I called them for an estimate to clean out my entire basement. Probably a $500-$600 job, so definitely something I'm shopping around for. The website clearly states "call us for a free estimate." I scheduled an appointment for this evening at 5:30. I was told I'd get a phone confirmation the night before.
I didn't get a phone confirmation, so I called this morning to confirm. The guy on the phone asked me to text my address to him? So, I did. I was told they'd be here between 6 and 7pm.
When no one was here at 7:15, I called. Got a machine. Left a message. At 8:45, I got a text message (not a call, a text!) that basically said "we ran into problems, can we come tomorrow".
Unfortunately, this was my only free evening at home all week, so not only can I not reschedule for tomorrow, I'm a little pissed off that I wasted it waiting for a no-show. I guess they must not need the work that badly? Seriously guys, a phone call. Not that difficult.
Calling the guys at phillyjunk.com and giving the business to them instead. It blows my mind that in a down economy, companies think they can act like this. read more
