I had to have my long-neglected basement cleaned out in a hurry. I needed a new HVAC system installed ASAP and I didn't even have room for the installation team to do the work. Sad, I know. I called several companies and settled on E-Z after reading their reviews and exploring their website. I phoned for an appt. and got one immediately. Next test: would they show up on time? Yes! Next test: would they do a good job. They did a great job! Two polite and professional young men came in, hunkered down and worked hard until they had filled as much of their truck as they could. I had to call to get a second appointment for another haul, (that's how much stuff we had), which I hadn't expected to need to do, and I was a bit upset. Time was running out. But a quick email to the boss ensured another crew would be out the next day and that I wouldn't be overcharged in any way. The second set of guys showed up on time and performed just as the first set had. When they left, I could see my basement floor for the first time in years! If you are a contractor or someone who just needs simple trash/debris removal - this is probably a solid option for you. Reasonable pricing and responsive owner. If you are a homeowner or new to home reno and are thinking about hiring E-Z to do a demo job in only one or two rooms - definitely reconsider. These guys are not professionals. They are hired just to knock things down and get the trash out (which they did). However, I have an old home and was left with a very damaged home after hiring them to do a demo job in my bathroom. All the adjoining walls and floors were damaged from the team smashing the floors and walls in the bathroom. The company owner was not on site to inspect the area before starting the work but I was told that "this is to be expected in an older home." In order to avoid more damage I had them halt work and they left me with a mess of an area. read more

I used this company a couple of months ago. Because the reviews were good, I decided to give them a try. The positive aspects of my experience were that they were reasonably priced, polite and did a pretty good job the first day. The issues I had with them were 1. They did not come off as a professional outfit. There was no confirmation email after I made the reservation, nor a phone call confirmation as to when they would be arriving. As such they arrived later than I anticipated. Because they arrived late, they couldn't finish in one day. 2. At the end of their visit the first day, something broke in the basement, giving off a terrible smell. They did not alert me to it, or suggest opening a door or anything. When I called them later to confirm their second trip and asked about the smell, that's when I found out. 3. The second visit never happened. The second worker flaked on his boss. And the boss overslept, waking up when I called to find out where he was. The boss was willing to come, but there was too much for one guy. So we cancelled. 4. They take credit cards, but charge a fee. Lucky for me, I had a checkbook and could avoid that fee. I know we were still in a pandemic when this happened, and it was not a completely negative experience. But if they are going to charge as much as other companies, I hope they get it together. read more

Do not use them. I used Yelp to find a company yo haul away garbage for me. EZ responded with a quote and confirmed a time in writing and then didn't show up. The owner pulled a bait and switch. They knew I was in a situation where I had one day to empty my house. When I called to see if they were coming, the owner told me he didn't know who responded on Yelp and that it wasn't him and that they could not come to Wilmington Delaware since they are in philly (which is only 25 minutes away) unless I paid them an additional 200.00. Overall a good experience. Owner was very responsive to my questions. Receptionist was nice during scheduling and patient when I fumbled my credit card details during payment after the job was done. Kind of a ripoff. Two guys showed up way later than the start time of my booking and said their truck was half full already so they could only take a limited amount, but that it would be $450, even though the company's website says half a truckload is $349. They worked for about 20 minutes and did clean up a few things (every little bit helps so I was grateful) but not nearly what I'd imagined. They seemed more interested in making a quick buck than establishing a relationship with me. By that time I just wanted them gone and to politely part ways. They could plainly see that I've got a *lot* more stuff to get rid of and I could have continued calling on them in the coming weeks, but that's okay, let them enjoy their $450 instead of probably $2500 they'd have gotten in the end. I read all the positive reviews online and made an appointment with EZ Clean Up to remove some trash from my backyard, I filled out the form and sent pics, they agreed to do the job... I explained to them, thoroughly, that I work the graveyard shift and sleep during the day, so I needed them to give me a time-frame when they would come so I'd know when to sleep and when to be awake, she gave me a general time-frame of "late afternoon" ...ok, fine, i made sure to up around 3pm, just in case ...that afternoon came and went, they never showed up, I never heard from them, and this was after I tried contacting them twice to confirm if they were still coming ...after 6:30pm, she finally called to say they would not be coming "because of the storm" (which only lasted for about 30 min and was over), which I totally would've understood if she had called earlier and said that, instead of just leaving me hanging (in one of the messages I left I even asked if they wanted to reschedule because of the weather, but no response) ...she rescheduled me for the next day "in the morning", I asked for an estimated time-frame, she said "between 10pm - 1pm", which meant I would stay awake when I got home from work and wait for them, which i did ...2:30pm rolled around and nothing, again ...I sent an email telling them to cancel my appointment, and called and left a message notifying them of my email ...about 10 min later I got a text saying she would send a crew over "right now" and do the job for free, but at this point I was so exhausted I had already fallen asleep (i had been awake for 24 hrs straight at that point), plus, honestly, I no longer had any confidence in them doing this job well ...not a good experience ...everyone has a bad day, but 2 bad days? I called this company yesterday and a woman answered and scheduled me for a next appointment between 12pm and 1pm. She asked me if I was ready to assume their business I stated I didn't know depending on the estimate. Well 12n came and nothing! 1pm came and nothing! I called the business and the same woman answered yelling hello like she couldn't hear me then hung up. I called the number back 4 times and straight to voicemail. A few seconds later the same number called so I kept yelling hello into the phone then I hung up! It's about 2 pm now 2 guys show at my door......I tell them their services are no longer needed. Worse company ever! The woman answering the phone needs to be immediately fired for scheduling appointments when she doesn't know how long each job will take! She should explain that to customers when they call to get the estimate. Oh and when they were a no show I received an email stating they did arrive and schedule my next appointment when they did not! REMOVE ALL MY INFORMATION OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!
