Today, I stopped by to get a Diet Montain Dew. There was a worker inside the store heading toward the door carrying a huge stack of plastic trays. I acted as a Good Samaritan, and held the door open for him. He rushed right by me like I was invisible and didnt say one word of gratitude or even acknowledge that I did a nice thing for him. My wife had a similar bizarre experience here. She bought a newspaper and handed the guy $2. He was jammering away on the phone throughout their transaction. He never acknowledged her once, didnt even look at her, just made change, handed it over and kept up his yammering. Pretty rude on both counts, don't you think? So if you want gas, a bag of chips, or a Mountain Dew, you'll do fine here. Just don't expect any courtesy

The store was clean and organized. They have a deli, meat department, bakery, and so on; it's a full service grocery store. The bakery was awesome. There were so many fresh baked treats. The store reminded me of Dave's Market in RI. Overall, a good spot for groceries!

Today, regular gasoline was $3.07, which is an OK price. Average sized convenience store inside, and one weird thing I noticed was NONE of the groceries on the shelves were marked with a price. So, if you want a jar of mayo or a can of soup, you'll find out the price at the register. The very best thing about this BP station is Eli's Deli which occupies a nook in the front left corner of the building.

Separate ice cream freezer chest up front, right by the register for those Ben & Jerry Popsicle spur of the moment scarfing lapses. Has a few home-made cold sandwiches and wraps, plus the ubiquitous convenience store hot dogs and sausages. A nice touch is the hot Jamaian meat or chicken pies under a warming lamp. Sometimes the lottery players bog down the registers, but hey- its part of the character of this place. Always an interesting group of customers here, its a pleasant experience to be a part of. The workers here are fabulous- they seem universally loved by the clientele.

Typically, I don't review gas stations but this one is pretty new, clean, and large. There's an electric vehicle charging station, diesel, gasoline, and a Dunkin attached. When we went, the drive through was not ready yet but it looks like there will be one. There are restrooms and plenty of snacks and drinks to choose from. They also serve coffee, breakfast, grinders, and ice cream.

They've just been open for two weeks and offered a rock-bottom gas price of just $2.89 a gallon. Oh, and by the way, they have an incredibly sweet number of 16 gas pumps. It was one of my cheapest fill ups in quite a while. After I gassed up, I went inside to check out the store and buy a lottery ticket. Well, they've been open for such a short time they're not quite ready to start pumping out those tickets yet. Their spacious convenience store was neat as a pin and stocked to overflowing, and I saw a Dunkin' counter way off to the left. The young lady at the convenience store register was personable and very friendly when I chatted with her about the place. Noble's website says they are "a Connecticut-based business bringing high-end automobile re-fueling centers to New England". There's a few of them around Hartford and spread across the state. Some have carwashes and EV charging stations, but I think it's too early to see what the Day Hill location will end up with. I saw that Noble is also building a Truck Service and Diesel center pretty much next door at 1966 Day Hill Road. They are a very welcome addition to Day Hill Road and all of its office buildings and commuters.

Nothing. Even the inexperienced one leaning against the wall who was just watching. This is poor customer service....it really is. When I think of CVS, I think of prescriptions not anything else that's for sale in the store. I go to CVS to get a prescription. I should go in. I should get out with really no delays They should be ready to rock during busy time. Others behind the counter just watching or doing fairly nothing is unacceptable. Simsbury Pharmacy is a much better choice. Only come here if you absolutely have to

There's a mailbox next to the entrance if you have mail. I went after the pharmacy closed, and it was dead. Yet the cashier gave his hello as soon as I walked in, asked if I needed help.... I'm not sure there was anyone else working. But they have self check out so who needs extra humans? The store is fairly large, and pretty clean. It was a standard store though, with everything you need or want from a CVS. No comments on the pharmacy because I had no interactions with them.
