This tour was FANTASTIC!! Unbelievable views, got to walk on a glacier and drink some glacial water! It felt very surreal. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour as it is such a cool way to experience colossal views that are untouched. We had Micah as our pilot who was great!!

Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you'll want to document and remember for the rest of your life - especially if you're from somewhere that doesn't get much snow. I'm actually glad we were able to do the helicopter tour during the spring-summer season, as the skies were so clear and gave for a perfect view and a smooth ride. Our pilot Tyler was very knowledge of the lands and made sure we got the chance to see any wildlife along the way, including goats, moose, and bears! I highly recommend spending the extra $100 to actually land and walk upon the glacial ice - not only will you be able to get more unique photo-ops, but you'll get the chance to say you've drank water literally straight from the glaciers! I just wish I had remembered to bring a flask, to take back some water with me and get it blessed like in the movie Waterboy :) For another couple hundred bucks, you can even top it off and try dog-sledding in the area. This company is definitely the one to book with, if you want a one-stop shot at experiencing all your Alaskan vacation dreams. Booking online was quick and easy - although we were very lucky to reserve a tour for two just the day before, you should probably inquire a few more days in advance as there is limited space and times, especially for larger groups. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and took the time to take care of us even after our tour had ended. Since there are virtually no taxis/ride shares in the area, they let us ride their shuttle back to the nearest resort, and then hooked us up with a driver to pick us up there to take us back to Anchorage (which is about 45 mins away). They truly went above and beyond to make sure our trip was safe and fun. Thank you Alpine Air for being the highlight of our trip!

While in Alaska we are filling our time up with once in a lifetime activities. We booked a 30 minute helicopter tour over Alaska. We arrived at 8:45 for our scheduled 9:00 AM flight. We were greeted by Glenda who was great. She explained the tour to us. We were the only ones on this tour. Without any pressure at all, Glenda offered an upgrade to one hour which would land us on a Glacier. How could we not go for that. I didn't bring a hat or sunglasses so she comped me one of each. After a safety instruction we are off. Martin is our pilot and he was awesome. Narrating our flight for the entire time. The time goes really quickly. We landed on a glacier and walked around for about 10 minutes. It was so quiet, no wind, and surrounded by snow covered mountains. At this point we could not help but extend our flight for another 30 minutes. The additional 30 minutes brought our flight over Prince William Sound and views of more glaciers and untouched areas of planet earth. During this phase of our flight Martin pointed out the "Aleska" mountain top resort and restaurant. We immediately knew this would be our next stop after our tour was over. The hour and a half flight was so exciting that the time flew by. No pun intended. Oh yes, we even got to see a bunch of moose during our flight. Amazing!!! So do I recommend this amazing, exciting, awesome experience? I not only do I recommend it, I encourage you to take this helicopter tour with Alpine Air. I promise, no guarantee that you will not regret it. Excuse me for a minute while I check this off my "Bucket List". Next stop "Seven Glaciers Restaurant" at the "Aleska Resort " for lunch.

Great flight tour and guide! So beautiful and would highly recommend this group. The glaciers change daily.

We had such an amazing trip with Alpine Air. It was my husbands first time in a helicopter. I had grown up with a dad who was a helicopter pilot. But this experience was unreal. I'm so glad we spent the money to do this experience. I have never seen Alaska like I did on this trip. We flew over glaciers, landed on one and saw so much you can't see from the ground. I highly recommend doing something like this to fully experience and see Alaska. I would do it again it was so amazing. Our pilot was great and the company and customer service was fantastic. This was just icing on the cake to an amazing RV Road trip went took of Alaska on our own. I felt totally safe on this trip, including flying though rocky canyons and landing on ice glaciers.

We just had a once in a lifetime experience with Zac on a helicopter glacier tour. He was amazing and very knowledgeable about the area being able to answer all of our questions. The ladies in the office were wonderful, friendly, and also knowledgeable. We give the experience a A+ 5 star rating. Highly recommend using them!!!

Definitely one of the highlights of my Alaska trip! My best friend and I planned an epic vacation to Alaska to celebrate the end of graduate school. We were fortunate enough to be able to experience Alpine Air Alaska's Glacier Dog Sledding tour on Punch Bowl Glacier. From the time we entered Alpine Air to the glacier to the very end, we were treated with some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. The entire trip was unreal! The helicopter ride was a highlight, of course, but I absolutely loved learning the background of sled dogs and the Ididarod, and playing with the puppies. Peter was the guide up on the glacier and he was fantastic; such a dynamic speaker who truly kept me engaged the entire time. Another highlight was going on the sled dog ride! Yes, that's right, we had the opportunity to sit on the sled and go for a ride, the dogs were so impressive, it's clear they are spectacular dogs. Overall, I am so incredibly grateful to Alpine Air and everyone up at the Sled Dog glacier! Thank you for such an amazing experience!

What an amazing experience. We had our flight seeing trip out of Anchorage cancel while waiting for Pick Up. Jumped on line and Alpine said "Come On Over and we will get you out". And they did. In style. What a great staff and our Pilot Mark was just great. Very informative, but relaxed at the same time. If you are thinking of a Flight-seeing trip in the Anchorage area do it in a Helicopter with Alpine.

Snapple has got it wrong, THIS place is made from the best stuff on earth !…read more Everything from the pingauzer ride, breathtaking views of the valley, sweet dogs and meeting Nick was the highlight of my Alaska trip! Now, prior to heading out to Girdwood and taking the trip, I read the description and thought "Eh, this sounds a bit campy." We did it regardless and do not regret it. Riding up a mountain, playing with puppers small and large, going on a ride in a cart pulled by aforementioned dogs.. sounds silly but it was more fun than watching a kitten chase a laser beam. Mother nature also graced us with a clear, 70 degree day as well. That helps! I've read about some blatant dog abuse that goes on with certain teams or kennels that are associated with the iditarod. Taking that into consideration, these pups did not appear to be mistreated in the slightest. In fact, you could tell Nick absolutely adores all of the dogs and isn't just putting on a show for the tourists. He talks about them as if they were his kids in a sly, goofy way that's rather hard to describe. The doggos, despite short leashes and funny looking houses seem as if they are quite well taken care of and are absolutely ecstatic about doing their job -- running! Shockingly enough, they're equally as estastic to meet strangers as well! If you're looking for a great way to spend an afternoon, check these folks (AND CUTE PUPS) out. Man, I'm a sucker for a cute furry face.

Fortunately we were able to make the tour. The ride to the kennel is a bit rough but you really get the feel for the area. Nic gives a interesting introduction and you are encouraged to interact with the dogs. He tells stories about himself and the dogs. You then learn how to harness the dogs and off you go in his cart. Taking turns through the sometimes dusty trail on a thrill ride. You finish the tour at the puppy pavilion, where you learn more about the racing and then PUPPIES!! We had enough time to ask questions and never felt rushed. A great day, and then Tyler recommended pizza at Chair 5 in the town of Girdwood, to die for pizza. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g31000-d8421789-r595086029-Girdwood_Mushing_Company-Girdwood_Anchorage_Alaska.html#

Our trip would not have been the same had we skipped this standout experience! Our guides Andy and Matt were amazing! We had a lot of fun with them and learned a lot too. Thank you guys for the memories! Until you see and walk on a glacier, you cannot understand the scale and size of one! There are hidden worlds when you get on the ice! Waterfalls into the abyss, hidden ice caves, lakes of deep aqua blue... and it goes on and on in every direction. Completely insane! Do yourself a favor and book this trip. The views from the helicopter alone are worth it, but exploring a glacier is priceless!

The rest was transportation/waiting for train/etc. Prices are high, but the experience is pretty amazing. It's hard to do activities or get up close to glaciers without assistance/guides. The group to guide ratio is low so you're definitely safe. I love the energy from the guides. They know what they're doing and they are so enthusiastic about it. They definitely take care of you if you're a newb to all this. Amazing views. Amazing pictures. Would recommend!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear we were in the hands of true professionals. Our mushers, Jaren and Dane, were incredibly experienced, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They didn't just guide us - they educated us, patiently answering every single one of my (many!) questions with enthusiasm and depth. You can tell they truly love sharing this world with others. What stood out just as much as the scenery was the care and devotion shown to the dogs. Every single Alaskan Husky is clearly loved, respected, and exceptionally well cared for. It's obvious the entire team is deeply invested in the health, happiness, and wellbeing of these amazing animals, which made the experience feel even more special and authentic. And then there's the ride itself - absolutely breathtaking. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and the trail felt like something out of a dream. We glided through endless stretches of pristine white snow, surrounded by pines trees, with the crisp Alaskan air filling our lungs. At one point, we were even treated to a clear view of Denali in the distance. This wasn't just a tour, it was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that completely exceeded my expectations. I would recommend Alaskan Husky Adventures to anyone looking for something truly extraordinary.

If you're a solo female traveler, you may want to read this…read more I booked this tour after a warm phone call with Liz and drove over an hour to get there on February 15, 2026. The dogs were great and the trail was scenic, but my interaction with owner Matthew Failor detracted from the experience. At check-in, the waiver asked for my full address. When I hesitated and asked why, his response was essentially that I needed to fill it out or I wouldn't be allowed to go out on the sled. Only afterward did he vaguely mention insurance. Being given that kind of ultimatum in front of other guests felt coercive rather than respectful. After the run, he asked if I had fun and stayed warm. I answered simply and briefly. He then commented that I was "a woman of very few words," which came across as dismissive. He then asked where I live, despite my earlier hesitation about sharing personal information. As a woman traveling alone who had already shown discomfort about privacy, that felt intrusive and tone-deaf. The actual sled run was also noticeably shorter than expected, which made the overall experience feel less worth the cost. Liz later called, listened to my concerns, and processed a refund, which I appreciated. I'm sharing this so other women traveling alone can make an informed decision. While the dogs and trail were enjoyable, my interaction with Matthew made the overall experience uncomfortable and not worth repeating.
