I could be tempted to spend my money here

Great little store! We've stopped here many times during our daughter's four years at school in Simsbury. I've relied on their fast deliveries to her school for everyday care packages to birthday flowers to celebratory cakes or chocolate dipped strawberries. It's always clean and is staffed with friendly people. The deli counter and salad / soup bar are especially impressive. The fish and meat counter look inviting but I've never bought anything there because I stay in hotels when I'm here. This store offers specialty items--olive oils, various sea salts--that I would experiment with if I lived here.

Great recreation of team logo in correct colors.

This is not on the same level as my all-time favorite fried seafood restaurant, Lenny and Joes, but it's also less than a mile from my house and not an hour down to the coastline. Overall, I think that this is a very good fried seafood plate. There are ample fried shrimp, fried scallops, and fried white fish. The batter is light and not greasy. The fries and onion rings are really very good. It also comes with plenty of tartar sauce and ketchup. The Captain's Combo is $25, the bit smaller version is $18, both a good value and delicious for the price! Go to the seafood department at Big Y, takes about 15 minutes to get the take out.

Customer service was good from some interactions with employees. Another big plus is the parking lot; I love that they have a spot for people with kids. The place was busy when I went, but self check out was quick and easy. I'm a fan of their prepared foods, bakery, meats/deli, and produce sections. I think the prices are comparable to their competitors. Overall, a good chain to purchase all of your groceries.

This particular S&S is really new and high-tech looking. They have better self scan systems and handheld self scanners. I recommend using the self scanners to save on time; just make sure you have a stop and shop card. The self scan kioks were a little finicky but once you're used to it, it runs smoothly; they have security in place and alerts the employees of any issues. The employees at the self checkouts were very helpful. They still have the S&S card, you can easily sign up at the service desk or online, to get sale items. If you don't have a card, just ask the employee to scan one for you. The service provided by the other employees there on our recent trip was good; deli and seafood counters specifically. The aisles were organized and fully stocked; the prices were average to above average (it's no Aldi). My kids were very entertained by the robot roaming around! (And so were we) We surely didn't have that back in the early 2000's; we've come a long way with technology. Parking was plentiful and when we went (Friday evening) it was quiet. This has become my new favorite Stop and Shop!
