We took the 26Glacier tour for 6 hours and it was so, so worth it! We already had the Alaskan cruise lined up and I assumed we'd see more glaciers, which we didn't. So I'm extra happy we did this. They take you up and close, as much as possible, to at least 3 glaciers. The rest you can see from a distance. My favorite and I'm assuming everyone's favorite, is the Harvard Glacier. We even got to capture caving! Which actually is sad since that means the glacier is melting but it's amazing to see in real life. I also love that the crew collected icebergs from the water and used it for our drinks. That was awesome! The top deck got crowded quickly but I loved that the boat turned around so everyone could get a nice view. I also liked that they fed us a lunch for the price. It would be great if sodas were included in that lunch or at least one cocktail. Highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Anchorage as it's not too far a drive to Whittier. Just gotta make sure you make the tunnel timings. Check online!

Scott I appreciate the response. I however asked to be contacted through the company feedback and there had been no response. I would like a full refund. There was no reason this couldn't have been handled at the time and instead we were forced into a very bad experience with your company. You were unable to fulfill the promise we paid for and I am asking for a refund.

Or hurricane the 26 glacier boat was a great boat. Great food. Great service! The captain showed us. We saw over 40 60 different animals. It was absolutely amazing. Could not have asked for a better after dude on the water even though it was raining and windy and cold. It was absolutely the best part of going to Alaska

We chose this tour out of Whittier because of their No Motion Sickness guarantee. We had a great day with perfect weather on the 3 hour Glacier Quest Cruise. Our salmon chowder was delicious! It comes with a dinner roll, cheese, cabbage slaw, gummy snacks and a mint chocolate. We spend most of our time out in the deck to enjoy the view and taking tons of pictures. It does get pretty windy although not super cold. The workers offers to help you take pictures and during the cruise they "fish" out fresh glaciers for your drinks. We also met a nice couple sitting across whom we shared our table with. We did not see much wildlife on this tour, just couple eagles and some wild otters far away. Since this is a private company and not a public form of transportation, masks are not required during our visit. Our table was supposed to fit 6 people, but we were already pretty cozy with 4 people and we are not big built. Please note the one way tunnel time and plan accordingly when driving to Whittier. Also even though the parking lot is full, you can ask the attendant to move the cones for you and it's $12 to park for the day.

Impressive Vessel Newly Upgraded! Great, courteous staff, 3 Captains on Board WOAH! Great Food YES! Local beer in cans and on tap, wine, liquor, YES! Great views of Glaciers OH YES! Wildlife Shots! OH YES! I used to sell boats in my younger years, and I'm impressed with their new retrofitted modern ride. It's a Catamaran that goes 40 Knots! Smooth, Fast and Covid-19 Protected as best they can! Self Serve is Gone! But, sanitizer stations and plexi-glass barriers everywhere and certain tables are closed to keep the social distancing priority high. It was a half full boat 3 days into their season, and we could feel distance and safe while moving about the ship. There were a few without masks but all kept to social distancing. The Captain, 1 of 3 Onboard, if that doesn't make you feel safe what would!?! LOL! He stopped at wildlife hot spots like teasing the dolphins into playing in and around us, rafts of sea otters with their cute babies on their bellies floating, we stopped for a bear. In Prince William waters there's salmon, lingcod, halibut to catch. Lots of commercial salmon boats and spot shrimpers. But Alaska is big they were all spread out. Even saw 2-4 person sail boats. We saw, dolphins, sea lions, salmon jumping, a black bear, and many, many glaciers. Many picture opportunities and if you're a local Alaskan, DO THIS CRUISE! So fun!

Wow! Myself, my husband and my dad took the 26 glacier tour and it was breathtaking! The tour was 5 hours, covered 140 miles, included lunch and included so much wildlife and amazing facts about glaciers, Prince William sound, and much more. The crew were very friendly and accommodating. We all opted for the seafood chowder which was served hot and delicious and included a roll, butter, fruit snacks, a piece of cheddar cheese, and a peppermint patty. We even got to hold some glacier ice and had drinks with ice from the glacier which had tons of tint bubbles and made a fun crackling noise! On the tour we saw bald eagles, stellar seals, sea lions, sea otters, mountain goats, black bears one of which was climbing a mountain next to a glacier! He put on quite a show. Rating from F to A +++ it definitely gets an A+++! Highly recommend!

One of the highlights of our 12 day Collette land-sea tour of Alaska and the Yukon was Phillips' 4 hour boat cruise through Prince William Sound and Blackstone Bay to see seven glaciers, on July 10, 2018. Phillips runs the Glacier Quest tours from May 12 -Sept 16 for $109. Reservations come with an assigned seat. Closest glaciers to Anchorage. Our bus drove 60 miles from Anchorage, past forests and long stretches of lakes, and finally through the longest automobile tunnel in North America, into Whittier, AK. If you come by car, you will have to account for the single lane tunnel's change of traffic directions every 15 minutes. There are pictures of clear weather, but that is the exception not the norm. All those people who came when it rained didn't post their pictures. You thought it rained a lot in Seattle, which averages 34 inches of rainfall annually. Whittier's driest month is July with an average of 9.17 inches of rainfall. According to Wilkipedia, for the whole year Whittier averages over 198 inches of rainfall, the rainiest city in the country! When we arrived, it was not only raining hard, but was cold and gusty with high winds. Covered walking area under tent and canopy to the boat. Large twin boomed catamaran, which can seat several hundred people. Tour guarantees no sea sickness! Our seating section was assigned for our group of 40, but individual seats within the seating section were first come first served. We were at the front of the bus, and among the first onto the boat. Got window seats near the front of the boat. Tight seating three across per bench, six at each table, with some people facing backwards, all seats taken. Two people with wide bottoms, took up one bench, making sure no room for a third pair of cheeks! They served a hot box lunch of fish sticks, salmon chowder, and Alaska chips. The chowder was good, but many people tossed the rest of the meal. Phillips wanted to make sure you didn't regurgitate your consumed lunch, as soon as the boat started moving! I have a history of sea sickness, but this boat was exceptionally stable in the calm waters of Prince William sound. National Park ranger did an excellent job of narrating every step of the way. Vast forest of spruce trees running up the mountains next to the seas. Occasional waterfalls plunging from the mountains into the water. Sailed past the old shipwreck at Shotgun Cove. Can't blame this on Driving While Asian. Did not want to get too close as did not want to join them! Saw at least one sea otter on it's back, some eagles, but no orca whales. Skipper took the catamaran right up next to one and then another waterfalls, off the banks of trees and rock. Blue then green waters. One waterfalls was overwhelmed with attacking birds, almost like in the Alfred Hitchcock film! Reached the first of several tidewater glaciers running into the water, with the skipper bringing the boat right up to the glacier. Glacier was blue in color on this overcast rainy day. Did not see any chunks of glacier falling off on this blustery day. Waterfalls alongside. If you wanted a picture from the outdoor decks, you had to brave not only the biting rain, but the high winds. And my wife had her hair done only two days before! After 4 hours reached landfall with my eaten lunch still in my stomach, and not on the floor!

    Hella glaciers y'all

Visited Whittier back in September and had a phenomenal cruise with Phillips. Weather was great and the staff was even better. We were fortunate enough to see a pod of orcas and were able to observe them for a good 45 minutes. Will never forget this experience. Would highly recommend venturing with Phillips when in Whittier.

This cruise is a must if you are visiting Alaska. It is located in Whittier just an hour and a half drive from Anchorage. For 2 people it costs us $407. It included a hot meal ,unlimited coffee & hot tea and a hot fresh baked cookie. If you're making plans with friends. Be sure to include their names on the " special notes " section of the reservation because when it is time to board the boat , they will seat you all in the same section. This boat has 2 levels. Plenty of seating. Lots of restrooms inside and outside. There is also a bar located on the bottom floor that offers a good selection of alcohol. They also had nachos and other stuff to munch on at decent prices. When the boat is in motion , you are allowed to step out in the back of boat but not allowed out in the front. You can go to the front only when the boat is stopped. The views are breathtaking. So beautiful. You get to see many waterfalls , glaciers , wildlife etc. A sight you wouldn't want to miss. I could go on and on but don't take my word for it. Book a cruise today.

Unexpectedly, we ended up being the only guests as others had backed out. We started out of Seward with a nice trip from Anchorage with Joan and Jeff as our shuttle team. They were both very personable and a pleasure to make the trip with to Seward. We were greeted with champagne and quickly got underway. Our accommodations were exactly as described in the Master suite. After two days of being wined and dined, we finally had to say, the "food is amazing, but we don't eat this much in a day. We need to slow down on the amount" LOL Certainly all you could possibly eat and nicely prepared. En En set beautiful tables for every meal and and our wine glasses were never dry. The weather was not the best for the first few days, so with everyone's agreement, we decided to roll the dice and cross the Gulf of Alaska to head towards Whittier. At that point, the weather became amazing, we did kayaking and had a 13,000 year old cocktail (Bourbon on Glacier ice). Who knew we would go to Alaska to get a tan? We spent the entire time cruising out on the deck getting sun. Captain Al and his team were wonderful hosts. I guess I could address every complaint that has been posted, but I'm not going to give it much credibility by spending any time on it. Yes, the boat is not brand new, but we had no issues on board (except the battery, but that's a little joke between Captain Al and us.). I can't speak to any of the other accommodations because we did not see or use them, but there were absolutely no complaints with ours. We are already considering the possibility of taking friends and going again some time. Thanks for everything Captain Al, En En and Christian! It was the trip of a lifetime! Thanks for being a part of it! Lori and Bob

The result was that I managed to reel in a large (let the photo suffice) silver on my first try. I'm still speechless. The vessel is great--extremely comfortable and well-equipped. Ben and Satchel were utterly competent, affable, kind, funny, and had endless patience with me and the other people onboard, including an obnoxious kid who lost his bait about a thousand times and snarled his line with everyone else's at least twice. Satchel also went above and beyond after we got back to Whittier, walking us through getting our catch cleaned and packed for the trip home. For more serious fishermen, you WILL go away happy. For clueless but appreciative newbies like me, you'll go away amazed and very likely with fish as well. Highly recommended, with gratitude.

It was good, not great. So much so, that instead of walking all the way back I hitched to get the car and pick up walking companion. Then we jetted over to Byron's Glacier for a proper, albeit shorter, hike. Would come again if camping in area, but would pass for future hiking funsies due to lack of interest.

Despite being located a little over an hour from Anchorage, this area gets obscene amounts of snow and rain. As a consequence of all that H2O falling from the sky, the mountains in here are heavily glaciated, even though they are not very tall by Alaska standards. (tallest in the area is around 6,000 ft, with many in the 3,000-4,000 ft range) Because this trail is so flat, it's very commonly cycled. Bring your bike and make a half-day of it, or bring only your boots for a much fuller day. There are places to view Salmon here, but I can never seem get the timing right.
