The store was pretty clean and well faced. They did have a older looking Amerindian statue outside, I assume because of the large collection of smoke products inside. They also had beanie babies? I loved the ice cream machine, and if I drank it, would probably appreciate the coffee machine. There does not seem to be a restroom inside the shop itself.

This is in the heart of the crowded suburban megaplex on the Simsbury-Avon line. There are huge driveways on both sides of Shell's corner lot, so getting in and out is never a problem. They have quite a few gas pumps, so I've never really had to wait to gas up here. Gas in Simsbury is expensive everywhere, sometimes a 25-cent piece more than what you find on the Berlin Tpk. So it's a given that gas here is going to be expensive, but not a penny more than the equally expensive Mobil across the street. Which makes me think, wouldn't it be sweet if these 2 got into a price war instead of playing footsie with each other? You can save a few bucks with your Stop and Shop points, you have to slide in your Stop and Shop card before your credit card, and the price per gallon will drop. Mine dropped 20 cents this morning. So the price of gas is at the local market rate, there are tons of pumps, the place has easy access and egress. And unlike the prior review, I never had a problem with a malfunctioning gas pump. Also unlike the prior review, I would not call the guys who work there "clowns". I've always found them to be courteous and helpful. The convenience store inside is pretty good as convenience stores go, Good place for a newspaper, soft drink, maybe a lottery ticket. All in all -the total picture of "A-OK".

They have a large selection of meat choices like Cajun turkey, beef gyros, and Philly cheesesteaks. You can either get a grinder which she bakes in store, a wrap or a hard roll. They also offer breakfast sandwiches. I got my husband the Philly with peppers and onions on a grinder. She cooked the meat to order not in a microwave and the bread was humongous! Very flavorful, big chunks of peppers, plenty of cheese. I got a turkey and Swiss on a roll with tomato and lettuce. I was actually a little overwhelmed at all the choices since it was my first time there so I went with a basic choice. The meat was sliced to order, the roll was large and fresh, made nicely and you get a bag of chips with each sandwich. She was very friendly and it didn't take long. Her husband was nice enough and gave my son two candies. We enjoyed the food and the fact that it was prepared fresh. I think we'll start going there for a good sandwich!

It was done for $742.00 which seemed high for pads and rotors etc. A few days later brake warning lights came on. I found that the brake fluid was low. I checked with Ron's and was told what the correct fluid I could use to fill it. A week or two later it was low again. I called Ron's and was told " it sounds like a leak". Duh. Made an appointment but pedal went to the floor a day before the appointment. Got towed after 1 1/2 by our tow service. Problem was a very simple mistake done at time of brake job. Simple tightening. I spoke with the manager and was told that the interior is cleaned the same despite the packages. An employee, as well as a manager told me that I would need to pay for detailing IF I WANTED SEATS, INTERIOR SPRAYED AND WIPED DOWN. The dashboard, seats, bank of seats etc were not touched. Ended up with lots of debris left in my car, and obvious footprints, etc. I was not expecting a detailing, but I expected far more for the price. Do not recommend.
