Have been going here for 25+ years and have always received a smile and friendly service from whoever was behind the counter.

The store was pretty clean and well faced. They did have a older looking Amerindian statue outside, I assume because of the large collection of smoke products inside. They also had beanie babies? I loved the ice cream machine, and if I drank it, would probably appreciate the coffee machine. There does not seem to be a restroom inside the shop itself.

This is in the heart of the crowded suburban megaplex on the Simsbury-Avon line. There are huge driveways on both sides of Shell's corner lot, so getting in and out is never a problem. They have quite a few gas pumps, so I've never really had to wait to gas up here. Gas in Simsbury is expensive everywhere, sometimes a 25-cent piece more than what you find on the Berlin Tpk. So it's a given that gas here is going to be expensive, but not a penny more than the equally expensive Mobil across the street. Which makes me think, wouldn't it be sweet if these 2 got into a price war instead of playing footsie with each other? You can save a few bucks with your Stop and Shop points, you have to slide in your Stop and Shop card before your credit card, and the price per gallon will drop. Mine dropped 20 cents this morning. So the price of gas is at the local market rate, there are tons of pumps, the place has easy access and egress. And unlike the prior review, I never had a problem with a malfunctioning gas pump. Also unlike the prior review, I would not call the guys who work there "clowns". I've always found them to be courteous and helpful. The convenience store inside is pretty good as convenience stores go, Good place for a newspaper, soft drink, maybe a lottery ticket. All in all -the total picture of "A-OK".

Today, regular gasoline was $3.07, which is an OK price. Average sized convenience store inside, and one weird thing I noticed was NONE of the groceries on the shelves were marked with a price. So, if you want a jar of mayo or a can of soup, you'll find out the price at the register. The very best thing about this BP station is Eli's Deli which occupies a nook in the front left corner of the building.
