This Mobil station is a quick, easy place to stop and top off the gas tank on your rental car before you drop it off on your way to the Hartford airport. The location is great, and it is easy to get into and out of. Bathrooms inside are clean and they have a good selection of snacks and drinks to stock up on if you are flying somewhere. There is also a Dunkin Donuts built inside for any of your donut and coffee needs, with friendly people working the counters.

It is very clean, bright, and spacious with plenty of options one might want to get while on the road. They have sandwiches, doughnuts, coffee and more. There are plenty of snacks, and drink options. I really went in for a water, but I came out with the Bang Energy drink. Most items are more expensive than at a regular grocery store, but it is pretty convenient to pop in here! The Cumberland Farms gas station is also a decent place to get your car filled up. Just like the inside of the store, it is spacious, without being in anyone's way. As expected this isn't the best price for your gas fill. Cumberland Farms will do when you are in a rush.

But curiously, there are only three in Connecticut, with one downstate in Fairfield and two in the Bloomfield-Windsor area! I used to work in Windsor, near the Day Hill Road exit #38 off of I-91. I used to get gas at the Mobil station across the street from the Buffalo Wild Wings-Price Chopper plaza near my office. For a long time, the convenience store attached to the gas station was operated by the "On the Run" corporation, but that was taken over by Circle K a few years ago. It seemed pretty well stocked and was neat and organized when I popped in today for a pack of gum. It has all of the things you stop at a convenience store for; that's for sure. The only downside about stopping here is that the parking situation is still pretty sketchy. There really aren't a lot of spaces available.

They've just been open for two weeks and offered a rock-bottom gas price of just $2.89 a gallon. Oh, and by the way, they have an incredibly sweet number of 16 gas pumps. It was one of my cheapest fill ups in quite a while. After I gassed up, I went inside to check out the store and buy a lottery ticket. Well, they've been open for such a short time they're not quite ready to start pumping out those tickets yet. Their spacious convenience store was neat as a pin and stocked to overflowing, and I saw a Dunkin' counter way off to the left. The young lady at the convenience store register was personable and very friendly when I chatted with her about the place. Noble's website says they are "a Connecticut-based business bringing high-end automobile re-fueling centers to New England". There's a few of them around Hartford and spread across the state. Some have carwashes and EV charging stations, but I think it's too early to see what the Day Hill location will end up with. I saw that Noble is also building a Truck Service and Diesel center pretty much next door at 1966 Day Hill Road. They are a very welcome addition to Day Hill Road and all of its office buildings and commuters.
