were so small it reminded me of the old Wendy's commercials with the old ladies saying "Where's the beef?" The balance between bread and meat/cheese is off. They've been in Woodstock a long time. We've lived here 16 years and can never remember them not being here. Always consistently yummy. Generous portions of meat and super soft buns. Very tasty with the grilled onions. We always get the mushroom steak sub. You can order 5", 7", or 10", depending on your appetite. Really good fries ; so a combo with drink choice makes the perfect meal. Highly recommend this place! read more

My first time trying this place and it will definitely be my last!!! I spent over $11 on a 10" original cheese steak and it was terrible. The meat had absolutely no flavor at all and the onions were stringy and barely grilled. Cheese as lacking as was the meat on the sandwich. Don't worry though there was plenty of bread which basically was what I ate a bread sandwich. The guy who I believe was the owner kept telling me they have been there for 15 years!!! No offense but 15 years of putting out below average sandwiches doesn't make you an expert. He even had the nerve to tell me if I don't like it there must be something wrong with me!!! The staff is friendly and helpful. Every order I've ever placed was correct and ready when I arrived. We eat here probably 2-3 times per month as a result. My only complaint is that the prices are a little high, otherwise I have only good things to say. read more

I was in a pinch and wanted something quick to eat. I had driven by this location a number of times and thought I'd give it a whirl. I was in the mood for some wings and ordered up a 20-piece to go. The gentleman behind the counter (presumably the owner) mentioned how much he loved wings and that their wings were so good that if I didn't like them it was "probably just me". Ok then...so I paid and watch the person behind the counter dump twenty frozen wings into a deep fryer. Fifteen minutes and a few bucket shakes later, I'm out the door with twenty wings. Well, I was at the point where I'd have eaten anything, but they were unremarkable. How do you mess up wings?! Greasy and chewy...the wing sauce was forgettable. Very disappointed! I love phillys but this one I did not like. It was soggy and didn't taste fresh. I think the mushrooms were from a can and I couldn't tell if there were onions on it or not. Their sweet tea wasn't sweet enough, the Diet Coke was running out of syrup so I finally had to settle for Dr. Pepper. Appearance of the store was dirty and not well taken care of. Ordered the italian salad. The salami was greying at the edges. I looked at it, smelled it, and tried a bite. It was obviously bad and was served regardless. I took it back up to the counter and explained the issue. The server offered to get a new pack of meat. I declined and requested chicken instead. They made that and it was ok. Delicious philly sandwiches!! They are always fresh and hot. Their onion rings and fries are great as well. It's funny to watch the manager weigh the fries... He makes sure that they are the exact weight that he wants them to be. If it is just a little over, he will take one fry out at a time to get it exact. The only negative is that they don't have a drive through. It's sometimes hard to get out with kids when you are trying to grab a quick lunch. read more
